Strength:

Reliable, sleek-looking, easy to drive,Good gas mileage, great warranty even with 2nd owner. Has free 24-hr road-side service included with warranty. Love it!

Weakness:

Battery replacement is limited to more expensive type used in Mercedes, BMW's. Had initial difficulty with parking gear and starting car.

I am very happy with this car. It's sleek-looking; still under warranty with 47,500 mi.Fully loaded. Dealer service is impressively efficient and clean. Easy to drive. Though is a used-car, have needed spark plug wire and now battery replaced after driving it for 15 months.

Strength:

Excellent value for money, Much roomier inside than it looks. Powerful engine and good handling.

Weakness:

Shoddy paintjob. weak wipers. So-So gas mileage (for it's class at least).

I really love this little car! When I bought it, I went against all the advice and warnings from my friends and family, but I did my homework and could not find a better value for the money (warranty's best too!) It runs so smoothly, feels tight, handles well. The Elantra really does feel like a much more expensive car, as advertised. I have had no problems with it, mechanically, although I have to warn about the paintjob (wash off that bird doo, FAST!) The only other complaint I've had is a very sensitive windshield wipers motor/link/etc. Where I live it often freezes over, and twice already in clearing off the ice the wipers have 'broken' or come off the motorized turners.

Strength:

very good acceleration. I can beat any stock Honda Civics from Dx to SiR.

Weakness:

Does not save gas. They don't make a lot of body kits for this car.

Very smooth but the tires are not very reliable. They don't seem like they are all-season tires, but everything else is excellent

Strength:

warranty, appears very well built, good acceleration and handling, nice design, lots of extras, great price, good reliability reviews.

Weakness:

Gas mileage doesn't seem to 32 miles per gallon as advertised. Still checking that issue.

I really like the car so far. It is stylish and came with a lot of extras. CD player, sun roof, heated mirrors, power windows, locks, etc. A lot of thought went into this car. The dashboard is well designed. The car feels tight and handles nicely. It has good acceleration too. I have had no problems driving it so far. My only concern is that my wife went on a 250 mile trip and she said once the car made a thump sound, lost power and a light came on on the dashboard. She was on cruise control at the time. She pulled over, stopped and restarted the car and the problem went away. I haven't been able to duplicate it so far.

Strength:

Price is low, many features (including ones I don't even care about, good warranty.

Weakness:

When I purchased the car, the salesperson scratched the bumper and punched a dent in the driver's side door. Then, at 760 miles, it wouldn't start one day. It was the crank sensor. I'm afraid to go places sometimes because I constantly feel like the car may not start or may stall. It makes an irritating whining noise at low speed. Also, there are many blind spots and I cannot see when changing lanes or getting on the freeway.

This car was a lot less expensive in comparison with others of its class and has an excellent. However, the dealership could be improved, and I'm really wondering about the quality and reliability.

Strength:

accelerates well, smooth ride on curvy roads, sleek design, great price value!

Weakness:

none yet noticed except that some mistake it for a nissan altima (smaller version)

Pound for pound, it is one of the best compact cars in the market for under 15K. Its performance on the round and its stylish looks surely looks more than 15K but still you have to drive one to realize that not all that is not-so-pricey equals low quality ans subpar performance.

-Features for the price = superb value -Build quality 30,000km and not a rattle in site -Styling, looks like a Saab, but costs a lot less

Weakness:

Poor service at some dealerships. Luckily there are several in my area. This is the one big area Hyundai needs to improve upon.

Wow!! I can't believe this car is a Hyundai. It has over 30,000km and it still feels like the day I drove it off the lot. Exceptional build quality, with tonnes of features for the price. Can't believe they keep getting better and better, ever since my first Tiburon. One day Hyundai will realize they are selling there cars for way to little cash. I mean where else can you get a car with leather, power sunroof, alloy wheels, anti-lock brakes, traction control, power everything else for under $20,000 Can. All is good after I found a dealership with a good service department, a good thing the car does not need anything other than regularly scheduled maintenance.

Strength:

Pick-up, sound of the engine/exhaust when accelerating, standard features, price.

Weakness:

Reliability and dealership.Warped rotor, shorted-out fuel pump, indifferent dealership who trys to save money by not hiring more service reps to help customers.

Loved the styling, price and standard features. Took a chance over a Focus, which had a worse consumer record.Have had the car 14 months and will attempt to trade-in on a left-over 2002 Focus (improved over the 2000), at my Explorer dealer who offers a loaner car and has 4 service reps instead of 1 at Hyndai dealer, with Ford's current incentives. 6 months ago, steering wheel shook greatly at sppeds above 60 mph. Outcome: Passenger-side rotor had warped. Dealer saved/made themselves money by resurfacing instead of replacing. This means I'M stuck with the the eventual replacement (if I still own it) a lot sooner. Last month, filled-up with gas, restarted car, which started to sputter and eventually stalled and wouldn't restart. After a 90 minute Roadside Assistance wait, had car towed to dealer. Couln't get in touch with Service the next day for over 4 hours!!!!!!!! Tech said fuel pump and wire from fuel pump had to be replaced.Doesn't know cause (can happen again) other than defective part).Car still smells of gas on the outside. This should not happen on a 14 month car.More reasons to unload car.
