This is the greatest car in the world. For its small size, its quite roomy, i am 6''2, and i have no problem with legroom. This car is so easily upgradeable. When i bought mine, it had 180,000 miles on it, that factory motor had to go. I was able to put a 99 GSR motor in with ease. No one really expects the little chick car, but if its done right nothin can stop you. It is the most fun car to drive with the position you sit in, and the factory Si seats are comfortable. Anyone who is lookin for a fun, quick car to get, the Rex is your way to go.

Stock motor weak, handling is iffy on high speed stuff

Sweet ride. The thing I love most about my Rex is that nobody else has a custom first generation. Stock motor is weak by todays standards, and solid axle rear end is a bummer, but all of that is fixable, all thats needed is a vtec swap with mounts from HAsport, and a custom double wishbone rear suspension from an Integra.

hf is slow but get 45mpg

305,000 miles with only scheduled maintenance and regular wear and tear all for a car that cost less than $8,000 new. can''t ask for more from an econobox. i highly recommend any honda built car. this car will be a classic so i''m keeping mine. used to ride in relative''s newer chevy''s that were falling apart at 50k miles. they were amazed that an affordable car doesn''t have to be so cheaply built.

I hated all Japanese autos B-4 I got into "The Stealth", my CRX. I hated my CRX the 1st 6 mon. I almost died more times than E. Kinevil cause the orig. owner (a granny) fried 3rd,4th,& 5th grs. I had a new clutch put in, and it was insane. I got whiplash. Little car; BIG BALLS. I''ve won a few, cause ones I race, laugh @ my soap box, not thinkin'' about me pullin'' 0-60 faster than his/her ride. Even if that car is newer,and faster, I lay some rubber,60 mph,6000rpms,in 2nd gear, they give up or panic. Never race passed 1/4 mile cause alot of cars pass me by the time I hit 5th, but if I''m doing 90 and some schmuck wants some, I''ll pass ''em cause they''re too wussy to do 120. I guessed my top end @ about 135 cause spd meter tops @ 125, but my spd climbed after I buried the needle. I call it the stealth cause it''s blk, sleek, low, and it handles like a giant, luxury 5spd gocart. I want it to be border-line street illegal. Friends laugh at me when I say I''m gonna install a v-tech, supercharge, or both. If I''m feeling mental, then top it off w/ 10# nitro cherry. I will say it''s the most fun, practical, efficient, snappy car I''ve driven, I''ve drove alot of cars in the past, but this is the 1st car that was all mine to roll in. I''m mad cause Honda hasn''t come out with a ride as unique as the crx. Honda cars today are dull and a dime a dozen. They need to make a NEW CRX SI stock w/vtech, or stock turbo w/2.8L 6spd, I said 6 speed manual trans, front wheel posi-traction. Or even stock supercharger, who knows? But Keep it simple. 4cylinder, or straight 6. Some crazy stuff like that. GET CREATIVE AGAIN, HONDA MAKERS. later honda heads
