Strength:
Powerful engine, safety, looks. Ride is good, fair on bumps.
Weakness:
Gas mileage, some drift and lean on turns, city driving not the best, but that is to be expected with a large car like this. A good overall car if you are looking for a nice looking full sized automobile. Recommend the handling package option. Similar Products Used: Towncar seemed to be a bit more stable in turns, and took bumps better. |

I love the smooth, quite ride this car has-even after four years and 50,000 miles, it's just as smooth and quite as the day I bought it new. I specifically chose the Handling/Performance package for the great looking wheels, and the air suspension which keeps the car level and looking good at all times, under any load. We have traveled on vacations in this car, and use it on a daily basis, and have yet to have any problems what so ever. I am especially impressed with the cooling system in this car living in the AZ. climate. To me this car is worth the money! Style, Reliability and Safety in the same package.
Weakness:
Not on my car! Overall I enjoy this car very much. I still enjoy driving it on both short and long trips. My wife uses it most, and it gives me piece of mind knowing that she and the kids are in a full size, reliable automobile. In my mind, vehicles this size =Safety. Mercury did well on this vehicle, and if they continue to manufacture the Grand Marquis, it will continue to be as popular as ever! Similar Products Used: 1987-1990 Caprice. More safety features, engine advancements, and chassis advancements. Obviously more money. I still like both cars overall, but think the Grand Marquis is more dependable. |

Strength:
It's so freakin huge, imports hide in terror of the beast. 5.0 EFI has a ton of torque, and the ride quality cannot be beat for the price range. Leather, A/C, power everything. I couldn't ask for more for 2 grand
Weakness:
Gas is killing me and parking is a real adventure This car is awsome. My grandpa drove it in North Dakota for it's entire life. Looks and runs brand new with new paintjob, rear differential, water pump... the whole nine yards. Loving the pimpin leather, hated the stock radio and speakers, highly suggest replacing. And this is the last year they made boxey Marquis with 302's. I don't like the rounded ones made after 92. The older ones just look cooler Similar Products Used: 1986 300zx turbo, 1991 Geo Prizm... no comparison to either |

can't find none... honest Safety, think about it when you see all those imported tin cans. I can tell you that these cars are SAFE from own personal accident experience, I walked away, the other driver didn't, he was driving a import tin can... I work for extended warranty called Ryan, every day I take about 100-120 phone calles from different dlr around the country. I have worked there for 9-months and I am very happy to say that I don't get marquis and crown vics at all.........most calls are about explorers and counturs. So based on that I am planning to buy marquis or crown vic soon. To all the people who own crown vics or marquis this is a very good and reliable car, so take care of is and drive safe.
Weakness:
I think that one problem that thiese cars have is electrical problem, but besides that every thing is a-ok great car------I strongly recomend this vehicle........... Similar Products Used: carpice, marquis is better no questions ask |

Power and size are the greatest strength of this car. Oh and comfortable....
Weakness:
I don't like the bouncy suspension, but getting used to it. This car is the greatest!! I bought it from a co-worker and just needed a safe and reliable second car.....now I like it better than our "good" car. First week I had it I drove it from Atlanta to Iowa and got over 27 MPG on the highway. This thing is made for cruising, around town it's a little big, but fits the car seat great and very comfortable. I'm keeping this thing.....only thing I would want is a newer Crown Victoria with bigger tires and rims instead of hubcaps. Similar Products Used: Chevy Caprice a little. |

Strength:
This car is quite large and powerful. It also handles quite impressively for a car of its size while still maintaining a comfortable ride. It is also pleasing to look at and has plenty of creature comforts. It is also a safe car with plenty of steel surrounding the driver.
Weakness:
Fuel economy could be better, but that is to be expected from a car of this size. Value: I give this car the max. Where else can you get a relatively late model car that will comfortably carry 6 people with lots of luggage for a price like this. For just a few bucks more you get everything! Climate control, dual 8-way power seats, trip computer, upgraded rims, Leather.... Similar Products Used: I have had 2-86 Grand Marquis', and within my family we own a 98 Grand marquis and a 91 Lincoln Towncar. They have all been very comfortable and reliable. Personally like the 90s body and engine better, but all have been GREAT. |

Surprising Power for such a large car. The size gives a measure of safety not found in smaller econo-boxes, but you do lose a few MPG for this luxury. Have no mechanicle problems with this car, and do not expect any!
Weakness:
Suspension is a bit soft, but these cars were designed for older people. Also, people who are used to a front-wheel-drive car may have to adjust driving habits in winter, as these are rear-wheel-drive cars. These cars are one of the best values around. They give the best "Bang for Buck" - V8, Rear-wheel-drive, Body on Frame construction, and a host of other amenities. As long as Ford continues to develop and produce these cars, I will drive one! Similar Products Used: 1992 Cougar XR7 - almost as much power, lesser handling, but Far more Reliable! |

The car is very fast which makes my gas tank go empty almost every 3-4 days what do you expect a V-8 to average 28mpg-above I DON'T THINK SO.
Weakness:
EATS TO MUCH GAS WITH THE GAS PRICE SO HIGH THESE DAYS!!!! Getting rid of my Gas eater and get something that performs about the same or alittle bit better with averging 28-above so i don't have to spend money fill up the tank on both vehicles every week. Similar Products Used: FORD Mustang GT- average about the same except the mustang has alittle more performance. |
