Strength:
speed; no 4 banger will give you what its got. Gas mileage is great. 2 seater. Easy to upgrade; speed and looks. Lasts for ever, if you treat her good. I bought mine with 157,000km on it and it is now at 245,000kms - 4 years later and no real complaints.
Weakness:
rust on the wheel wells. If you live in snow or moisture areas get the car sprayed every year. CV joints go like no tommorrow if you take one to many crazy turns. And always chane the timing belt at 95k intervals, if she goes so does your motor. You have to remember the crx is a 16 valve - interferance head- motor, you blow the timing belt, you bend valves, you pay lots for repairs. Other than that NOTHING other then regular maitance is a problem with this car. I purchased my CRX in 1997 for $3700. In needed about $700 work to get it up to speck, and a little body work. I just recently got rid of the car because I purchased a new vehicle; I miss the REX. It''s is the single best sports car every made for the average person; minor problems if any, and easy to fix. Fast, great gas mileage, beautiful, relatively hard to find, engine keeps on going and going and going
Weakness:
the sunroof switch sucks. I''ve spoken to quite a few other CRX owner, and thiers dont work too well either. other than that, nothing bad at all, except they''re not too safe I love my little Hondasaurus rex. Its by far the peppiest 5-speed 4-banger i''ve ever driven. When i bought it, it had 121,000 miles on it. i got it with a short shifter, molded on body kit, and it was lowered. The previous owner had also sanded and primered the whole thing, so it in my garage waiting for paint. on the way back from buying my baby, me and my friend raced this miata and smoked him. that was with a stock engine too. I havent had a problem with rust at al, but my sunroof sucks.t Similar Products Used: None |

Reliable. Always starts. No engine problems- ever.
Weakness:
Wish it power steering and a/c. I bought my car in 1995 with 40k miles on it. After 6 years, the only thing I''ve ever had to replace were the brake roters. I''m not the kind of person that buys a car for speed or looks, but this one provides both. I''ve got very little rust anywhere. Unfortunately, having a baby means giving my car up. Not that I would trade my baby! All in all, the CRX is a great little car and it''s sad that Honda doesn''t make them anymore. Similar Products Used: None |

Honda CRX Si
Strength:
Many aftermarket products offered, reliable, compact, and has some pep for a four banger. Very easy to modify (I''ve seen a 6 go into this car). I''m putting a B16A1 in the car soon. That should be fun.
Weakness:
Rust! I have yet to see a rex with a sunroof that is not rusted. And that hatch. Not surprising, that heavy hatch does make some noise. I bought my rex with 56,000 (not exaclty) miles on it. I was in high school when I first became interested in the little Honda. I had received an ''88 HF model for my birthday (thanks Mom), but it lacked the ponies (64...ouch). 6 months later I found a ''91 Si sitting outside of a dealership, and I purchased it. Recently I became a father, so the rex has somewhat lost its edge (with the car seat and all). Nevertheless, I still maintain the car and hope to keep it for as long as I can. My wife insists that I trade it in, but I always change the subject when it comes up. One cannot get rid of a car that is so fun to drive. As far as problems, the tranny has gone out twice, but that''s because I dogged it racing. Now I''m just concentrating on looks. Racing gets expensive, and even more expensive when you have a family to take care of. All in all, the CRX has been good to me. It''s a shame Honda had to discontinue its production and come out with the "Del Slow". Damn insurance companies. Similar Products Used: The HF. Although the gas consumption is less, I''d trade that for 46 ponies. |

fast, good looking, lots of stuff to do to it body kits engine mods(i plan on buying a 160hp engine from www.ardperformance.com that should make my crx about 6.4 0-60 for about $1500.00)....and like i said before the chicks dig it
Weakness:
RUST RUST on the back fenders... other than that i cant think of anything i love this car,i had a 1987 honda crx si and loved it too its quick sporty...... and the chicks dig it. when i bought mine it had already been lowered and someone put rimes on it. the body and interior are in great shape for being 11 years old. its low on gas. i have only owned my si for about 1 month and some1 already approched me and asked to buy it.(i told im no) =)~ Similar Products Used: 87 crx si.....alot quicker considering that the 90 has like 17 more horse power / both were beautiful cars dependable |

Strength:
Fast, handles well, excellent cornering, looks sporty, economic and my particular car sounds like the ED209 from Robocop when i start the engine! High novely factor. Everyone thinks it's cool.
Weakness:
Rust spots on the rear arches and rust bubbles around the indicators. Very heavy steering on those without power steering. Easy to wheelspin (good or bad?) Rusty sunroof - all CRX's get it. No fog lights. Absolutely gorgeous car. Looks great, handles well, low maintenance and is rapid to boot. Of all the standard colours, black is the best (like Mine!) looks like mini Knight Rider! Standard colours are probably better in America. 9 out of 10, purely for looks, handling and economic fule consumption. A good car for people of all ages to own. I was 20 when i got my CRX 6 months ago, the guy i bought it from was 29 and a woman down the road from me who is 53 owns one! As far as similar cars in a similar price range go, the CRX comes out on top! Please note, as I am from England, the CRX in America may not have exactly the same faults/good points. Similar Products Used: The only similar car in my opinion, is the Golf GTI, but the CRX is more economical and insurance is lower. CRX more unique than the GTI |

Front wheel drive and gas milage
Weakness:
light weight I love this car. The gas milage is saving me alot, with the rising gas prices. What I love the most is the amount of power this little car has. I was suprised when I lit up my tires for the first time. This is a great first car. Similar Products Used: Toyota Ecoe and crx have good gas milage |

Weakness:
Rust...Rust...Rust!!!!! No power steering and no power windows. Great little pocket rocket. Lots of aftermarket goodies for the car. A V-8 killa if modified correctly. A blast to drive and corners with ease. This car hates gas stations. Similar Products Used: Civic hatchback and Golf GTI. |

Quick as all hell, 87 was best year, 300lbs liter than second gens (everything after 87) LITE, means any hp increase I gave it meant it felt like more. Don't have to give every one rides. Big hatch for big stereo
Weakness:
Lack of power steering made it hard to trun at low speeds and bump steer on rough roads, but with out a power steering pump it adds useble hp Mostly plastic but at least it's dent proof. Similar Products Used: Supra/celica (1984), Subaru GL-10 takes a beating like a Subaru and handles as well to but has the preformence (stock it could beat a 84' Supra) of a Supra. |

I LOVE EVERY INCH! God, i could not be more in love with this car. Of course, mine is quite modified :) also has chamelion paint, 15" rims, super spoiler, hood scoops, performance exhaust, you name it. Even though it's a DX, there are no power problems.
Weakness:
Not very fast for racing. Thinking about purchasing a VTEC engine/tranny to match. Oh good god, I paid WAYYYYY too little for my baby... i would recommend it to anyone who doesnt have the cash for a porsche 911, but wants to have just as much fun driving a crx :) fast, reliable, and inexpensive to maintain.
