Strength:
Does the car has a strength other than giving trouble? Not to say about the funnky transmission that some others experienced. I totally lost faith.
Weakness:
Insanely expensive to repair if not covered by warranty. Is honda good car? See "similar products used" below for comparison. Definitely overrated for unknown reasons. Your Honda will show astonishing value when it's in your dealership's hand for repair. One day I couldn't get my car started and had it towed to the dealership (Lehigh Valley Honda). They told me wire was chewed up by small animal and total cost of replacement would be $1,100 (not typo). What wire will cost a grand to replace? Gold plated? Luckly my insurance company stood up to cover most of them. I thought problem was over, but NO. Today when I was driving back from work, engine check light came on. You probably can't believe that the odometer just went over 15K miles. Now I guess the car is gonna go back to the dealership again and stay there for the next few days. I don't know what kind of diagnosis this time the Lehigh Valley Honda will come up. Similar Products Used: Toyota Corolla 91 auto. Served me 3 years with zero problem. Gave it to Dad about 2 years ago and still running like a charm. I missed it so much. Honda civic 92. Fuel pump replacemet costed $400. H |

Honda Accord EX-L
Strength:
Fit and finish, high quality everything, silky smooth transmission, dual zone climate control, great stereo, and incredible ride quality.
Weakness:
None so far. A bit nervous, as this is the first Accord we've had that has not been built in japan, so we'll see. Had this car for 2 weeks now, and I just keep getting more impressed every time I slip in behind the wheel. This is our 4th! accord. We've loved every one, but this feels more like an entry level luxury car (very much like an Acura TL). I don't know how they've managed to do this while keeping the price down, but once again it's honda leading the way. Similar Products Used: '94 Accord. Strength:
Aerodynamic. Fast(with the VTEC.) Good handling.
Weakness:
Slow with stock engine. Front wheel drive. Sticky stock clutch. The accord that I bought is a 1994 5-speed (manual)2dr Accord LX. It came stock with a 2.3 litre inline-4 engine. It was quick in first gear and in all the others gears when they get over 3000 RPM's. I just dropped in a B18BA1 VTEC from an Integra Type R in it, and it flys now. If you are looking for speed i wouldnt go with an Accord, but if you drop in a VTEC, you can go fast. Drop in a cold air intake and a universal muffler and you got over 200hp. Accord 4dr EX-L
Strength:
Fit/finish, powerful engines, super slick transmission, lots of room, very quiet, long list of features.
Weakness:
No full size spare, roadside assistance costs extra, hard to judge rear end of car, trunk slopes too low without lid lip. Drove a lot of cars in this category, finally deciding on the Accord. Very happy with my decision thus far. Originally had an Audi A4 on order, very nice car but, for a price difference of almost $10000, a no brainer. The Accord is more comfortabe and quieter than the Audi, Altima, Camry, pretty much any domestic. The ride quality and comfort equals that of a MB 240 series, again $10000 less... What was once considered, a working mens car, can now easily be considered as a mid size luxury sedan. Power seats, heated seats, heated mirrors, dual climate control, high quality leather on and on... should win car of the year hands down Similar Products Used: Altima, Camry, Audi A4, G35, MB 240 Classic |

Strength:
New car smell.
Weakness:
Poor transmission, Sporadic steering, noisy, very poor build quality. At first the car seemed great but then things started to go wrong. With only 58,000 Km's we are on out 3rd (yes third) transmision. Also several dash lights gone and steering is always off and needs adjustment. So much for Honda reliability and the servics has been nothing short of the worst experienced in my life. They left my wife with our 1 month old baby waiting for 2 hours to get a courtesy car that we had booked 3 weeks in advance. Similar Products Used: Toyota (will go back to) and Volkswagen. |

Strength:
Handles well, visibility, controls are easy to locate, moonroof, plenty of space
Weakness:
the cupholders are kinda in a hard to reach place, but that's not a biggy I traded in a Dodge Neon, and boy what a difference! I hated that car, love this one. The brakes don't sqeak like the neon, and it drives SO much better. My gas cover won't open without holding the button down, but the dealer is fixing that this weekend. Weakness:
My gas gauge was messed up at first. It said i was on empty but it filled up with 12 gallons. This car has a 17 gallon tank. But it has been fixed by the good people at Honda. Wow. Thats all i have to say. This is my first new car and I cant say enough good things about it. I got it the first week it came out and im still amazed at the price I got. The Camry and the Altima people wanted at least 350 for a similar model and they still dont have half the features. I got it for 299 a month for 39 months with 0 down. Sunroof, power everything, kicking sound system all make it worthwhile for the younger crowd, which is what honda was targeting when designing the new model. I have the 4 cylinder model, but it still has plenty of pop to it. Gas Mileage is excellant. The interior of the car is incredible, beating out the camry and totaly destroying the Altima which has cheap plastic everywhere. The car looks incredible. I cant tell you all how many stares i get when at a stop light or passing a crowd of people. Similar Products Used: 2003 Camry, 2003 Altima |
