Strength:

Fuel efficient, decent acceleration. Looks slick when lowered 2 inches with a body kit and nice tinted windows.

Weakness:

Creaks and brake squeaking. Also the sunroof makes squeaking noise because it needs some kind of lubrication around the edges.

The car is amazingly reliable. Have driven it for 4 years, through hard-core Canadian winters. Never ever will I go American. I was caught in one of the worst snowstorms in southern Alberta. Drove around 650-700km on one tank of gas and not to mention all the SUVs that were in the ditches because of all the snow. I made it through careful driving. Honda, please sell your cars with less wheel gap. It looks ugly like that. BMW figured that part out.

Best Accord Ever! I love the power and handling of the Accord. Tires easily spin all the way into 2nd gear.... amazing for a 4 cyl. It also amazes me that the fuel economy is so high (last fill up = 32mpg).

Strength:

Powertrain: 240 HP V6 is sweet. 5 speed transmission is flawless. Handling: really fun car to drive. Honda reliability: there's a reason you didn't buy a Ford. .

Weakness:

Could use: illumintaed controls on the steering wheel, stability control as an option, but really, these are quibbles, a great, great car. .

Really, why pay more. There is a reason this car wisn every sedan comparison with anything in its price range: it's a great car. I'm coming off a BMW 325i, and my new Accord is a much, much better car. If you are not hung up about what badge is on the front of your car, drive the Accord before purchasing your next sedan. Couldn't be happier with this car. Do your research on Edmunds/Edmunds town hall for what people in your region are paying! As of 4/03, an RX V6 is going for many hundreds under dealer "invoice", i.e., dealers are going well into their 3% hold back. Purchased @ Honda of Annapolis, MD. Honda of Annapolis was very easy to work with. Their internet sales manager is Baron Ringler, (410) 267-7100. Totally no hassle, in and out in 1.5 hours (they also beat my local credit union on the financing by over a quarter point). HOA even had a junior salesman drive my former car 45 mins back home with a shag boy trailing the two of us in a used Accord they had on the lot so my wife didn't have to drop me off at the dealership. Great buying experience.

Strength:

Size, fuel economy, sporty with 5 speed, good looks.

Weakness:

Car just doesn't feel like it's well put together compared to the Camry.

Where do I start. This car feels cheap and with very poor build quality. I had driven a '96 V-6 Camry for 5 years and the overall feel of the Camry is far superior than that of the Accord. I've got the LX with a 5 speed and it still feels under powered. Grant you my Camry had 194 HP with 209 lbs/ft of torque but I would expect something a little better from Honda. This car rides harder, the doors don't close with the same quality thunk as the Camry. I could go on but there really is no point. Bottom line is that Honda will always try and play catch up to Toyota when it comes to building a real quality product. Hondas may be good but Toyotas are much better. (At least when it comes to mid-size sedans)I had owned to Accords prior to this ('89,'90) and both those cars seemed to be better built than this one.

Strength:

Tight. Sometimes doors don't close right away because it is so tight. It is deceptively powerful, roomy, dual zone heating is super, very good sound system, and the navi is spectacular.

Weakness:

no heated outside mirrors, bad move Honda we need 'em in Minnesota. Needs a 6 or 8 way passenger side power seat instead of 4.

I have the V6 loaded (navi system, too) 2003 Accord Sedan. Wow! I have always driven luxury or near luxury cars, the latest having been a 2000 Acura TL. None of them compare to the Accord. Speaking only as normal drivers and not as a performance critics, we have found the Accord to be very quiet, extremely comfortable (wow, those seats), powerful and economical. It is better than the Acura in every way and costs a lot less. Thank you Honda!

Strength:

Nice performance, decent audio system (except for placement of on/off/volume control knob). Nice LED dash display.

Weakness:

Saddle interior hard to clean. Small oil leak that dealership can't find. Anti-lock brake system too sensitive (locks up when just braking to turn into a parking space!) Doors should lock automatically when shift lever placed into "Drive".

Basically a nice car, but many changes needed: put radio control knob back with radio unit (instead of with A/C Heat controls). Put door lock switch back near door handle, instead of near window switches. Keyless remote should be a separate unit, not integrated with key (makes key too large, mucho expensive to replace!) Center console/armrest moves back and forth too easily.

Strength:

Reliability- what else? Everything always works. Smmoth 4-cylinder. Great ergonomics- everything is in easy reach and feels "right"

Weakness:

Weak engine.

While not a stellar vehicle, just about everything about the car simply works- and works well. All switches and button have a quality feel if not plush. The knobs have just enough resistance to offer tactile feedback w/o having to take your eyes off the road. Seating comfort is entirely subjective. I happen to be happy with the cloth seats' comfort level (5' 6", 170lbs.) Accords have always been just a bit under powered. But this has more to do with value. They have lots of value built in. Especially when the engine has never stalled, hiccupped, or misbehaved in nearly four years of use. It has just enough creature comforts in the base model so that you don't feel like a second class citizen. Honda's just give you that overall pleasant car owner feeling.

Honda reliability Looks sharp For a family car it moves out pretty good with the stick shift Nice interior

Weakness:

None

What a great car. I bought it with 139,000 miles on it. I put 16,000 miles on it since I bought it and had no trouble other than a rear wheel speed sensor for the ABS and the exhaust rotted off. Typical Ohio tho! I am an ASE certified master tech, and i must say...for the money Honda is the best thing you can buy.
