Strength:

Stylish Body, 5 stars Handling and response in the road, Good stereo system (Standard), low road noise (even at sppeds over 70MPH), Good CAR

Weakness:

- Breaks wear fast (30K-35K) - Trade-in value is unfair

This is my second galant (first was a '96), In my opiniion this car is one of the best. My is a 4 Cyl. LS model, has really good response from the engine. Over 70 MPH this car ROCKS on the road, really good stability and handling, My brother in Law he had a 2003 Ford Taurus, and sucks compare to this car. You get also more for your money, first at all is one of the best looking sedans, then you get also Power Locks, Cruise Control, NICE Stereo system, Wood interior, and a lot of options that are Xtras in other brands. Only problem with galants are you will need to re-emplace breaks every 30K-35K miles

Strength:

- Styling - Engine power - easy to customize - reliable

Weakness:

- paint easily dinged - limited headroom for anyone over 6'0 - brakes pads wear quickly (every 30k)

This is the third Galant my wife and I have had. So you kinda can say that we are big fans of the car. With more 80,000 miles on our car we are happy to say that we haven't had any major problems (knock on wood). There were some cosmetic problems at first. The rubber liner of the headlights came off the first year. The rear bummper cover gets dented at the slightest tap and the paint gets dinged alot. But overall the vehicle is realiable and fun to drive.

Strength:

Exceptional handling, smooth ride and acceleration. Great value.

Weakness:

Smaller than competition. Gas mileage.

This is my second Galant and third Mitsubishi vehicle in a row. I just love the Galants because they are more fun to drive than that the Camry and Accord and have great low end torque. I call it the bargain Bimmer. I also managed to get three toddler car seats in the back seat. I too have had the front bearings replaced on both Galants, thankfully under warranty. Too bad Mitsubishi doesn't make a world class luxury car otherwise I would stick with Mitsu.

Strength:

Good size (roomy, good price

Weakness:

Cd player

My husband and I own two Galants. We haven't had any problems with either car. The 2001 has 11,000 and the 1999 has about 23,000. The only thing that I can say neg. about the 1999, is that the cd player straches up cds, and does play as nice as the 2001.

hub caps suck!

I absolutely love my Galant. I have had just a couple of problems; the only major problem i had was with the CV joints...i had to get them replaced, but my warrenty covered it! I would totally recomed anyone intrested in a mid size sedan to try the Galant.

Strength:

Nice price for all the features delivered w/vehicle.

Weakness:

Customer service after the sale from regional to corp reps. Weak hp from engine. Tranny could stand some fine tuning on shift points. Firmer suspension to match sports coupe image.

I selected this vehicle because it fit all my wife's needs for a commute vehicle. It had all the luxury features she required to commute 60 mins. each way. Everything went smoothly until 19k miles. Noise similiar to wheel bearing failure developed. For the next 35k miles we had the vehicle to 3 different dealers more than ten (10) times. Diagnosis and repairs ran from tires underflated & overinflated, get new tirew w/softer compound or harder compound and resulted in front bearings being replaced & rotors turned twice. Now have lemon lawsuit against Mitsubishi since they refused to honor any warranty work since Dec. 2001. CD and battery warranty work were rejected. We now are waiting for the attorneys to resolve this mess. Mitsubishi had a decent product but the after sale service is deplorable. Vehicle is also underpowered compared to other competitors in its class. Need another 40-60hp.

Strength:

nice body style and color

Weakness:

transmission and the rattling from speakers . my husband got this car for me and i am very upset about it!!!!

The transmission has always been a problem as i have replaced it once, and "just" yesterday it went out again and needs replacing. i am going to junk it. even though i still owe money on it. i also noticed that when going down hill the car or transmission (whatever it is) would halt or jerk. i do not like the mitsubishi i think a car should last longer especially if you are having all the regular maintenance done

Strength:

Great pick up. Gas Mileage . Great Value

Weakness:

Quality vs Nissan subpar.

My first japanese car and I'm impressed with its pick up. It moves faster from stand still than my 93 Mercury Cougar. But would lose the race once I got over 70. Excellent gas mileage. Not as good quality as the Nissan Altima in my opinion but a very good value. Really great handling around the curves. Car has a great look. Much better than the Altima.
