Looks good, good gas mileage

Transmission slips, power windows break, window tint comes off, engine ticks, sensors go out, overdrive light constantly blinks, windows leak, doors don''t set right, automatic antennae doesn''t work, trunk won''t stay open, VERY HIGH REPAIR COSTS AND DIFFICULT TO WORK ON!!!!

This car is a piece of crap. I love the car but have had nothing but problems with it. If it actually ran more than half the time it would be the perfect vehicle. Not only do the little annoying things break, but also the expensive stuff like the transmission goes out. The car doesn''t even have a filter for the transmission fluid.

hmmmm, try to maintain it well. The most common problems on Probes are : Oxygen sensors (change every 60k), timing belt and water pump. Also you may clean the IAC (idle air control)if you have a rough idle. That''s it.

You want the look??? Go get a Probe (especially GT). You want speed?? Try a GT Probe. You will love the handling,cornering etc. If you seeking comfort drive, get a base model (not the GT).

Some people are too closed minded to see beyond the " FORD" emblem but believe me, there is nothing Ford about this car! It feels more like Porsche 911 class than in the Mustang, camero class. That is because Mustang and Camero are muscle cars and the probe is a sports car.

This is the best car I have ever driven. I can''''t believe more people dont know about this car. I did a lot of research before I bought it and it actually was " Consumer''''s choice" on comsumer''''s report magazine!!! This mean that even the experts agree that the Ford Probe is truely one of a kind. Its not at all like a mustang or a Camero. Those are muscle cars which are slow and fall apart. The Ford probe however is a sports car. Its fast, nimble, corners like a dream. This car is EXTREMELY quick from about 5-40 MPH. I bet if you raced another car on the mountain roads which curve, this car would best almost anything. The front wheel drive is made for this. Its would be great in the snow too!

EVERYTHING you could ever want in a sports car. More Fun to drive than $60,000 sports car at a fraction of the price.

It has the name FORD on it which does not give it snob appear but the car itself it totally awesome. Drive one and you will understand.

This is by far one of the best cars ever made by Mazda or Ford. Its also one of the most underrated cars. Most people have no idea what a nice car this is. I have never had even 1 single problem with the car EVER! Its feels like a true sports car to drive and since it has front wheel drive, it corners like a cat because its being pulled around a corner rather than pushed. I also own 2 BMW and I must say that the Probe is a lot more fun to drive than the BMW even though it does not have the snob appear. This is a great car and I plan to keep it forever.

nothing ive noticed so far

I just got my probe from my neighbor about 2 months ago and i love it! There are no noticable things wrong with it, and its got 85000 miles on it. I was impressed by this! I hope to drive my car for many years to come

Engine Sensors go bad

I used to travel on business and rented a Probe through Hertz a couple of times. I really liked the handling capabilities of this car! When my former car died, the dealer had 3 Probes left. The car is 5 years old now, not much trouble with it, but I am an "easy on the car" driver. This car seems to have a powerful but also touchy engine. I''ve been told that the ONLY reason the car is lasting is that I bought it with less than 20 miles on it and I have been the only driver. Time will tell. Right now I can honestly say it is the MOST enjoyable car I have ever owned and I hope it lasts a few more years.

I just love my car. It comes fully loaded with leather, manual, AC etc... Pretty powerfull, the engine likes to rev all the way to the redline. Very nice styling, people often turn in my direction to look at my car! This was my first brand new car. I kept up on all the normal maintenance. I travel a lot. I must have close to 200,000 miles on it and she''s still running pretty good considering. I''ve never gotten stranded in the snow with it or hydroed in the rain. I think it''s a great first car for someone. It''s gotten me through a lot of tight situations. Unfortunately, they have "special" mazda parts that make maintenance a bit more expensive. For such a small engine, it has great pick up.
