My car has 56,000 miles and has NEVER been in the shop for anything other than Normal maintenance ie oil changes. I have never needed the spectacular warranty.

The trunk space is a little small, but it is a smaller car.

I love my Elantra. It is the most dependable car I have ever owned and am now buying a new one, not because anything is wrong with mine, but because I like the new body style.

I would not reccomend this car to no one. it is the worst investment I ever made. I have had to have th alternator replaced Tiwce. The motor shoot spark plugs out of it and the daeler would not fix it and it was under warranty. The passenger side door come open on its on will. Tne seat belts pop off at a deep breathe. The door handle broke after one year. The little inserts in the door 3 of them broke. The seat are the worst the material is junk. The car is not worth the money I payed for it. And the Hyundai Finance company is worst than the car. They are a bunch of leirs and they won''t help you at all. the rims are junk. I have had to have two replaces for just hitting potholes in the road. A real lemon. I will never buy another one of these cars ever!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have some physical limitations and find that the car''s interior is designed so that the driver does not need to strain to perform tasks such as changing the radio station. We take a lot of things for granted when we have no physical limitations. I get excellent gas mileage and that is a real plus.

My windshield wipers appear to be too tight because they are noisy. No other weaknesses.

I have been driving my Elantra for 18 months now and I love, love, love it. I am always bragging to my friends about my car and one of them suggested that I become an Elantra spokesperson because she felt that nobody else could like the Elantra as much as I do. I knew that this could not be true so I did some checking and found this website. My water pump failed the first month that I bought the car and was repaired by the dealer - no charge. I have had no other problems with my car. I drive approximately 80 miles per day to and from work and it is still running like it is only 1 day old. I am going to buy another Hyundai whenever I decide that I am ready for a new car.

Noisy wipers (I think it''s the wiper refill) but they work great.

I have driven my Cardinal Red 4 door Elantra for 16 months now and I LOVE IT!!! The only problem I have had so far were the rotors were defective. They were replaced (free of charge) and I was off and driving again. I think my luck has finally changed cars. This one actually works!!! At this point, I would definitely consider buying another Hyundai again.

Everything is built good. Good power when you need it (5 Speed). Brakes are great.

Some rattles in the doors. Nothing to bad. Can get annoying on long trips. But just hit the door and they go away...even though hitting the door is probably what caused it. I''m sure it would be easy to take care of if I ever took the time.

I have had this car for 8 months (since april) and it has been GREAT! It''s no luxury car. But for the price it can''t be beat. I drive alot. I already have over 22,000 miles on it. I have had no problems. Just been doing my usual checkups and oil changes and it runs fine. There are no signs of it breaking down at all. I recommend this to everyone. When I bought mine I could''nt find one on the streets anywhere. Now I can''t go one day without seeing at least 2 of them. So people must be catching on.

I have had the car for 2yrs, and have put around 78,000 miles on the car, and the only thing I had to replace on the car has been the alternator, spark plugs, and splugg wires. I love the styling on the car. You have the look of a sports car w/ the bulk on the hood going to the lights...The horse power is very good to zip around other traffic in the st. If you paint the car yellow w/ some side graphics people go crazy, very large on the inside, when on the road ((get this)) I get 40+ miles to the gallon....

people still think that they are bad cars, never stays in alignment, front window will break if a small rock touches it, the space around the locks paint chips off too easily,

LET ME SAY IT LIKE THIS IF I COULD BUY ANOTHER JUST LIKE MINE I WOULD HAVE DIFF COLOR FOR EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK. IT IS LIKE I DRIVE A VERY EXPENSIVE CAR FOR LOW COST

Noisey suspension, lack of driver appeal to the car major controls(clutch, gear box and brake pedal)

I have owned this car for just over a year now, no major problems. The car is well built and comes with many extras. Theres only three things that gives me the gripes with this car. Firstly the brakes on my GLS have front disc and rear drums, the pedal is starting to shudder and feel very spongy, after 20000klms the disc rotors need machining and this isn''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''t covered by warranty.The front suspension is very rattly and noisy over corrugated roads.The car is a 5 speed manual and its hard to select second gear without crunching the gears.These last two problems are said to be consistant with the model according to the dealer.Hyundai are starting to make good reliable cars but it''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''s a pity they could''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''nt imput a bit more driver appeal to them. By smartening up the course suspension, the light vague feel of the clutch pedal , the clunky or notchy gear box,the spongy and unresponsive accelerator pedal, and the poor brakes. This would make it a better car to drive.Where the Japanese cars have it over the Koreans is road handling and driver appeal.I think my next car will be a Toyota or Mazda.

superior gas milage for me,I average @ 32mpg and have peaked with hwy mpg over 40!Fun to drive and very functional as commuter car.Interior drive space is snug like a jet cockpit with various controls being well placed and designed.

Somewhat cheap am/fm/cd player(but functional!)Rear cargo area is sparse,could be more fortified.

This is my first 4cyl economy/compact car.For the price this car can''t be beat.It handles great in aggressive traffic,with ABS it can stop on a dime,lots of room when the rear seats go down,european styling and rarity on the road give it unique feel.
