Strength:

5.0 V-8!!!It HUALS!!!!! It has TONS of low end torque and a decent amount of high end. It the safest car you can get if you are going to get into an accident. RWD. Will last forever

Weakness:

GAS GUZZLER! Poor on any slipery surface, wet roads, snow, mud and sand. horrible traction with rear wheels due to too much torque. Do expect to be making turns too fast b/c it handles like a bus.

The best car I have ever had. Its fun and safe. It goes 0-60 in 7.3 seconds. the best sound system ive seen that came stock. Its just very fun!!

Strength:

V-8 Engine, Nice smooth ride. Great First car, acceleration is great. Roomy and overall great looking car.

Weakness:

Nothing I could really think of, the trans goes early but the warentee covers it.

My parents were in a jam and wanted to buy a new car but still owed for the Marquis I have. So I helped them out and bought it from them for $3000. At first I thought I would get made fun at in school but it wasnt that way, the V-8 is great and shows it power all the time. Everyone around me had little zippy cars but got into accidents left and right. My mother got a 1999 Grand Graquis and she loves it as well. This is a great car, I put decals on it and a spoiler and it looks sporty, so I have a sporty lux car that is power as anything.

By far the best equpped car for the money

Haven't found any yet

Thrilled. I bought the car used from a dealership. My wife and I were in the market for a minivan, but as hard as we tried, we couldn't make ourselves by one. We spotted this car on the lot and fell in love with it. It has more than enough room for the kids in the back seat, and more than enough for us in the front. Fit and finish on this car are exlemplary. No squeaks or rattles. It holds the road well, and considering its size, it gets good mileage (21mpg in the city). We have taken the car on a couple of day trips and I was very impressed with the way it drives. Our car is the LS with every available option except the handling package. Even without it, the car does a wonderful job on the road.

Great car, easily the best car I've ever owned. The handling and performance option simply made the car. Have enjoyed it immensely. Liked it so well, just bought a '93 Grand Marquis LS as a second car. Others complain about fuel mileage, but you gotta realize these cars are not Geo Metros, they are made of real metal, have real motors, and are made to last longer than the payment books. Easily the best value on the road.

Quiet, Good-Looking, Lots of room.

Weakness:

It's HUGE! It's very hard to maneuver. Alternator recently caught fire! Numerous radiator problems. Transmission problems

I'd say if you want a challenge, buy it. After driving this car, you can drive anything

Strength:

Good solid 5.0 V-8. Lots of space, comfortable, quiet, no rattles or cabin noise of any sort. Lots of low end torque. Good gas mileage for a V-8. Great for cruising down I-95 from Maryland to Florida.

Weakness:

It's a boat. It is actually longer than a Chevrolet Suburban. Tranny could be a little smoother. The car is actually a bit overpowered and is easy to loose control, especially in the rain. With wet roads I have had the speedometer go past 85 with the car sitting still. Very sloppy cornering and handling.

I would recommend this car for people who do lots of traveling out on the interstate. This car is a bear in the city. Almost impossible to parallel park. Plus it is commonly used as a taxi cab so it is highly succeptible to getting stolen. It gets about 31 mpg on the highway as the engine turns an approximate 1500 rpm at 65 mph (no tachometer). One thing I like about this car is that no matter how steep the hill, this car will never kick out of overdrive even at 35 mph. It has incredible torque. It is one of the last rear wheel drive full size cars left.

The closest car I have driven is an 86 oldsmobile cutlass ciera. No real comparison. The Oldsmobile is faster off the line but the Grand Marquis is all about awesome highway power.
