BIG TURBO LAG, SMALL REAR SEATING/TRUNK

I JUST BOUGHT MY TALON TSI 4 DAYS AGO FROM A DEALER. THE CAR RUNS AND LOOKS GREAT. IT HAS ALL WHELL DRIVE WHICH IS GOOD FOR HANDLING AND GREAT UP HERE IN COLORADO FOR THE WINTER. THE TURBO IS AMAZING, BUT SEEMS TO MIS-FIRE ITS BOOST IN 2ND GEAR? IT HAS 4 WHEEL DISC BRAKES AND STOPS ON A DIME. I''M SOON GOING TO BE UPGRADING THE EXHAUST AND THE THE BLOW-OFF VAVLE. THE AIR FILTER WILL BE REPLACED WITH A K&N IN THE STOCK AIR BOX. IT IS A DSM MAROON WITH A FADED AND LOOSE REAR SPOLIER, BUT I FIXED THAT BY TIGHTENING THE SCREWS AND GOING OVER IT WITH MOTHERS'' "BACK TO BLACK". ALL IN ALL, I LOVE THIS CAR.

When I saw this car I coulden''t get it off my mind .It was one of the nicest cars I have ever had a remote chance to buy.It always looked good and still does "BUT"thats all it pritty much is .It looks nice but it ratals and the inteareor is falling apart. the paint is spidered and the gadges always say something different .

The engine, the transmission, and anything mechanical related to this car.

This car has been a money pit. Things started going wrong with it almost immediately and all of the repairs were extremely expensive! I have put 4 timing belts on it. The transmission went out, the water pump has been replaced, I put a new thermostat on it, and the car constantly dies when at a stop sign or red light. I have had the car in the garage more than on the road and it is in for repairs once again. I have spent over $6000 on repairs to date, not counting the current repairs. There is little room in the back seat. The only good thing I can say about the car is it looks good on the road. I have almost replaced the entire engine and am still having trouble with the car. This car is a lemon. My advice - DON''T buy one unless you want to throw away a great deal of money.

a slug lack of power low end but pretty good at 3500 rpm. loud valve noise normal for these cars. expensive to maintain.

I bought this car 4 months ago since then all has gone wrong. First my power strering, a/c belt fell off 6 times every time i got it fixed by a chrisler shop. So i bought a new idler pulley to keep it tensioned still fell off once but not in a month so that seems to be fixed. Then my cam sensor when so i fixed that 290$. My trany needs work it is going to cost me 1400$. My heat don''t work anymore, high beams don''t work but the car''s looks are still intact. I think that the looks is what is making me keep it. All these repairs and i''m still keeping the car makes me wonder. I''m also getting a loud valve noise at idle from the engine pretty anoing as well as a crazy rattle that sound like a turbo kicking in from inside at high rpm. Don''t know why but love this car but would never buy a nother. ad-ons aem cool air intake, apexi N1 exaust system. Car reacts well to upgrades.there a possitive.

expensive upkeep, too many problems! pedals stick in the winter.

i have had my car for over 2 years now and i love it! I have a had a few problems though, i bought it used and the guy who had it before me drove the Sh*t out of it and i had to replace the clutch. then my transmission bit the dust and it cost me $4400 to get it re-built. the brakes went and i had to get new tires. and after all of that i still wouldn''t trade it in for anything. and i must say, guys love that i drive this car!

Sharp looking car! Well complimented! Fun to drive! Tough Engines! Awesome breaks-Avoided many accidents, stops immediately. Good in snow.

Not much inside room. Stock stereo junk. Yet with all the good features little room and bad stereo seem like nothing.

My summary = #1 car I have ever driven. The talon is my favorite type of car I LUV this car, my brother has had two of them and after I drove one I knew I just had to have one and from the day I got it home it was a dream come true.
