Strength:
Greats looks, in and out. Quality materials. Very intelligent in interior design and exterior. Several quality standard features. Good strong, smooth engine. Michelin Pilot Sport tires and 17" rims. Infinity sound system.
Weakness:
No rear seat room (if that''s a drawback). I don''t consider it a 4 seater. Very flimsy rear view mirror. When flip the tab for night driving, it moves the entire mirror. Very limited interior lighting (2 map lights and a tiny light in the back area). Fuel economy. I''ve had it for 4 days, and had to already fill up. I guess that is to be expected. Just bought my Tiburon this past week. I was very interested in the prvious generation Tiburon, but when I heard about the new generation, I waited for it. It is everything I hoped for. Beautiful inside and out. Fit and finish is great. Very well built. I get looks everyday when I''m driving it. I got the V6 6 speed Ultrasports 2. Silver color. Strength:
It is beautiful. I wanted a car that not everyone and their grandmother had (ie Cavalier, Sunfire...) and I hadn''t seen too many of these. Beautiful styling inside and out. Very comfortable firm seats- great for long drives. Nice power sunroof and nice stereo.
Weakness:
I''ll bypass the cupholder and seatbelt issues and go straight to the meat. I''ve had my car for just over 4 months. In that time it has been in the shop 6 times- never for just an oil change. Since the second week, it has had this high-pitched chirp-it has been in 5 times for that and it still isn''t fixed. Once I brought it home with a new shimmy- thay still isn''t fixed. Early in March, I lost power while driving 60mph down the highway at night- no headlights, no power steering etc... It started up again and I got it home. The next morning the keyless entry wouldn''t work. I had an appointment for the exhaust two days later, so I called the dealership the next morning to report everything. Then at noon, I got into my car and it was completely dead. The alternator had surged the night before and melted down the fuse box. It was in the shop for 24 days. I got it back and returned it that same day because the engine chirp ("exhaust") was STILL not fixed. They called techline who advised them to "Bang on the xhaust with a rubber mallot" to try to break any loose carbon free. So I made an appointment to have them bang on it. The morning I went to take it in, all the lights on my dash It was love at first sight. I wasn''t seriously looking for a car yet, I was going to wait until the spring. I saw this car and it had the equipment and extras I wanted and the style I loved- round headlights, rear-spoiler, Audi-esque interior, smooth lines and curves. I still love the way it looks, but it is proof that beauty is only skin deep. |

Strength:
Lots of room. Great exterior appearance.
Weakness:
Very weak pick up. This is my dream car. When I found it it only had 5000 miles and it still has bubble wrap on the rear seat belts. I love the fact that little boys think they can race me, however I know that my car can not touch a Firebird or a Mustang, I''m realistic. I''ve read some of the horror stories and Im praying that none of that is true, and or few and far between. It appears to be a solid car, and I and hoping it stays that way. It will be forever tho, THE most interesting and eye catching car out there. Similar Products Used: Honda, Toyota |

Speed... Speed... Speed... need i say more? Exterior and interior make you seem like you''re drving a luxury car. For the price you''re paying, it''s a steal.
Weakness:
Subwoofer is not what it seems. No bass at all. Back is a little small, but hey, atleast you don''t have to give your friends rided all the time. It looks so good, people would want to steal it. I just purchased a 2003 Tiburon - silver/black leather. This car is HOT. I wanted either this or Nissan SE-R. But I''m happy with my buy. It''s fast and the ride is smooth. The handling is very nice. Can compete with its competitors. Honda? you gots to be kidding me. With a V6, 181 hp, and 6 speed manual transmission, what else can you ask for. It''s equipped with a good amount of torque, which makes driving smoother. You don''t have to rev or downshift a lot when going up higher elevation like the Honda''s or Integra''s. Interior is really stylish and seats are mad comfortable, it wraps around my body. Exterior is very hot. My friends were hesistant because it''s a Hyundai, but when they saw it, they couldn''t believe it was mad by the same company. With 17" alloy wheels and high spoiler, you don''t have to hook your car up. It''s already done for you. When I was test driving it, I was going on to the highway, and I had it on third gear, with my surprise, I was already going 60 mph @ about 4000 rpm. Just a piece of advice, if you plan on buying this car, please learn how to drive stick, and get the GT line with the 6 speed manual. You won''t regret it. Automatic is no fun and it''s a waste of your money and time. Similar Products Used: Honda Civic |

Looks nice....that''s it and we all know looks aren''t everything!!!!
Weakness:
Maybe it is just MY car...but I don''t think so. I have had this car for about a year and I have had to take it in MANY times. The first time was 2 months after I got it and the second time was just yesterday. These are the problems I have had...the emergency brake light was on (even when the brake wasn''t engaged), problem: they had to replace the brake valve and the radiator hose. My car wouldn''t start (this happened 2 times, the most recent was yesterday)problem: they had to replace the clutch switch. My automatic door lock for the passenger side stopped working, replace it. My dome light went out and did not work with a new bulb, wiring was loose. My radio was fried when my drink leaked into it (when you put a drink in the holder the lid is level with the CD player.) My passenger tail light works sometimes (the wiring is messed up). Hmmm, what else?? One of my tires is always losing air. One of my seats wouldn''t move (a bar under neat fell off and somehow caused it to become stuck). I am sure there is something that I am forgetting but I think you get the point. THIS CAR IS A PIECE OF JUNK AND IS NOT WORTH ANYTHING!!! I always get compliments on my car but I always tell them After reading all the other "bad" reviews, I am scared because some of them mentioned problems that I haven''t had yet. Yes, I did say YET!!! I HATE MY CAR!!!! I got it with 38 miles and have had problems from the very beginning. Why they continue to let them make these pieces of junk, I don''t know. You would think you could feel safe and free of worry with this car but just know that there is a reason for this 6yr/60,000 or 10yr/100,000 mile warranty. It won''t last past that. |

This car is amazing. I have the normal model and I can safely say, being a college student that it gives a sporty look, ride, and feel with power to boost and blow my old car away.
Weakness:
The only true weakness about this car is the Radio antenae. It seems to be oversized and floppy. Have a slight worry about running it through an automatic car wash and the antenae going crazy and wrecking the paint job As a college student, most people my age wouldn''t dare think of owning a car that was this sporty looking unless they were well to do or had a great paying job. This car is great. The insurance isn''t crazy like if it was a sports car. Performance beats my saturn 10 fold, great look, and great performance at a nice price. Definately worth looking in to especially with the proposed warrenty as well. Similar Products Used: Driven a mustang, BMW, and a few other cars ontop of my saturn. |

Strength:
Looks, power and low end torque, included goodies, decent cargo space w/ the 50/50 split fold down rear seat and hatchback, overall fit and finish very close to perfect.
Weakness:
ABS and traction control are options, inside lighting is limited, steering is quick but a bit numb, the rear woofer is not what my daughter expected (no window rattling), rear seating is for kids or small people only I had no intention of buying a Hyundai, much less a "sports car". I am 45 years old, 5''11 and figured I needed a luxury car. Under duress from my fiance'', I promised to check out a Sonata (not a bad car, but not what I wanted). While there, I spotted the black version of the new Tiburon with the 17" wheels and tall spoiler. I thought it was Celica or something! Very shocked to find out it was a Hyundai. Took this car for a drive (had to!) and was VERY impressed with the power, handling, fit and finish and the value. It''s not a TT or a Z3, but for my budget, it''s a great find. Seats are typical roadster..low and firm, but very well contoured. Ride is tight and not sloppy at all. I had a Corvette and a Lexus checking me out during the test drive. don''t think they knew what it was, but I was happy to get those driver''s interest up. Anyway, I bought the auto with the tipper option, V6 (185HP w/ nice torque), leather seats, 16" alloy wheels with the B class spoiler. Still get lots of second and third drive bys and most everyone is impressed with the car. Of course there''s the usual, "Ya bought a Hyundai, huh?" comments, but I think the car''s a bargain compared to the Japanese cars. Time will tell, but for now I love the car and my fiance'' is afraid to drive it (maybe a good thing?) Similar Products Used: 92 Toyota Celica, 74 Triumph Spitfire |

hyundai...but they are getting better. In pictures, the new tiburon is very nice looking, so i went over to the dealership a couple weeks ago and test drove one, the V6 Auto. the car was very nice looking but i personally thought the sides of the hood were a little high. the interior is pretty nice..but you could tell it was a hyundai...cheap plastic painted black...however the steering wheel was very nice and had and excellent audio system...power was very smooth and the exhaust tone was petty cool. power was smooth but lacking..it needs to be pushed a little..get the car in higher rpms, it seemed a little slugish but then i looked at the speedo and i was doing 65...just didnt notice it...smooth ride. oh yeah...the seats were very nice...im 6''3, and my head was on the roofline..dissapointing, but i wasnt gonna get the car anyway |

too early for aftermarket parts! can''t wait to sup her up! Absolutely loooove this car. Test drove most sports coupes and was not impressed by the competition. For the money this thing is great; performance, features and looks. Can''t wait for aftermarket parts! Hear they may come out with a turbo version but I hope that they don''t; I want it to be up to the GT owners, as an upgrade. Similar Products Used: Eclipse, Civic, RSX, MP3 |
