Strength:

Good looking. Economical - getting 25-27MPG city driving with 4cyl engine. Pretty quiet. Soft ride. Nice dashboard and steering wheel, standart leather-wrapped in ES and abowe.

Weakness:

Build quality is cheap. Everything squeaks, glovebox shakes/rattles, cheap plastic on dashboard (except that 4 inch soft line), cheap-sounding stereo. Automatic sometimes slow - have to press all the way to change to lower gear.
Not stable on corners, suspension too soft.
Price depreciation is way to quick - mine was 1 year old and price already dropped from 20K to 13K. and now it's even less. Standart tires (goodyear) pretty bad on snow.

Thought it'll be better. I drove plenty of different cars - BMWs, VWs, Toyotas, etc. Read plenty of reviews that this car supposed to be japanese BMW-killer. Well, far away from truth. Although ride is much better than smaller corollas and civics.

Strength:

Very quick and fast, 110 mph with ease. Insanely reliable only took into the shop for timing belt, alignment, tune up, filters, etc. It has made it up to 194,000 + miles and still runs excellent! And no problems. I'm still waiting for something to go wrong but it hasn't. Just a super reliable car. Same brake pads but I'm replacing them soon and the struts will need replacement but this is just routine maintenance. Loves corners and curves. Iterior is nice and roomy. I was shopping for an Accord but when the sales rep talked me into driving this WOW! After test driving Accords all day long, this thing threw me into my seat. Blew away everthing I had tried (Accords and Camrys). I drove it to the bookstore and looked up what the consumer guides say about it and it rated it pretty good so I bought it and loved it ever since! Gas mileage fair. I'm getting about 32 to 34 highway. I've got the 5 speed manual. Passes inspection every year!

Weakness:

Wish the back seat opened into the trunk. Goes for long ways till a tune up is needed and you start to worry why? Parts are costly and dealers are few.

Trouble free, fast, great styling, fun and great handling. Multilink suspension loves curves. 140 horse power has it to conquer that nasty hill with ease. Not very good for off road use.

Strength:

Fast(my car is a five speed standard), Sharp, handles good on corners. I have performance Plugs and wires, performance springs in the front, 15" Chrome 5 star split rims with 50 series low pro tires, $4,000 stereo system installed, blue lights, and I just installed these new winshield sprayers that light up neon blue on the hood. Definetly a sharp car I love it.

Weakness:

It sways but I think it may be the sway bar(have to get it checked out)not power windows. Can't open right back door from inside(somthing must not be hooked up inside door) Gas isn't that great but the way it drives makes up for it.

This car is definetly the best car I have bought so far. It has speed, room, and class all in one. I'm gonna throw an intake on it and some more parts to get the hp up, I beat a v6 not to long ago, so if your into speed I definetly recommend this car and a standard transmission if you know how to drive it.

Strength:

I was very pleased until I went to have the vehicle inspected. The car failed inspection three times for BRAKES. I was told that the inspection station would continue to fail a 2000 Galant due to a problem that all vehicles were having. I had to take it to the dealer that I purchased it from, have them fix the brakes and then they themselves inspected the vehicle. I'm confused! Is this legal? Would the brakes pass if I took the vehicle to a state inspection center? It failed at two separate locations in New Jersey. Why? What is the dealer not telling me? I wonder if the corporate office finds this interesting. Please help me!

My experience is listed above. I have nothing else to say.

Looks nice, roomy for tall people, sounds nice with exaust! A/c works good.

Weakness:

Loud suspension noises when going over bumps, seats make noises, cup holders get stuck, and worst of all a week after I bought the car It got stuck in gear. Had a friend who's good with cars check it out, replaced clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder and it still got stuck, somehow there's air getting into the master cylinder! Any idea's?

WRITE DOWN NAME OF ALL THE PARTS THAT THIS CAR HAS. HOW YOU HAVE MOST OF THIS CAR WEAKNESSES.

I HAD THIS CAR FOR ABOUT ABOUT YEARS. BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW. THE ONLY REASON I BOUGHT THIS CAR IS THAT I HEARD TO MANY BAD REVIEW ABOUT MY 99 FIREBIRD. SO I FIGURED I WOULD BUY A BACK UP CAR IN CASE MY PONTIAK WILL BREACK DOWN. I AM DRIVING FOR ABOUT 20 YEARS, AND ALWAYS HAD AMERICAN CAR. sO I THOUGHT THAT I COULD TRY JAPANESE CAR, PLUS THE PRISE WAS PRETTY SENSEBLE. ONE MONTH AFTER I BOUGHT THIS CAR I PROMISE MYSELF THAT I WOULD NEVER EVER EVER WOULD BUY PIECE OF #### THAT WAS MADE BY OUR ASIAN PARTNERS. OUT OF MONTH OF OWNING THIS CAR I SPEND DAY DRIVING AND 29 OTHER DAYS FIXING IT. I SPEND MY LIVEWORNING ON THE CARS, I NEVER SAW SUCH JUNK. AFTER 1MONTH OF OWNING THIS CAR IWENT THROUGH 1 ENGINE,1 TRANS,SENSORS. I AM NOT EVEN TALKING ABOUT LOST TIME AND MONEY.
THANK YOU GOD THAT I STILL HAVE MY FIREBIRD. WHICH, BY THE WAY, HAVE 90,000 MILES AND ONLY MONEY I SPENDED WAS ON OIL , FILTERS AND SO ON(THE ONLY REASON I BOUGHT GALANT BECAUSE I THOUGH MY PONTIAC IS NOT RELIABLE).
IF YOU DISAGREE WITH ME PLEASE FELL FREE TO WRITE AT GOSHAP@ HOTMAIL.COM
THE ONLY REASON I GIVE THIS CAR ONE STAR IS THAT I CAN'T SELECT 0 IN THE MENU.

The latest thing happening is the headlights dim when i accelerate or let off the brake or on push on the brake, also when car shifts down or up. so pretty much all the time. I cant find the problem!!! Im very upset and discouraged. And so glad i bought a warranty.

for the brake problem, go change the pads and machine the rotor that might help it. for the headlights dimming problem, i'm having that too and i'm thinking about changing the battery, cuz i think that's gonna solve it. and u said about a weird engine noise? what's the mileage on ur car? if it's beyond 80,000, try this thing. empty ur fuel tank, go to some good gas station and pump 92, don't use 87 anymore. after u pump the gas, go to some car parts store and buy a thing called "octane booster" and put it in ur fuel tank. keep doing this for a few times until you think ur tank is full of #92 gas. i think the noise's gonna be gone ever since the first time u use this. at least it did on mine. the car's just like a person, he's getting old so he needs to eat good, and sometimes, he needs medicine too. ^_^

The car is pretty quick, but i wouldn't call it very fast. I have drag raced a 2001 eclipse, and a 1998 bmw 740il and wooped em both.

Weakness:

The interior stains way too easily.Water stains it! I wish i had leather. Not many aftermarket parts for it.

I like the car, the performance, the looks, the room. The only problem i,ve had with it has been a leaky oil pan gasket. It was replaced before i bought it.Wish there was more stuff on the aftermarket for it. My car is equipped with a 2.4 four cylinder motor and a 5-speed manual transmission.

Very good AC, Lots of room-everywhere. Good stereo. Great headlights.

Weakness:

Lots of engine trouble-shop wouldn't specify the problem. A few exhaust problems, seats aren't very comfortable, squeaks and rattles, color of interior-lt.tan & dk.brown, rides rough, interior stains easily, ac sucks too much engine power.

I do not like my car, have had too many problems to list. I don't think that they are quality made cars.
