Strength:
It has tested my ablity to deal with anger and stress.
Weakness:
Infinite I bought this vehicle the month before starting college in hopes of having a reliable vehicle that would not strain my budget with future mechanical problems. Much to my suprise, I''ve had nothing but troubles with the transmission. Unfortunately, I bought it with a limited warranty so I''ve had to pay for all repairs. Last week,I replaced the transmission filter, and much to my chagrin I found a large amount of metal shavings in the pan. Also, my transmission has had alot of problems with slippage.I''m taking it into a mechanic next week and I''m wondering if I have enough credit on my credit card to pay for yet another "unexpected" expense. One good thing about the car is that I can use the cigarette lighter or the AC instead of the brakes when I want to slow down. 6 months after I bought this car, I washed it and paint chipped off the back bumper when I hosed it off. I recommend this car to people who have lots of money to pay for future mechanical problems. Similar Products Used: None |

Let''s see, where do I start?!, ho! yes; from the front bumper all the way to the rear one. This car is giving me nightmares. It runs like crap, it breaksdown too much. I replaced half of this junkbox and it still refuse to behave like a decent car. PLEASE LISTEN TO ME. DO NOT BUY THIS CURSED MACHINE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Accent GL
Strength:
Nice air conditioner, nice radio, comfortable seats, roomy trunk, nice europeon styling, nice dashboard, the un-beatable warranty. This car is just as good as the Toyota echo and Saturn. Hyundai quality is better than Nissan and is approaching Honda/Toyota quality.
Weakness:
No tilt steering wheel. Only bad if your extra-large. I looked at the other posting''s and I''m amazed at the high prices people paid for an Accent GL. I bought my car for 8400 It included Air conditioning and free oil changes for life and a tire guarantee! My car came equiped with everything except power windows and locks, which I didn''t need. Shop around for better prices. My car was brand new. Try buying at the end of the year. I bought my car (2001) at year end and saved a bundle. However, you won''t have much color selection. 2 colors were available to me, white or gray. I chose white. Glad I did! If any of you here want to find out where I bought this car in NY. Just let me know by email. I''ll be glad to help you. Similar Products Used: Toyota-Echo - Looked at. Cheap inside. Saturn- An ordinary looking car. Cheap |

Hyundai Accent
Strength:
fuel economy; smooth auto transmission w/overdrive; easy to park; trunk roomier than expected; lots of features: variable intermittent wipers, adjustable seats and shoulder belts, nice cassette deck
Weakness:
Pickup is good for a small car, but it''s still a small car. My only other worry is resale or trade in value, but I expect to have vehicle long enough for Accent to "catch up" with similar models. Lots of car for the money. I bought the vehicle for its fuel economy and warranaty, then fell in love with how much fun it is to drive! I commute nearly 100 miles a day and find the Accent as comfortable as my prev veh, 1998 Toyota Corolla. Similar Products Used: 1997 Toyota Corolla; 1998 Toyota Corolla; 1990 Nissan Sentra |

Awesome gas mileage!
Weakness:
Dents quite easily, (don't walk on the roof! :P ) I am in love with this car! This is by far the best car you can get for the money, and believe me, I did my homework. It's my first brand new car and even though I haven't had it very long, I'm extremely impressed. It has quite a bit of nutz under the hood for being the little car it is. I've had it up to 170kph (just under 110mph) but could've gone quite a bit faster. (don't worry, it's not a habit) My friends won't drink in the car because they always spill it over them when I rip from a stop light. Keep in mind, it is a SUB-COMPACT and will get it's ass kicked by 95% of the cars out there, but hey, how much can you expect. If you are looking for a new car and want lot's of features, but don't want to spend a whole lot... This message is for you! Interior is adequate for low cost vehicle.
Weakness:
Complete loss of RPM's and Power train response !! We have had problems with complete loss of rpms and power train response. When it re-engages it does so nosily and unpredictably. We've reported the problem to the dealer 8 times, have lost almost 3 weeks time on this leased vehicle and the dealer still says they don't know what the problem is and can't fix it. We wrote Hyundai Canada's Head Office and they told us to take it back to the dealership for a 9th time to get it fixed. The problem occurs at highway speed on and off ramps. We have heavy snow, icy roads and heavy rain conditions. Loss of power Train control makes vehicle control very difficult and scary. Hyundai refuses to take any other course of action other than making us return the car endlessly to the dealer for repair. The car has 25,000 km's on it and we're afraid to drive it. THOSE PEOPLE THAT ARE GIVING THIS CAR A 4 OR 5 STAR RATING ARE DOING SO BECAUSE THEY JUST GOT THE CAR, WAIT A YEAR OR TWO AND YOU WILL SEE WHAT I MEAN, UNLESS YOU ARE LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE ONE THAT IS BOLTED TOGHETER CORRECTLY WHICH CHANCE IS AS UNLIKE AS WINNING THE LOTTO.
