Strength:

RWD with lots of power. Good in bad weather. 1 ft of snow in MI, streets not plowed, and that car plows through it all. A little slippery, but with its chrome solid bumper, you can plow through anything. On the road, its a smooth ride. No rattling in the car or out of the car. Solid. Great for just driving on the Highway. Good teen car. Safe.

Weakness:

Don't let the sit too long, trans will seal up. Also a gas guzzler, but with that power, who cares!

This car is sweet. With its power and the fact that its a RWD boat, you are the biggest car on the road. Since the car is over 11 years old, you needn't worry about scrathcing it up. It's very safe and strong. Just driving is a pleasure. You can't hear a thing, this car is a smooth, quiet ride. Your car is the beast on the road. My brother had a 1985, and it was the same smooth ride. The thing hovers over bumps. It seems that the tires move up and down all over the place, but the body of the car doesnt move an inch when going over those MI roads. Awesome ride. We call it an I-Beam. Solid. Tough. Sweet ride. Forget those little Japanese FWD cars, your car will run them off the road!

"I-Beam of accidental manslaughter"

Strength:

Reliable, comfortable, safe, low maintenance.

Weakness:

None that are signifcant

(1998 Model) - This is my second Marquis. I drove the first one 100K miles in two years. If you want a road car that is safe and reliable without the cost of a Town Car, then choose the Marquis. It is the same chassis, body style and engine of the Town Car but $10K less in cost. I have purchased both Marquis' as ""Program Cars"" and the only repairs in 140K miles is a set of brakes. Gas mileage is acceptable at 25 MPG on the road. The 98 model has an enhanced A/C system with Climate Control that is excellent. The trunk is huge. Can carry four full golf bags with no problem. Afetr I run this 100K miles, I will buy another.

Ride, handling, amenties, value and price!

Weakness:

MPG....should be better, my avg.is 19.7mpg, I'm not sure where Ford gets the 25 mph??? LeSabre gets a cool 30mph! Rear Seat leg room, overall quality and lack of support in the seats.

A pretty decent battle wagon! A great bang for the Buc today. My LS has traction control and the handling package, a must for this vehicle! It handle extremely well, corners at high speed well and changing lanes very solidly. Easy to lose sight of the speed limit since it does handle so well! 80 mph feels like 55! The stereo system has surprisingly good sound quality! The leather seats give little support and can be less than comfortable on long trips. The rear seats and leg room are considerably less than one would expect out of a vehicle of this size. I think the Buick LeSabre limited has it all over this vehicle with performance and interior room. However, I do like this vehicle and would reccomend it!

Weakness:

Everything not mentioned above

Please I beg for the love of God never Purchase a Ford Probe that is not a 1996 Manual. I bought this piece of do-do from my cousin for 500.00 dollars. At first I thought to myself what a deal it was a nice blue color. It rode pretty smooth but in a few weeks time it started jerking like a man thats masturbating. I got the transmission fixed and eveything was OK for a few months. Then whenever I mashed my foot on the accelarator it took it a while to speed up. Then It just stoped moving. IT took it like a month to fix. Then it rode smooth had to change the muffler. I was real happy I had a nice beautiful car to go to college with. But one day it just didn't move anymore.

I was told that it has something to do with "the rods" I belive that when the oil leak was fixed, something improper was done that caused the problem I have know. can I get some advice please.

A.O.D. TRANSMISSIONS!! THAT IS WHY I MADE MINE A 4 SPEED MANUAL.

I AM 23 YEARS OLD. WE'VE HAD THIS CAR FOR 12 YEARS. WE BOUGHT THE CAR WITH 90,000 MILES. THIS CAR TOOK ME THROUGH 2 GRADUATIONS, AND I STILL DRIVE IT TODAY. IT RIDES AS SMOOTH AS A CADILLAC, ONLY IT HAS MORE POWER AND IT IS FASTER. OF COURSE MY GRAND MARQUIS IS NOT YOUR TYPICAL ONE THAT CAME FROM THE DEALER THE WAY IT CAME. IT IS ONE OF A KIND BECAUSE I BUILT IT THE WAY IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE BUILT. 4 SPEED MANUAL, 302 FULL ROLLERIZED, BIG CAM , LOTS OF COMPRESSION. THIS BABY REALLY MOVES!!!

Strength:

Good Engine Power, good Seating, great for a family.

Weakness:

Bad Brakes, had to fix the breaks, they were really sesitive even with a little push of the pedal the car would break abruptly. Air condition broke twice, but this car is old so I would expect things like this.

Nice Car, Good Handling, Huge Trunk, Confortable Seating, Good Engine Power

Large enough for my teenagers and a few friends. Smooth ride and comfortable.

Weakness:

Anybody else having trouble burning oil ? It's been suggested by my mechanic that these 4.6 engines have valve guide and valve seal problems. Also have power lock problems with the driver side.

I was asked buy the seller, "why did I want to buy an Ole Man's car". I told him I reviewed consumer reports, the price, and the fact that it was large enough to pull my camper.

Strength:

Great power, 23 mpg highway, great ride, great handling, awesome sound
frigid a/c, great sound system, (this space isn't big enough to list
everything!)

Weakness:

TFI module on the distributor - can't keep a good one on there and its
around $60.00 each time I've replaced it. (I payed $25 for one and it
lasted a whole 3 days.) They go out right now and you don't even know
it's coming. Other than that, there wasn't enough '88s made!!!

I'm 18 years old and get alot of flack for having a "grandma car." I
just let them talk and then I wave while I'm passing them when they've
broken down in their rice-burners. It's a great car, I love it. The
body is in great shape and the interior is perfect. It now has around
85,000 miles on it still drives and runs like a new one. Since I had
dual exhaust installed, people stop and listen when I rumble by them.
Not only that, but when it's waxed and perfectly clean, I turn on the
4 blue lights in each wheel well and watch people drool. It's a super
car. I really take pride in it and I know it will last a lifetime.
(Another thing, it's a REALLY safe car. I hit a huge deer doing around
65 mph - only replaced 2 headlights and pulled a dent out of the door)
