Plmouth Breeze
Strength:
The car is a pretty good size. The handling is okay and the minor maintenance components are labeled so even I know where my oil and antifreeze go.The fading car light is a nice touch.
Weakness:
Location of battery.Vibration of the steering wheel.Squeaking noise EVERY time I release the brake.Annoying cranking noise when it changes gear. The fact that if you're planning a trip and want to know how may miles you've traveled the odometer wont show you.No transmitter for unlocking doors or opening trunk.Weak radio. The car is too low to the ground. I've had this car a little over 6 months. To be perfectly honest the only reason I got it is because I needed a way back and forth to work.I wouldn't reccomend this car to my worst enemy.First of all my service engine light came a day after my 4 month warranty was up.I could expect that from a used car.It also had nearly 95000 miles on it.I don't understand why the car has a cigarette lighter but no ash tray.Or why is that when my battery did I couldn't go to Auto Zone or O'Reiley Auto Parts to get it replaced because the stupid thing is in front of my drivers side wheel.Seriously.I had to end up going to Tune-Up Masters because they were no liable for removing tires. The rear end of the car is up so far you have to be 5'7 to look over it.The factory sound system is the weakest I've heard and 'til this day I don't know what is up with the cubbie that is below my radio.A person can't even put the damn car in park and have a drink in cup holder without knocking it over.I should've knew American made cars were nothing but trouble.Right now I'm in the process of saving my money to buy a car from an auction. To anyone out there who is actually interested in this car you're a fool if you buy it. Strength:
Good mileage. Trunk space is good for the size. Fairly comfortable ride.
Weakness:
No pickup. Brake problems and now transmission. The ride is good and it gets great gas mileage. I have had to add brake fluid every 2-3 weeks ever since I purchased vehicle. I've taken it to two different dealerships and they can't find anything wrong. I have had the car for almost three years and must replace the brakes about 8-9 months. I've never experienced that on any other vehicle ever. Now I have 85,000 miles and they tell me I need the transmission selenoid replaced; of course, it will cost a small fortune and only a dealership can get the part. Go figure. Have generally had FORDs previously and should I ever be blessed to get another vehicle, it will be a Ford again. Never had problems with them but listening to others decided I would try something else. I would trade it in but with all the miles I know I will still owe on it and I don't have the money. Strength:
Roomy
Weakness:
EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate my car! Everything goes wrong with it! I had an oil leak, my main engine seal fell off! It was leaking 2 quarts of oil for every 60 miles! My car shakes when you go over 20 mph, then it stops, and then it starts again! When breaking car shakes, have replaced rotors and didn't help. Car sputters and dies alot. Now, one of the brackets that holds my exhaust system was rubbing against my gas tank and caused a hole about the size of a quarter. Similar Products Used: NONE and NEVER AGAIN!!!!! |

Strength:
Lots of options for the money. Great reliability. Lots of fun.
Weakness:
Need more cubes. This has been a great car. we have 104,000 miles on it. We have driven this car into the ground with no major problems. Just regular tune ups and brakes. There has been no abnormal brake wear. The 2.0 is too small for this car. Needs 2.4 or a v6. It performs well for what it is. There were head gasket problems with the early models.(pre-98). Trannys have to be serviced every 25-30k or it will die. Love the gas mileage and the options. Great car for the money. Anyone who likes a grand am or cavalier over this car is a fool. Strength:
good jam from 4 banger, good sound system, comfort( even 7 months pregant she still finds front seats comfy), decent on gas considering size of car
Weakness:
Chrysler for not backing their products there are enough of these cars on the road if they had problems they sould of fixed them rather than discontinue the line Myself and my wife find this an enjoyable car to drive, it is well optioned out, has fair jam from a 4 banger, people who complain about power should of got the 2.4, thats what test drives are for, we do all regular maintenance and have very little problems yes the head gasket and some small leaks but don't go to the dealer find a good aftermarket mechanic who does a good job and it won't be an issue anymore, we would and have recommened this car to others Similar Products Used: sunfire, tempo, grand am, grand prix, jetta every car has it problems this one is no different all things considered |

Nice shape
Weakness:
Brakes, transmission, slowness, almost everything. It sucks, it always has a problem, just one after the other, in fact its in the shop now for a new transmission, and it is the 2nd time. Brakes are so sorry it is a shame. i other word "SLOW." I need a new car, but i have no money. Dont buy this car. |

Breeze Expresso
Strength:
I love the looks and the color (deep purple). Lots of room interior and trunk (my kids can't reach each other to fight when in their car seats :)!). Three adults fit in trunk w/room to spare (yes we tried it). Speaker system is very nice, although we did put in a CD player.
Weakness:
Shaking steering at high speeds. Low visibility out of rear at times. I love me Breeze. I looked over all the other reviews, and I have had no problems like everyone else seems to. My steering does shake at 80+ mph, but that just keeps me from going that fast!. I have no probs with the headgasket, brakes, transmission, or anything else. (Knock on wood.) The only thing I remotely dislike is the fact that I am short and find the rear window difficult to see out of at times. It could stand a bigger engine (I have the 2.0), but I don't hot rod, so it is sufficient as is. Similar Products Used: 1992 Ford Tempo-it was a piece of crap; 1991 Escort-cute little car; 1981 Dodge Mirada- loved it, nice big non-girly car, but it was dieing a slow and painful death. |

Fearscape
Strength:
Reliable, roomy, nice trim looks. Good fuel economy. Solid at high speeds. Fine handleing.
Weakness:
Sluggish in extreme cold, sqeaky brakes, smallish engine. Gas vavle sticks every now and again, causing car to sputter. Patchy headlight beam. And, my taillight cover is broken. :) I have had this car since I bought it in 1996. It is now up to almost 70k, and I have never had any real problems. Minor oil leak repaired. Brakes replaced (thanks to the fact that I didnt replace the break pads for 5 years), and a few recalls. It has been very reliable for the past 6 years, and was in a major accident, but myself and my passenger were not injured. Part of the dials for the a/c and heat dont light up anymore. If parked nose-down on a hill, the gas gauge reads 'empty' for a while until I drive it for about 10 mins. I use this car on roadtrips alot, for vacations and seeing shows, and it have been more than reliable. It starts every time I get in, and runs like clockwerk. When nobody else's car is running, mine is. Similar Products Used: Buick LaSabre, also very solid car. Ford Tarus *ugh!* >:P |
