Nice interior, good stereo, big trunk, nice color.
Weakness:
Bad break system (already replaced- cost $600.00) Transmission slipping, transmission computer brain box went out 3 months ago- cost $360.00, air went out last summer, had it 6 months before this happened, motor really loud. The car was nice when I first purchased it used. The car had 54,000 miles. The interior is roomy, and there is plenty of trunk space. The radio jams. Dodge Stratus R/T
Strength:
Everything and Anything, I finally found a car where I am happy with it, as it is!
Weakness:
My boyfriend''s Thunderbird has the Automatic lights that go on when it goes dark, but oh well, my car is still nicer than the Thunder"turd" I love this car! All I wanted to do is get an American car, because I''ve always had Foreign 4 Cylinders, and this car is beautiful. I couldn''t be more happier! Thank you, Dodge! Strength:
Sharp Looking especially in black with the chrome factory wheels and leather interior ( which I have ) AutoStick tranny is a great bonus. Double wishbone suspension (from the Eclipse?)is an absolute dream. I Love This Car!
Weakness:
Not an R/T, but on the other hand the ES is darn close and 3G''s less. A real nice car. I have had it now for about 9 months and it has performed flawlessly. Absolutly no problems what so ever with this car. It''s handling is superb, braking is right on ( the 2001 & newer have the R/T brakes, I understand ) and acceleration with the 2.7 DOHC is more than adequate. This engine accelerates very smoothly up to RedLine. Similar Products Used: My first Dodge since 1971. |

The car seems to have alot of power! I''ve owened gt mustangs that didn''t run as fast as this stratus! It has the 2.5 v6
Weakness:
The car has 163,000 miles on it. It''s highway miles I belive. The car runs to good to have been dogged. I bought the car and with in 3 month''s the transmission went out,Then the car''s engine light came on and we had to do a tuneup but other than that the car seems to be fine. Dodge Stratus R/T Coupe
Strength:
Not too many people have the R/T model, the engine, the sound system, the wheels(polished), handling, paint (dark titanium metallic), the body shape, and on and on!!!!!!!!! Thank god that there aren''t too many on the road.
Weakness:
I wish it had automatic temperature control. But, this is very minor!! A great looking car that turns heads everywhere I go. The engine is good and powerful, and the sound system goes along with the overrall appeal of the car. Similar Products Used: None really, but I just raced a Mustang GT and he didn''t get away from me!! Curvy road helped a lot. |

Stratus
Strength:
Between head gasket problems and electrical fire, I really liked the car and its apprearance. Very few minor maintenance problems in between major ones. If can avoid major set-backs, appears to be a depenable car for everyday use.
Weakness:
Head gasket and electrical shortage. Rear vision is limited as well. Fairly dependable until Christmas Day 2001 when it exploded due to an electrical fire started under the hood. Not sure of exact cause as of yet. Also, as mentioned in previous review, had to replace head gasket a while back. Seems like a recurring problem in this make and model. Similar Products Used: None |

Stratus
Strength:
Slick styling. Easy handling. Good mpg. Very roomy interior for a small looking car.
Weakness:
Brake rotors too small on the 99 Stratus. They warp out to quickly. This problem was apparenly rectified on the 2000 models. (they added an inch to the rotor size) I''ve really enjoyed this car. Put around 70 miles a day on it and havn''t really had any problems with it. It had 12000 on it when I bought it. There was a problems with brake rotors being warped. Dealer replaces front rotors and machined rear drums. It''s a cool looking car and handles really great. Very easy to drive. Averaging 30 mpg. Similar Products Used: Taurus, Hyuntai Elantra |

Stratus R/T
Strength:
Ride, handling esp around exit ramps, sleek looks, Performance
Weakness:
Drivers door window hangs up and door doesnt close right half the time, Rear window has to be reinstalled squeaks and ralltes, why didnt they put in a switch to turn on the interior lights? Radio could be better sounding, Pontiac premium system has Dodge beat. For the Price a spoiler should be included. Makes car look even sharper. Despite all these problems I would still buy it really fun to drive, Just have to work the bugs out This car is a real head turner. I test drove a few cars. Once I test drove Stratus I didnt hesitate to trade in my 98 Grand Prix GT. Handles awsome and cant ask for better pick up speed out of a 6 cyl. The quick shifter is nice too.
