Weakness:
noisy interior at high speed(but still not bad considering low price) Very good car to start with and keep. with effecient mods very peppy at 160hp. Only problem is there is a lot of body roll when cornering at enjoyable speeds Similar Products Used: civic-good competition. neon-no competition |

Im 16 and this is my first car, it came loaded with extras: Power locks, windows, sunroof, cd-player etc. Stillen has tons of stuff for it. Best gas mileage of any car in our home. Semi sporty look.
Weakness:
I like it, but i wish it had more power! I have the 5-speed and it is fun, but it could be better. I have installed a new soundsystem and several small upgrades and have never had to make any modifications. The car has good handling and runs easily with very little if any problems. Similar Products Used: The only other car I've driven to compare with is my friends 97 Hyundai Accent. And this car blows the Hyundai away!! |

The reliability is great. Had very good experiences with the Nissan service/body shops. Very good fuel economy, especially since gas prices are the highest here. Great commuter car: seats are comfortable on long trips. It's not a Civic, so not everyone has one. Too bad 200SXs are not manufactured anymore. I would definitely recommend it to anyone as a first car. (I got it as a high school graduation gift)
Weakness:
Stock stereo sounds shallow. On wet roads, I can hear water in the rear tire wells... makes it sound like water is entering the cabin. The reliability is unbelievable! My car has been through three accidents (one was my fault). The repairs were $400, $3,900 and $8,000... almost equaling my purchase price! Even after all the serious accidents, both front and back collisions, the car still runs great. I now have 59,000 miles on it and the engine still runs like new. The dealer fixed a rattling noise coming from the passenger side door under warranty. That was the only problem not related to the accidents. Similar Products Used: Civic- did not like the manual shifter; everyone has one! |

I really like the feel of driving this car. This car is so easy to get upgraded parts, (ecu, intake, exhaust)with the right parts you can increase the hp to a total of 160hp, not bad for a light car. I've loved this car from the start, I didnt want another civic.
Weakness:
It would have to be the sensative engine light that comes on,you just have to reset it though. Not to many compalints on this car. This car is a race ready from the get go. It is very roomy inside, rides very nice.. would recommend to anyone that likes the 80ish style two door coupes, defintely get the 2.0l engine it is well worth it. Its a great car to boast in the school parking lot Similar Products Used: Compared to my moms Integera, even though it lacks agreat engine I have beaten the Acura V-tec |

Economy, quality, And reliability!
Weakness:
Lack of power and excess body roll. In the 4 1/2 years that I have owned this car, I have had no problems to speak of. I believe this car is a value that would be very difficult to beat! It is very good on gas. I would reccomend this car to a person who wants quality, not aesthetics! Similar Products Used: None |

200SX SE-R
Strength:
A sturdy, reliable, good handling around town vehicle for errands and the short haul. Economical to own and operate. The SE-R has a very good 140hp engine, same as the one in the Infiniti I20 and with all the amenities, the car is still a bargain package.
Weakness:
This model has been discontinued and .therefore, is hard to find. 1998 was the last year it was sold as a new car. Too bad, it was an unrecognized winner, although CAR & DRIVER was very high on the car, naming it one of the ten best for several years. Perhaps the answer would be to find a good used version. This is one sweet package of an automobile. There were very few things I wish I could change: short turning radius is one. Another thing I did change: the dreadful joke of a premium sound system which came as part of the SE-R option package. Good tires, good wheels, good 4-wheel disc brakes, good handling, very good engine, good interior with room for real people in the back seat, nice fit and finish out of Smyrna, good gas economy. Hard to equal for the purchase money and long-term satisfaction. The 1998 model was lauded particularly by a famous consumer reporting publication. Similar Products Used: Honda Civic and the Acura Integra. YThe Integra was especially good competion for the SE-R. |

Strength:
personality in the under 20k class, great mileage, great fit and finish, strong engine
Weakness:
way too much body roll, some squeaks and rattles, noisy I bought this car because I needed to replace my 79 RX-7 (absolutely great car) and it was the best in the under $20K crowd. The Civic was nice, but not sporty enough. Other choices are dodge avenger, chevy cavalier, or base mustang -- no thanks. The car has great power for a 4 and I still average 26-27 mpg with very hard driving. The suspension and steering are excellent, although the car has too much body roll (the RX-7 had NONE). A few squeaks and rattles have developed on my 22k mileage car. If you're a budge enthusiast, pick up a 98, get some stiffer springs (the stock shocks are fine), and have a great time. |

Overly sensitive "Check Engine" light This car does not disappoint. Loves a twisty road and can get off the line nicely. Doesn't have the pathetic (non existant) torque problem of the Civic. Similar Products Used: Neon,Civic,Integra |
