Strength:

Lots of features on the EX You can drive it forever Feels like a higher end vehicle

Weakness:

the wheels and black strip on bottom of the LX.

I traded in a 03 2 dr Accord LX for a 03 4 dr EX. I just wanted more room. I love it! The four door has leather that the 2 dr didn't. It is quiet, smooth, roomy, and an overall great value. I will never own another type of car.

Strength:

Reliable

Weakness:

Not enough power to drive over the hills everyday.

This is my 3rd Honda and it's very reliable. My girlfriend bought new new and she hand me down this Accord. Previously, I drove 97 BMW M3 sold it (went back to school) and before that I drove 95 Prelude VTEC. This accord has been very reliable with 167,000 miles and still runnning strong. I do plan to get new 2004 Honda Accord EX V6 but saving up for good lump sump down payment. My 93 Accord gave me 3 problems in the past (Igition module, Main Relay, and oil leak after replacing timing belt but now all fixed) it's been pleasing driving this car. I do recommend Honda over BMW's since 5 speed automatic transmission is now stardard on EX for much cheaper than our 328I or M3. I highly recommend everyone getting there Honda's 3000 Miles oil change with OEM oil filters do not use cheap brand like FRAM's.

Strength:

Peppy and quiet 4 cylinder. Smoothe shifting A/T, Comfortable and quiet, handles and rides like a more expensive car than it is. Logical instrument layout. Great CD and Radio. Audio and cruise controls on the steering wheel. Fit and finish excellent. One minor factory defect a scratched interior piece. Bought at 3% over invoice. Best deal I ever got on an Accord.

Weakness:

Controls on steering wheel not lit. Ash tray and lighter and option.

My third Accord and the very best!

Strength:

Nice paint job.

Weakness:

Unreliable, can't get out of its own way when it does run, CD player skips, shifts poorly.

I bought this thinking it was a good car. Consumer Reports, Car & Driver both said so... they lied. This car sucks. I hate it. Electrical gremlins out the kazoo which Honda mysteriously cannot find. Why is it that the car will just stop running on me but they think it is perfect?

Strength:

Great seats, stereo, and wonderful acceleration (V6). Best overall car for the cost.

Weakness:

see summary. I must of got the lemon. Customer service at dealership.

Contract stated 29 miles, had 121 on odometer! Rattle began first night and continues everyday, yet dealer says no rattle can be heard. Starting problems, window leak and therefor staining on roof, and disgusting window tint, multiple scuffs on interior and scratches on exterior. I should have not accepted the car. Gave Honda the benefit of the doubt and paid for it. Avoid service department at all costs. Beyond horrible service. I got a lemon. I know overall Honda is great, but I got the bad one. Great car except for the above.

Strength:

Can cook rice on charred remains

Weakness:

Lights on fire spontaneously. CD player skipped, no torque, and uncomfortable seats.

This vehicle started out as the best car 've ever owned. It's Japanese, so it must be good, or so I thought. On the other hand, I forgot about their seemingly inherent wiring grollies. Thinks were going great until the car spontaneously combusted in front of my house. The fire fighters asked me "are you sure it wasn't a Kia?". I said no. The worst part about the fire, you ask? I had left my cell phone and a few McDonalds game pieces in the center console.

Model Reviewed: Accord Sedan LX

Strength:

Best value point is the LX. Build quality on par with Acura at a sub $20k price. The reason I say the LX is tops is because this is the first year that things like ABS, keyless entry, great 6-speaker sound, floormats, and the top-level 4-cyl VTEC engine are ALL STANDARD FEATURES at the moderate LX price point. Silky 5-speed automatic. Styling has verve. Comfortable seating. Gagues on par with Lexus LS 400. Highway cruising is almost too easy.

Weakness:

Gas mileage in the city is a little disappointing, but may be my fault as I'm still having fun driving a little hard. No steering wheel control illumination.

I drove my 1993 Civic LX for 10 years, and after 240,000 miles of reliable service I was up for a new car. I was first shopping for a new Civic, and liked its test-drive and the car's interior but didn't like the exterior styling much. So I thought for fun, I'd test-drive an Accord. I was hooked from the second I turned the key. The instrumentation is TOPS. Some don't like the large speedo, but it's great for getting a quick read and putting your eyes back on the road where they belong. The factory CD/stereo is GREAT. I love that I can put all the windows down from the key-integrated remote, and roll all the windows up without getting in the car. Performance from the iVTEC 4cyl is amazingly perky and smooth for a 33/mpg car. I have previously HATED Honda automatics b/c they upshift so hard, but this new 5-speed automatic is tops. You rarely know it shifts, although downshifts are a little delayed to make them so smooth. The interior is perfect (in ivory). The seating is comfortable. My only gripe has been with the window tint that the dealer had installed, but it carries a lifetime warranty and they have comitted to correcting the small defects I have found. Also, HONDA FINANCE STINKS. They wouldn't finance me at ALL, but the credit union at the Air Force Base where I work financed the full price at only 4.5%. Go figure.

Strength:

Good accelleration for a 4 Nice interior and exterior styling Roomy Respectable handling Great value for the money

Weakness:

Some rattles on rough pavement. Cheap factory speakers (though sound system sounds great) - I've already blown the left rear speaker Lack of "wow" factor.

This is my first Honda, though 3rd new Japanese (by name, not country of build) car. Overall, I'm very pleased with it. Nice accelleration from a 4, nice ride, roomy, nice build quality. My only complaint so far is that I don't wake up thinking "Wow, I own an Accord!" My most recent car was a 1995 Infiniti G20t. Excellent car overall, never one rattle in 7 years of reliable service, though extremely lacking in accelleration. The Accord just doesn't give me the same feeling as I got with the G20, thought it's still a fantastic car. Perhaps I need car therapy??? Anyway, I do like my Accord, I just don't love it. If you're looking for a reliable, loyal and friendly car, look no further, but if you're looking for some soul, well...

My first Honda...not overly impressed. I'm having a very strange problem and was wondering if anyone else has had it. (It goes to the shop on Saturday and they think I'm crazy!) Since owning the car, I have found three windows down about two inches after returning to the car. (Coming out from work or shopping.) This has happened at least six times. And no, I didn't leave the windows down. I seldom put them down since I use the air conditioner. They say it's impossible without the engine on. Someone suggested it might be the rollers. Also having problems with the CD player. My nephew has the same car and he just had to have his CD player replaced when it wouldn't eject his CDs. Responses would be appreciated.
