Strength:

Excellent handling in traffic especially over 70 mph. Looks good and has buildable engine

Weakness:

Price, lack of room. Lack of stock horse power.

Good car. Has a smooth engine and good conering characteristics. Could use about 50-70 more HP though. 0-60 is less than 7 if driven right with manual non SH model. Lacks headroom, rear seat room, and trunk space.

Strength:

Handling 0 to 60 in 7 seconds (need I say more) acceleration, low end and high ability to change it's appearance with lots of add-ons, but the classic styling is great on it's own.

Weakness:

head room-I'm short, but passengers whine tendancy to hydroplane scratches easily

spectacular take-off, underated, good handling, my 90si was better, but then, that was the si for you. The V-tech is a blast to feel. For the price you cannot beat this car for performance and appearance. The all black interior was great in Seattle, a bit of a problem in the Vegas sun. Love this car, but still miss my 90si

Strength:

Beautiful VTEC engine, handling, reliability, looks, comfortable front seats, safety, re-sale.

Weakness:

Brakes, rear room... but hey its a sports car.

Best car in its class. A true jem that was underappreciated. You feel so connected to the car, everything works like a well oiled machine. The engine feels like a V-6 but better fuel economy. People sware it has a turbo when I drive it.

I love my Prelude. It's small and quick . . . a great ride for one or two people. The back seat is mainly for transporting belongings - not people, but if that's all the room you need, you can't go wrong. I've never had a problem with the car in 5 years.

Strength:

- great power (VTEC is great) - sexy look (chicks love it) - easy to modify - wonderfully fun to drive :)

Weakness:

- head room - rear seat room

I have had my prelude for no more than a few months now, and I still thank the lord every day that I didnt buy any other car. The power stock is nothing to sneeze at (200hp) and I bought mine with an exhaust system already installed so I was extra happy. The VTEC system on the preludes is much more noticable than on the civic SI. I drove my buddies SI and wasn't extremely impressed, but as soon as my prelude hits 5500 RPM's in 1st 2nd and 3rd gear it's pure driving bliss. I love sitting at a top light just knowing I can floor the throttle, hear the exhaust howl and pretty much smoke whoever is sitting next to me. There are a few VERY MINOR drawbacks such as low head room, and tiny back seats, but who the hell cares!

Strength:

+THE best handleing car I have ever driven in my life. Its up there with the 944's! It can take a full 90 degree turn (15mph turn) at 56mph before it'll start to spin out!!! +Power. It can keep up with pretty much everything out there. I was looking at 0-60 times and all that before I got my 'lude.... Don't worry, the prelude is fast! +Looks. Wow! Does the 4th gen prelude ('92-'96) look nice. +Gas Milage. +Insurance cost. This was a major factor in my car choice. The prelude has cheep insurance, im not sure why though. +No problems yet! +Upgrades are ENDLESS! You can easly find a turbo kit, JDM engine, Body kit, intake, nitrious kit, catback...ect.

Weakness:

+Dents easly +If a repair is needed expect to pay top $ +Near impossable to find +Needs 93 Octane gas +Could use anouther 2 inches of leg room for the rear people.

I was in need of a first car for school. I test drove what seamed like everything (Grand Prix GTP's, Probe's, Cugar's, MX-6's, Camaro z-28, Talon tsi, Eclipse GSX, Grand Am...I know im forgetting some too). All in all, I really wanted an Eclipse because hey its turbo and AWD. But at 17 (with a prefect reccord) the insurance man said it would be $260 a month. The Prelude is only $70 per month with full coverage witch is about the same as a probe and grand am and slightly more then a grand prix. I test drove 2 preludes.... a '94 si and my '92 4ws. The normal (non-4ws) prelude handles quite nicely. Almost exactly the same as a probe, maybe SLIGHTLY better. However, the 4 wheel steering prelude (4ws) is far ahead of everything. 4 wheel steering makes u-turns so so much easyer along with just basic driving. The h23a (si) 160hp engine (only engine offered with 4ws option) has plenty of power. The car isn't a speed demon, but it can keep up with my frineds FULLY bult trans-am (not beat in a race or anything... but he can't loose me). The car is so light and nimble its amazing. Inside is desined nicely. It takes about 2 weeks to get used-to the odd dash layout. Everyone thinks it looks cool, and its easly to see, and perfect to put in a lcd tv screen. The front seats go back very far (more room up front then in a grand prix!)... but it leaves no room at all in the back. The front and back seats can touch! I managed to fit 4 large people (that were 20+ years old) in the prelude before... but don't plan on hauling more then 2 people for anytime longer then 15 minutes. Trunkspace is good, and the backseat folds down too. My 'lude has 80,200 miles on it now. It had 72,000 when I picked it up... so far so good. I had to replace an oxgen sensor for emissions though (regular mantance).

'95-'98 Grand Prix GTP's-Fast, but dont handle good, '94,'97 Probe's-too slow, but handle nicely, '99 Cugar's-Handle very good, but look odd, '95 MX-6's same as a probe, '94 Camaro z-28-OVERRATED!

expensive breakdowns could be faster

I bought my car 2 weeks ago with 133,300 miles, and it is already in the shop. I loved everything about this car, and I thought honda's were reliable, but now i'm having second thoughts. I was testing out my car, seeing what this V-tec thing was all about, then the engine light came on. Apparently I scourched a cylider wall, and it made a horrible ticking and rattling sound. The mechanics are telling me that I need a new engine, which i priced at about $6,000 OUCH!, or find a used engine, which is extremely hard in South Dakota. One mechanic told me that to overhaul this engine, it would cost $2500 alone in labor. Preludes are nice, but damn expensive to repair

Strength:

DO I REALLY HAVE TO LIST THEM?

Weakness:

LOVE THE CAR TO MUCH TO NOTICE RIDE QUAILTY AND SILLY THINGS LIKE CUP HOLDERS.

Well what do I have to say about the prelude. I've been wanting one since they changed the body in 97 to its current state. I was 16 and had been saving up for a car but well it was way outa my price range then. I bought a POS 97 LX MUSTANG and will never buy a FORD aigan. But enough on that anywaz I met a friend about 3 years ago that had one and he had all sorts of goodies on it. I fell in love with the car all over agian and sold the mustang and finaly in 2002 I got the last of the new ones in silver. I was so excited but well my parents were supposed to go give them my downpayment on the car cuz I had to work and it was snatched right outa my hands..... I was sooo pissed but hey thats what happens when you dont skip work to get ure money to the dealership. So currently I'm still stuck trying to sell the mustang and and saddened becasue I cannot get a new one. Oh well easy come easy go. This car is wonderful..... Although yes you can get a FORD STANG GT for around same price I would still go for lude.... Its ligher more modifiable and handles afermarket parts soo much better then american cars.
