Strength:

none

Weakness:

pick something... brakes, battery, head gasket, a/c

Never again will I buy a Dodge. This car only has 34,000 miles on it. Under warrenty, it needed a new fuel pump, battery, and various switches. Now, after the warrenty ran out, it needs a head gasket, a/c compressor, back door locks fixed, second set of brakes, and who knows what else. What a piece of junk!!!

Strength:

gas mileage was ok

Weakness:

as mentioned above, what a total piece of crap, better off buying a Lada

Piece of junk. I bought it 2nd hand in 99 with 75K. I had the upgraded (lol)ES, 5 spd 2.0L. Head Gasket went within the 1st 6 months & this wasn't covered with ext warr. Paint chipped & peeled on hood for no reason. Terrible suspension, always felt like I was driving a gravel truck. Couldn't hear passenger speaking if driving over 80 km's/hr. Lots of rattles, numerous repairs. I will never-ever own a Dodge again.

Strength:

ROOMY, NICE GET UP AND GO.

Weakness:

ENGINE, BRAKES, PAINT FLAKING, LIGHTS ON DASH OUT, SUN ROOF LINING FALLING, ETC. ETC. ETC.

THIS CAR HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT TROUBLE. BRAKES FAILED, ENGINE LEAKS OIL, AND MINOR PROBLEMS WITH DASH LIGHTS. IN THE FIRST YEAR ALONE, I HAD OVER 7 PAGES OF SERVICE RECORDS. I HAVE HAD THE CAR ALMOST 5 YEARS AND NOW IT IS IN THE SHOP WITH ENGINE PROBLEMS. I WILL NEVER BUY DODGE AGAIN, AND I GET GREEN SHEET PRICING!

Strength:

This car is quite roomy, gets good gas mileage and handles well.

Weakness:

There are too many to list!! I didn't buy this car, my dad bought it for me and after all I've been through with this car I will NEVER buy another Dodge! If I had known I would be going through constant repairs I would've taken it back to the dealer IMMEDIATELY.

This car only has 69,500 miles. This car has been in the shop more than I have driven it! Fortunately I bought an extended warranty but I have paid several thousand dollars out my own pocket for items that were not covered by the warranty. I have had the oil changed every 3,000 miles and maintained this car like it was my second child. After having it for less than 2 weeks the transmission started leaking and has leaked every winter after that. I just had a new transmission put in, several brake jobs, water pump, timing belts, pcv valves, distributor caps/rotors, spark plugs, and several different oil leaks.

Strength:

It doesn't use a lot of gas and steers really well. The cost was okay.

Weakness:

The a/c compressor had to be replaced after 2 1/2 years, many oil leaks and head gasket problems. Peeling paint on roof of car. The problems seem to be accumulating as it gets older.

I loved this car when I first got it. Still like it though it has a lot of problems. It is in the shop now for the head gasket and is costing aroudn 1,300 to fix.

Strength:

Nice power, drives smooth, the ETS system is great in snow/ice, everything works by a push of a button, love how you can change the radio/CD, volume, etc...by the buttons on my steering wheel. Seats are very comfortable

Weakness:

Not the greatest on gas, needs a bigger trunk

I am really happy with this car. I put about 23,000 miles on a car every year and so far this car has paid off. I have changed the oil and had it serviced every 3,000 miles (faithfully) and I have had no problems whatsoever!!! I have had some really bad cars and this was my first BIG purchase with the payments along with it.

Strength:

I don't think there are any strengths

Weakness:

ty rods, wheel bearings, hubs, brake failure (going on set number three) heating display burned out, fog light mechanisms, sunroof mechanisms, oil transfer switch, window mechanisms, turnsignals, paint is bubbling and peeling, now rusting. Now at 50,000 miles, my car won't start.

I lease this car at $420 a month. I thought it was a great car, until weeks after the purchase

Strength:

Car cornered quite well for a sedan. Steering was responsive. Acceleration from the 2.4L pretty good.

Weakness:

A/C compressor died after only a couple of years. Radio/cassette failed shortly after that. Road noise was almost unbearable at times. Engine vibration at idle totally unbearable. This car gave new meaning to the words "rattle trap". Worst car I ever owned -- by far.

Bought new and traded in when it had 38,000 miles. Frequent air conditioning problems. After about the 30,000 mile mark, the 2.4L four cylinder engine would vibrate quite violently at idle. It was worst with the A/C on. The vibration made the steering wheel jump up and down about 1/2" (no exaggeration). It made the teeth in my head rattle. Took to the dealer. They said that this was a common problem on the '95 and '96 models equipped with the 2.4L engine, and that there was no way to fix it. Isn't that nice?? I got a lot of warm fuzzies hearing that from the dealer. We traded it in a few months later on a very nice used '97 Camry.
