good handling...good throws and cluch...pretty good stock seats..
Weakness:

Strength:
The turbo for sure, lot of umph. The style Not many on the road left (more unique). A good car for the price.
Weakness:
Well i would say most parts on the probe are expensive because of how old it is now, and hardly and aftermarket support. The only thing i can see that i would say on weaknesses are the parking brake cable (really bad with probes for seizing), the Clutch (about 1000 dollars CDN did one already), and the turbo (dont know how much and dont want to know how much :) This car has been good to me for the last 5 years. Very underated for the type of car but still get looks from other people. Had done some upgrades to make it better, new suspension and electrical, Way better handling now. Roomy trunk area and interior but taller friends hate the back seat. The use of the turbo is great for that pick up and go on pretty much any gear. The first Gen probe was way ahead of its time. Too bad it got no respect. Style, power, handling all in one package! |

I picked it up at 200mph on the freeway once and Mohave Desert.
Weakness:
Smoke came out of the engine... Just bough it and the engine was missing I had to go back and clear things out they finally gave me the engine its a (6.4L, 310hp) had to pay $600 for engine. Similar Products Used: My Harley |

It''s fun to showoff in front of people.
Weakness:
It leaks oil. It is the ford I love it''s a 89 ford probe with a 2.2L turbo with a 5speed I have out run two 4.3 S10 and lost it one time at 110mph I give $1600 for it but it is back on the road. |

Strength:
Nice looking car. Fairly reliable.
Weakness:
Bad transmission. Really slow -- off the line and top end. Finally a semi-reliable car made by Ford. Still has its flaws, however. If you have an in-line 4, forget the power. That may sound obvious, but it''s especially true with this car. The GT version has some pick-up, but this car is sloooooow. Also, it is notorious for having a bad auto transmission (I was unfortunate to experience it). Most of them need to be replaced by 80,000 miles...pretty unreliable if you ask me. |

Responsive,powerfull,torquey V6 2.5,superb handling, great looks(babe magnet!), amazing probe community(www.probetalk.com).
Weakness:
cv joints are known to cause problems sometimes.Just replace them with aftermarket ones and you''re set.Apart from that...NONE! This car just rocks!! I get compliments from so many people just on the looks.And when I tell them its a 93, their jaw drops! It handles like a dream! I just drive on the curvy roads for fun.The car is responsive as the torque is available at any rev.The V6 2.5 from Mazda is one hell of an engine. It sounds amazing! Add an aftermarket and the car starts to sound like an italian exotic, and im not joking! I would definately recommend this car to anyone who wants a fun peppy car.Just maintain it well and it''ll last forever.Boy I love this ride! Weakness:
window seals leak at the carwash and during hard rain sometimes. dash rattles. headlights are dim. This is my first car and i love it. i got it with 95 thousand miles and right now it has 104 089 miles. Its small, sporty, good on gas, fast. When i got this car the cooling fan didn''t work $300 to fix, then my c/v joint went bad and the bearings on the front struts, both costed $600 to fix. I have also put new rims on my car from a 89 Ford Probe GT. I hope to buy a 93 or 94 Ford Probe GT this summer or next year. ? Similar Products Used: none |
