Strength:
I love the leather interior(smells great!), bose stereo and the handling.
Weakness:
no place to hold cellphone. Owned two honda accords before I owned the G20t. Accords are good cars but they suffer from bland styling and crap stock stereo systems. G20 is best buy for money and I can't get enough of it. Similar Products Used: Out handles and outstlyes the accord and outperforms the audi a4. cannot use the a4 full power in turns, too much wheelspin! G20 turns razor sharp no matter what you do! |

Strength:
best deal around for those w/ a budget under 22k out-the-door considering the standard equipment, bar none. who would want a camry or accord at this price?
Weakness:
when changing the oil filter, you get bruised knuckles because of the placement angle. the best thing about this purchase was the no-hassle dealership. i bought the advertised special and no bait-and switch or extended warrantee sales pitch was thrown at me. i've had it 7 months w/o any problems. no trips to the dealer needed. infiniti is keeping the price down by not offering a 6 cylinder. either get a 5-speed or pay more for a higher-end vehicle if you want to redline it. |

Strength:
elegant styling, great fuel economy, extremely reliable, fun to drive
Weakness:
no cupholders I purchased the car from a friend 4 years ago with 58,000 miles on it. Since then, I have only replaced a few things - including tires, CV joints, brake pads, and the thermostat. The car now has over 107,000 miles on it and has been extremely reliable. I'm so glad I bought this car - it's been so cheap and easy to own. I've only noticed a few minor problems: the lowest fan speed no longer works, the sunroof leaks slightly during heavy rain, and the am/fm tuner on the radio no longer works, although the cd player and cassette still do. Also, sometimes if it's in a humid place the engine floods and it's difficult to start. (This has only happened a handful of times.) Other than that, I've really enjoyed owning this car. It still looks brand new and wears very well, both inside and out. Still drives like it's brand new. I would buy one again in a heartbeat. Similar Products Used: None |

Reliability,handling,5sp,brakes,visibility,spoiler,sound system, price, good looks, unleaded fuel, easy and cheap to maintain, long basic warranty & free roadside assistance, Infiniti name & best dealership service ever imagined
Weakness:
depreciation,no V6 option Bought new in 1996. Have never had a problem except for light panel around vents going out when new repaired under warranty)--no problem since. Car has almost 80k and still no parts have been changed except tires. When cleaned, have gotten compliments about great looks. Added aftermarket spoiler when new--looks much much better. Really love this car. Although it has the very best manual transmission I've ever experienced (blows Honda, Nisssan, and Toyota), in rush traffic too often so when shopping for next car, will only consider automatic) so would probably definitely buy G20 again if only it had a V6 option. Otherwise, this car was (and is) the best deal for the money and owner satisfaction. Similar Products Used: '94.5 Nissan Sentra,'99 Maxima,'89 Mustang |

Strength:
Original looks, not many out there, good power w/MT, good handling, easy to work on, timing chain, hydraulic lash adjusters, reusable tranny gasket w/AT, spacious for compact/mid-size, BULLETPROOF, reacts good to aftermarket parts, good value, and girls love it.
Weakness:
AT is too weak, older G20's have power window problems, and a little on the heavy side. My first car was a '91 G20. After driving many Honda's, Toyota's, and other Nissan models, the G20 was (and still is) the best. Maintenance with '91-'93 is easy if you have factory manual (should've come with car). Any novice to intermediate person with mechanic abilities can save a lot of money. Never took first car to shop, everything was in the book. Unfortunately got wrecked. Test drove 2000 Honda Civic Si, 2000 Nissan Maxima SE, 1994 Acura Legend, and 1999 Acura Integra GS-R. Still ended up back at the G20, '96 to be exact. Got it for a screaming deal, had 42,000mi., got it for $10,500. Perfect condition. The thing I liked the most was the well-balanced power range. Honda's power was unimpressive and bigger sedans felt too heavy. Though the G20 is heavy, it doesn't feel heavy in the corners or acceleration. My first G20 was race modified, as with this one, they're perfect for performance enthusiasts as well as stock daily commuters. Though the '91-'93 engine is said to have more potential, I'm still happy with the over-injector manifold engines. After driving a '99 G20t, I still come back to the HP10 chassis rather than the new HP11. The inerior of the P11's are nice, it doesn't make up for the all-around package of the P10. I might sing a different toon when I test drive the new SR20 found in the '00 and '01 models. Only time will tell. Similar Products Used: Totally unique, compares to none. |

G20t
Strength:
Handling, fit and finish, high rev engine, nice set of simple luxuries (cd, air, leather, sunroof). "t" version has fold down rear seats, which is very helpful for hauling. Dealers eager to please though service is not cheap.
Weakness:
Parts are expensive. Must like to rev and to drive stick otherwise it is underpowered. Tight back seat though tolerable for six footer for short hauls. Good value -- fun to drive, respectably luxurious. If you just want the same driving fun, buy a high end Sentra or Civic Si. If you appreciate the package of luxury features and very pleasant dealer treatment, go for G20. Similar Products Used: Honda Accord 90, 93. Good handling but not communicate as much with road as G20. |

Strength:
Looks, handling, gas mileage, reliability reputation, large rear passenger room and cargo room for compact class, price, treatment at the dealership
Weakness:
Acceleration with AC on, low resale value, not enough wood, too much resemblance to Nissan cars, not gadgety enough, useless cupholders Best overlooked value. In comparison with all near-luxury cars that I shopped for, the G20 offered the most for the money. It's the most reliable car in the country. It has great gas mileage and uses regular fuel. I get many compliments about its looks. Acceleration is adequate most of the time. If I'm accelerating from a hill or the freeway onramp is short, I turn the AC off. Funny how the G20 is criticized for being slow, while the Sentra with the same engine and hp gets praise for being quick. G20s usually sell lower than invoice, because of its unpopularity. Definitely would recommend it. Similar Products Used: VW Jetta - bad handling, mushy pedals |

Quality, Comfort, Feel, Suspension, 5Speed, Highway Travel
Weakness:
Parts are expensive. I bought a 96' in March of 2000. Looked like they were having trouble getting rid of it.(5-speed in chicago, no leather, no moonroof) so they guy got down to 7600 for near new, almost perfect, 60K miles. I fell in love from the moment I test drove it. People will tell you its underpowered......but those are just people without confidence. With the manual and suspension of this car, I jet in and out of rush hour trafic without problem. The power (140hp) translates well to the road. I drove a contour a month ago, and there was no translation of power....just a noisy engine and poor handling (and that was the sport edition). All in all a great car. I havent had a problem yet. (im knockin on wood right now) and The stereo kicks ass with two 12s in the trunk. NO CUPHOLDERS. This is the only problem with this car. Holds cans of pop in cool little popout compartment. oil easy to change. Clutch is luxury. 7500RPM redline...where else will you see that? Parts Expensive....Infinity dealership wanted 350 just for muffler install....had pipe welded locally for a few $'s.....sounds great now. Girls are all over this car. Feels like BMW without $$cost$$ I have put nearly 10,000 miles on it in 5 months. Unbelievable.....get one. Looked good in red and infinity service
Weakness:
Weak engine, espicially an automatic, The car does not go at all I would recommend this car only if you like the looks and arent into speed handling is excelent that is if you get it up to speed. Out of all the cars I have owned I think this car would come in last. If you are looking for value go for the volvo 40 series much more bang for the buck. Infiniti G20
Strength:
Looks (inside and out), ride, handling, steering, braking, the automatic transmission, gas mileage, engine efficiency and sophistication, highway passing power, air conditioning, standard equipment, quality feel, perfect size, nice warranty, good resale value, cool brand name.
Weakness:
No folding back seat on non-touring models, and pathetically weak when the air conditioner's on. It drains the car of torque, makes the engine sound strained, and makes power delivery peaky. Maybe it's best that this car only be bought by Canadians. I've said pretty much all I have to say. Similar Products Used: This car was good for its time, but relative to the competition, it sucks now. Most of the 99 model was carried over from the first generation, and what didn't get carried over just got worse. So if you're buying new, Nissan's own Altima makes a lot more sense. More space and more power for less money. |
