Toyota Avalon (2010 and older) Midsize | Compact

Toyota Avalon (2010 and older) Midsize | Compact

DESCRIPTION

Tthe 2010 Toyota Avalon may still be the best value in its class. Inside its spacious cabin, the Avalon can feel like a luxury car. Its upscale interior and quiet, well-cushioned ride wouldn't be out of place in the Lexus lineup. The Avalon's up-front purchase price is also higher than some similar cars, but large car prices have been rising quickly in recent years, and its price tag no longer stands out much. The Avalon offers a lot for the money -- and is more reliable and fuel-efficient than many competitors, allowing buyers to recoup some of that cost.

All trims are equipped with a standard 3.5-liter, V6, 268-horsepower engine that achieves 20-mpg in the city and 28-mpg on the highway. A 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard.

Strength:

Silky smooth ride. I look for excuses to drive this car. Gas milage is great. The trunk is huge. The stereo sounds fantastic. The common sense layout of the controls make them easy to operate.

Weakness:

To date I have not found one thing wrong with this car.

I tested the BMW 325i and the Audi A6 and the Avalon absolutely outperformed them hands down.

Strength:

Great ride, quiet, comfortable, and wonderful service.JBL sound

Weakness:

not any biggies. Just that I think it should have come standard with a moonfroof and nice sound system

we love our avalon. If you are going to buy one we reccomend that you get the XLS. (which we did not but widh we had) It is VERY roomy, comfortable, and quiet. Its a pretty good buy too. You get a great service and quality experience. I would suggest people who are in all different social status to look at the car (unless you just bought a $400,000 rolls royce)

Strength:

The most wonderful use of 25,000 dollars that I have ever spent!!!!!

Weakness:

Toyaota dealers are such jerks for thte most part. They can be very arrogant. But the good news is, you don''t have much dealings with them after the purchase!!!

Let me just put it this way...if you can find a better automobile on the PLANET, I''ll eat it! I am a loyal Toyota owner for only ONE raeson...I am a woman that knows nothing about cars, and these things are maintenance free. When I was in college, I had a corolla, then a celica, and I drove all over the contry alone with not even a second thought, because neither of them ever let me down. When I married, we bought a camry, and then this avalon. I have 2 small boys and that poor car is soooo abused. but it has 125,000 miles now, and still has never gicen us a minutes trouble. Anything that is wrong is only a nuisance. For instance the cigarette lighter has never worked very well. And the pearl paint finish that we payed extra for, chips alot. Now with the kids we need more room, so of course, I just assumed we''d go and get a Sienna. However, after reading all the bad reviews on those vans, I think I am going to have to jump ship and go with the Honda.

Strength:

Great Value for the price...I''m considering a 2002 already - Power Power Power...surprising takeoff...solid, great gas mileage for such a large vehicle...and spacious. Still looks new for a 5 year old vehicle..however...the new Avalon 02..looks a bit older and bland when compared to current vehicle styling.

Weakness:

I hate the location of the emergency brake. I hope it has been changed in newer models. The power seats are just not very comfortable for a larger, taller individual. Some wind noise at higher speeds.WHat were they thinking with the remote trunk button inside the glove compartment- Very 1980ish

I located my immaculate 1996 Avalon XLS for under 14K with considerably average mileage for texas 89k. Great condition and maint. Has most the bells and whistles offered Leather, sunroof, dual power seats, indash 3disk changer & cassette, -Its increased my love of driving and I''ve have added 18k miles in 10months so Its almost time to retire this one for a new while I''m still getting offers to sell everyday!!

Strength:

See above.

Weakness:

See above. Too expensive. Toyota dealers are miserable to deal with.

I don''t like this car even though it runs perfectly. Styling inside and outside is boring. So boring that I don''t like the car at all Performance however is excellent: Pefect drivign position, perfect engine, perfiect ergonomics and perfect radio. Perfect brakes and perfect transmission Unfortunately the styling is so bland I don''t like this car.
