Strength:
Very sporty & fast for the price. Love the way it handles around tight corners. Nice room all around. Comfortable seats.
Weakness:
Cup holder sucks, blind spots aren't the best I just bought this car about 1 week ago after driving a 93 Lumina for about 5 years. I've gotta say I'm real happy with the purchase. First gear seems to run out a little fast but it still has a nice jump, especially once you get into third & fourth gear. You can't have anything in the cup holder if you plan on changing the station on the radio. I would recommend this car to anyone who is thinking about a well priced sporty car. I'll be driving this one till it's dead. Similar Products Used: None |

Super performance, great looks, lovely leather interior
Weakness:
The standard alloy wheels I thought were a bit average, so I now have 7-spoke League Tantrums on there. Highly recommended. This car was privately purchased instead of opting for a company car, and what a great investment it is. Excellent performance, eye-catching good looks, good 10-stack cd player. If you're unsure at the moment whether you want one, you certainly won't regret buying it Similar Products Used: Citroens, Peugeots, other Nissans (the Sylvia) |

Strength:
Ride quality. After being lowered 2.5 inches you can take any turn at any speed. The get up and go is much better than any american car with get up and wait.
Weakness:
People are right, the cup holder is in a dumpy location. The stock shifter is too low with too long of a throw. Oh yeah the EGR system is a problem with SE-Rs. Awesome all around. The SR20 engine which is famous for power really comes out to play with exhaust and intake modifications. add some expensive plug wires and a few other parts and you've got a fast little car that looks a little timid. Similar Products Used: 2000 Civic SI. The 200 is more responsive but you never hear VTEC in a nissan. 0-60 is near the same. |

200sx SE-R
Strength:
1)ENGINE ENGINE ENGINE The Best all-around 4-cyl money can buy! 2)Handling 3)Interior layout and quality 4)Climate Controls 5)Four-Wheel Disc Brakes 6)Excellent Price-- a bargain for what you get in the SE-R package. 7)Good interior room for a small car.
Weakness:
1)Air Conditioner doesn't get cold enough. 2)Paint chips a little too easily. I drove a Black 1998 200sx SE-R for three years and I loved every minute. The SE-R package made the 200sx a fantastic deal. Sun Roof, 15-inch alloy rims, 140HP 4-cyl engine, Four-wheel disc brakes, power package with keylees entry, etc. One of the best deals around (today carried over by the Sentra SE package). Very reliable-- no unscheduled maintenance needed in three years. Change the oil, rotate the tires and it's all good. The engine makes this car shine: Loves to rev! Unlike Honda engines, this one has low-end tourque to go along with the horsepower. Similar Products Used: Honda Civic SI: Not enough low-end grunt, handling not as good. |

Strength:
Engine, acceleration, braking, looks, comfortable--hell, I even like the much-reviled sound system. The sunroof works. The fastest car with an automatic transmission I have driven.
Weakness:
People are pretty right about the stereo--it's not the stuff for heavy bass. There's some squeaks and rattles on the interior dash, which I'm getting taken care of. The biggest problem is that when first starting the car, if it is in reverse it sometimes gives up all power and just barely does anything beyond drifting backwards. It's an uneasy feeling. I punched the accelerator once to get it up to speed in a short amount of time and the tach dropped to zero very briefly before revving. Let's see--since getting this car, I have put myself against a new Mustang GT, a Honda Civic EX 2-door coupe, BMWs, Infinitis, Chrysler convertibles, and others at stoplights. Among all of them, the only one that beat me was a new Nissan Maxima SE. The Mustang was the biggest surprise--with a V8 engine, I fully expected it to soar past me. In the hands of a 45-means-65 driver such as myself, it probably would have. But the SE-R just kind of crept past it. And pretty fast, too. The pioneering moment was between the SE-R and the convertible--two in the morning on the Howard Franklin Bridge in Tampa. Five miles, racing at around 95-100 mph. Neither of the cars had any customization. The only times I slowed down were to let the convertible catch up briefly before accelerating again. Strength:
Very reliable, safe, great milage,no problems except for once the engine light came on for no apparent reason. Great price for such a great car.
Weakness:
Cupholders are in a bad spot, factory speakers have bad quality, not enough horsepower to suit me. The cars paint isn't very shiny, i need a new paint job although its not chipped or anything, I think it's just from being in the sun all the time. I really love this car and I don't think I could part with it for anything else. And when this car dies, and I dont think it ever will, I'm sure I will get another one, maybe an SE-R. If you want a car that will never break down & has a cute look for a great price, get a Nissan 200 SX-SE. Trust me, you won't regret it. 95 Se-r Top Speed 109mph I own a 95 200Sx Se-r and this babe has alot of ba**s on the start it can easily smoke a mustang v-6 auto and camaro v-6 auto from 0-80mph. Have actually smoke a camaro v-6 auto from 0-60 one time by half car lengh, i was telling myself that damm i never thought this sr20de se-r engine could take a 3.8l v-6 170++++ engine, i guess i was wrong the difference was i car was a stick and it also was way,way lighter than his it really doesn't matter how much horses you have it's just how light your car is. A/C is awesome and actually have too turn it off cause of getting too cold in 95 degree Florida weather.

Cup holders not in a convienient place. I absolutely love my purple Nissan 200 SX SE. I have had no problems up to date and no modifications were required. This was my first car and took me 3 months to find, so it was definitely worth the wait and recommend it as a first non-family car for anyone. I plan to keep my Nissan and run it till it can't run any more!! Similar Products Used: Honda Del Sol-Nissan wins! |

Very perky engine, superb handling, excellent fuel mileage, "check that out" looks, sporty interior, power windows, locks, mirrors.
Weakness:
Those darn cup holders, stock stereo and speakers, weird electrical oddities. Absolutely love this car. Great power for what you pay for. Never had any major problems with this car other than replacing the alternator. I had that same problem one of the other reviewers had with the engine light coming on for no reason. I asked a Nissan Tech about it before I committed to paying to find out why it came on and he said, "As long as it ain't blinking then don't worry." I didn't. 4 months later it was like a permanent part of my dashboard. Then I got the oil change and it mysteriously went away. I had the oil changed about 3 months back and the light still stayed so I chalk that one up to the Twilight Zone. Starts everyday, very quiet idle and overall driving experience is one of the best I have ever had. Changed the stock 195 series tires to 205/55/15's and there were no curves to slow down for. Can't wait to lower it an inch and get some performance parts on it...namely a turbo charger. If you get one you will not be disappointed. At 60000 miles experienced a "ton" of electrical problems POCKET ROCKET ! Great acceleration, cornering, and handleing. At 62,000 miles I think the car is getting faster. No rust after 5 years by the ocean in hot, sunny Florida. It just a great feel car in the seat and with your hands on the leather steering wheel.
