Strength:

Good power for a 2.4 litre engine. Good sound system. Solid car - no rattles. Comfortable to ride in for long trips. I won't buy domestic again.

Weakness:

Gas milage is okay, but not as good as I thought I would get. Some of the finishing touches are poor - rubber moulding around sun roof not flush.

I bought the car new and I really like this car. I haven't got the gas milage it is rated to get. I have been getting about 22-26 mpg in town and 36 mpg on the highway. On a perfect day I got 41 mpg on the highway (flat road). There are some minor finishing flaws, but nothing serious. I have had no problems with the engine or drive train. Above average power for the 2.4 litre engine. Comfortable to drive, and good sound system (six speakers). Road noise is a little loud, but not too bad.

I recomend, I recomend, I recomend. I owned this vehicle for 4 years and it never let me down. Until some idiot got me in the rear. I would never consider selling it, trading it, selling it. It was a great car. Now I can not get over, I don't have it anymore. And I am buying another Honda. That is the only way I see it go.. Heartbroken.....

Strength:

Reliable, Great handling, good power for a 4 cylinder.

Weakness:

Very Plain looks. A very common vehicle, but then again i didn't buy it for the looks I bought it for Honda's reputation.

Great no frills reliable and dependable car. Of course you can upgrade to some frills if you wish. I have had this car for 3 years (64000 miles now). No problems and runs great. I sleep at night knowing my car is totally dependable. Thanks Honda. I have written off all american cars and am a self proclaimed Honda loyalist. :)

It's a groovy looking little coupe that's my preferred body style over the newer 2003. Hey, I'm a girl, it's all about looks, baby. It's got plenty of power and comfort and is a great deal for the price.

Strength:

RELIABILITY, easy to find good mechanics since there are so many hondas on the road.

Weakness:

The coupe (LX and SE) are not as comfortable as the EX.

I have had 2 1991 Accords. Both great cars. This accord has 218,000 miles on it, and I have calculated that it costs me about $47 per month to drive this car (not including gas). Have not had to do any really expensive non-maintenace repairs. I am going to buy another Accord soon and keep this one for my daughter. Also had an 82 Accord that went for over 350,000 miles! BTW--I also have a 97 Chrysler Town & Country. Giant POS. Nothing but problems.

NOT The customer service

Weakness:

Backing there products, and service.

After a couple of months and 3,000 mile of owning this brand new car I noticed an oil leak. Turns out that there were several porus holes in the block. Which the dealer told us was a defect in the casting of the blocks (which is a common problem with the Hondas and Acura V6 blocks). So how do they resolve this problem, no not a new block but they drill and plug them with some kind of puddy. Needless to say that didn't sit well with me. I called the 1-800 customer satisfaction number for assistants. Unfortunatly I got the run around. But after several attempts to plug the porus holes they finally replaced the block, then only to find out that my transmission had a leak as well. Where the transmission and manifold meet. So down came the tranny for repairs. After two weeks of repairs I finally got my vehicle back only to have my the brakes failed. So back in the shop for a new master cylinder which had to be order. After another week in the shop I get to drive my NEW car again. Once again the brakes failed, this time they replaced my whole ABS system. I still have to take in for the Homelink system that seems to work when it feel like it...I know what your thinking LEMON LAW, and yes that's the direction am heading, but you'd think Honda would offer putting me into a new reliable and safer vehicle. Heck I even offered to pay any difference between the 2002 and 2003. Since I purchase my car at the end of the year. Well wish me good luck with the LEMON LAW....

My parents bought this car for me several months ago and it's been very reliable thus far. I really wanted to get a Mazda6...but I'm very happy with my Accord. The acceleration is pretty decent. Good handling and braking. The only problem I have is with the taillights. They're ugly. I wish I got the coupe instead.
