Strength:

Well rounded little car, great warranty, lots of room inside with rear seat removed and back folded all the way down. Very quick, fun car. high mileage, low cost. No noise, rear window defog great. Fair amount of room in back seat.

Weakness:

For this price?? come on.... It's light and jumps around a little on roads with rain grooves cut in them but so does my Harley, the replacement tires may be part of problem too. Almost forgot, the plastic parts like the mirrors and arm rests don't last long in the CA sun. Paint fades off and they start to erode, had to repaint them.

Purchased new, sale and rebate also. NO radio, NO OPTIONS, my twin turbo 3000GT VR4 has enough for both! Perfect go to work car. 5 speed little rocket is almost fun in traffic however it gets a little light near 80 mph. two hands on the wheel then. I got a nice comfortable great handling high mileage, 30 plus mpg, car for less than half the price of the big names. I only had 2 odd problems with it in 73,000 miles, a bad clutch master cylinder and loose front wheel inner grease seals. Both fixed for free with free rides home and back. Original brakes are still ok, mostly hwy use. I will get another one if the price stays low. It's no 3000GT but I can buy 6 or 7 Accents for the cost of one. A good second car or low cost compact starter.

Strength:

A lot of get up and go in the 5-speed Fun to drive!! Price Warranty Really good on gas, I've gotten over 40mpg

Weakness:

It scratches easily Sometimes it sounds like air is coming through the closed windows

I really love the car for the price I paid. I was looking for something cheap but nice and I think the Accent does a good job at both. The warranty was a big selling point!! And at the time, there wasn't much else on the market for the price except Kia Sephias, and I haven't heard a lot of nice things about those!! Also, I love the white face gauges and the rear wiper on the hatchback is handy to have. The stereo is good and it comes with A/C.

Strength:

Great Warranty Great Gas Mileage Inexpensive Transportation

Weakness:

No (and I mean NO) power Interior too small for comfort Dents EXTREMELY easily (is it made of tin???) A tilt steering wheel would be a nice option - I'm tired of it hitting my legs

I bought this car brand new in April of 2000. I have had no mechanical problems with it until today. I have only 23,000 miles on it and the water pump just went out. The mechanic said in his 2o yrs he's never seen one go out in a car with that few miles. At least it is still covered by the warranty, but one would expect it to not break down in the first 2 years. Overall, it's an ok car for the money, but I would not choose to buy another one.

Dents really Easily

So far No problems only thing that was wrong at first was electrical related untill we figured out that the radio cables were not all hooked up and were exposed and touching metal. But besides that No Problems at all..Ok Acceleration,Spedometer goes all the way to 130MPH but once it gets past 70 starts to shake a little. But has been very good so far.

Strength:

Fuel economy (range so far 28 to 43 mpg). Front seat comfort. Price. Warranty. Seems to be well built.

Weakness:

Rear seat room. Reputation (but that is slowly changing). The A/C cannot be shut off in the Defrost mode.

An excellent car for the money. I have 5600 miles on it--no problems. I just finished a 4300 mile trip to Memphis & the South. The car ran great, got 38 mpg, and was comfortable for a BIG GUY like me. Review based on 2 months & 5600 miles, so consider this an initial review only.

Strength:

the acceleration, I''ve beat so many cars in races. Look, feel for the wheel, and enough room for all.The engine ruls, 105 hp is good for a small car, the toyota 4 runner 97'' has 110 and that thing is huge.Price is good and the 10 year warranty.

Weakness:

the standard 13 in. wheels, and the car scratches too easily, i washed it and then dried it with a normal dish towel, then in sunlight, you can see many surface scratches.

This car is the sh*t, i love it. the fron resembles a civic and the engine is very powerful for its size. Also this car is looks tight, especially when you supe it up. the body kits for this car rule, and im going to enhance the performance even more. This car rulz, if you diss it, you suck.

Strength:

Some people see the "H" on the hood and think its a Honda, well one person did.

Weakness:

Everything. It isn''t even a good car for getting you around, as many people who like this car say. It is boring, slow and cheap. Who likes to be in a boring slow cheap car? No one!

This used to be my car, until a freak accident happend at the movie theatre. I was walking to the theatre and all of a sudden a Ford F-150 spins (icy roads) out of control and slams into my car! Thank god I wasn''t in it. It looked like the car had been turned inside out! I had hated the car ever since I bought it, so it was almost an early christmas gift for me. Cheap for a reason should be Hyundai''s new ad campaign! It feels like they took the old power wheel I had as a child and made it a car! Cheap plastic is used throughout the car. If I ever got a flat tire, I could change it with the wheels on my lawn mower. Rear seat is more of a "bench" or a "table" to place things. I am 6''2" and I was very tempted to taking the front drive seat out, and sitting in the back, so i could be comfortable. The steering wheel doesn''t tilt, so my knees would be in a lot of pain on long trips (over 20 min!) The engine Hyundai stole from my neighbors go-kart is slower than a snail. It is a hatch back, but i just doesn''t have as much cargo space as a hatch should. The seat pattern makes me think of a cheesey 80''s air plane seat. The fabrics on the seats are cheap and ruff. The ceiling of the car is, well more of a cork peg board, not soft at all. Which seems odd to notice, except your head will hit it every five seconds from the bouncing oh the horrible shocks. Gas milage is good, but nothing special when compared to other cars in its class. All in all. Bad bad car, even for the cheap price, bad bad car. To update everyone, since the brutal death of my Accent, I have gone on to buy a VW Golf, and wow! I never thought a Hatch-Bake could be fun and cool!

Strength:

1. Cost 2. Mileage 3. So basic, nothing much can break. 4. Handles nicely 5. Easy to park

Weakness:

1. Window on passenger side whistles 2. Sounds a little "tinny" 3. Dents easily 4. The dimmer/bright switch mechanism is starting to have problems 5. Interior fogging sometimes--hard to get controls set so it doesn''t frequently happen when temps are borderline cold/hot

My husband calls this car "The Go-Kart" but I love it. We live in hill country and it loses a lot of pep on the hills, but it handles beautifully. We bought the basic, unadorned model and so far, so good. We have 49,000 miles on it and have had no major problems. If the current repair history remains the way it has been with only customary repairs/mileage ratio, I will be happy.

no power ssssslllllloooooooowwwwww ugly carpeting ugly dash turning on the AC made car go slower

It''s an okay car for beginners, but definitely not a choice for an everyday car. The check engine light won''t go turn off though after we drove it on an 1000 mile trip.
