SO MANY IT HARD TO LIST THEM ALL.

WORST CAR I EVER PURCHASED IN MY LIFE. I UNDERSTAND NOW WHY PEOPLE BUY FOREIGN MADE CARS. SOMEBODY REALLY SHOULD GRAB IT BY THE HORNS. I HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME GREIF AS THE OTHERS WITH THE BRAKES. AND NOW MY TRANSMISSION IS GONE. MY WARRANTY EXPIRED BECAUSE OF A STUPID CLAUSE THAT THE DEALER FAILED TO INFORM ME ON. DAIMLER-CHRYSLER WANTS TO ESTABLISH A LOCATION HERE IN ATLANTA. I THINK THEY SHOULD BUILD IT RIGHT IN THE LANDFILL, SINCE IT IS TRASH. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANY KIND OF DODGE, CHRYSLER, PLYMOUTH ETC. I WISH THEY WOULDN'T SEND ANY KIND OF CAR ADS TO MY HOME. WOULDN'T RECOMMEND ANYONE TO BUY THE CAR.

Since my last review (approx. 6 months) I've had to replace my brake pads and rotors at 30,000 miles. I don't have a problem with this. The problem I have is that the Stratus has special brake pads that only Dodge can replace ($250 for the pads only). These pads are so hard that every time you have to replace the pads, you also have to replace the rotors because they are so worn down. The dealership failed to mention this. Also, the other day I started my car and it took forever to turn over. Once it did, the engine started bucking when RPM's reached 2,000. Anyway, they replaced the cam sensor (whatever that is) and it's working fine now, but I will be so glad to get rid of this car. Hopefully I'll be rid of it in a few weeks. I hate to say it but I'm going Japanese with a Nissan Pathfinder.

I have to tell my friends that own Cadillacs, Toyotas and Hondas that I bought a Dodge!

I'm sorry to hear of the troubles some have had with these cars. My '02 is pushing 30,000 miles and has been flawless. It runs so smooth and quiet that I have twice re-started it while it was running. Body and suspension as tight as a drum, handling and braking is excellent! Overall build quality appears almost on par with Japanese. Not a screamer on power nor great gas milage, but adequate. I went to Advantage car rental where they use '01 and '02 Stratus' as fleet cars. These have over 50,000 very hard miles on them (let's face it, even I have pleasure in beating the hell out of a rental!) and they all are as tight and quiet as mine, so I know mine's not a fluke. The manager there said they never had to have a stratus towed, but the Fords and Chevys have to be towed back in all the time. I know it's just a Dodge, but I'm impressed and would buy another.

Great car, absolutly no problems other than maintinance. Dealership was very shady as they alter the paper work and warranty to suite their needs. Great car very fast and powerful especially for a four cyclinder. Will definatly purchase another. Only complaint is the dealership but they have nothning to do with the product they just sell it.

Reliable, Handles very well, not alot of money into it

I can't say a bad word about it

I love the car. I haven't put alot of money into it. My wife drives it everyday and she drives 45 minutes one way to work and we haven't been stranded yet. We well maintain it. Also in Maine we have nasty winters, it never not started, and it handles well

steering column replaced at 15,000 miles. steering fluid resevior at 20,000 miles. god knows what's next.... NOISY when stopped. sounds like will die when idle. constant rattle noises from engine. interior too easily ruined. friends will laugh at your stupidity for buying a dodge in the first place.

this car has given me total grief since day one! at only 15,000 miles, i needed a new steering column. at 20,000 miles i needed a new steering fluid holder thing. still, every two weeks i must put a new bottle of steering fluid in or i sound like i am scraping metal to metal every time i turn the freaking wheel. it has a very rough idle and sounds like a stupid diesel when it's in park! sure, it looks great and sporty, but looks aren't everything when you are spending this much money. to add to my grief, the brake light bulbs constantly blow out. this is the loudest and junkiest piece of SH*T i have every driven in my life! you could floor the gas pedal and only creep across the road. the paint is already fading away and no longer has a glossy shine. the seats don't hold up well to pressure, the fabric is already tearing apart. the dash scratches too easily. i wiped down my car with armor all and to my surprise, some of the god foresaken dash rubbed away! the dodge finance people hassle me every other day if i am even one week late on a payment. i can not wait to trade it in on another car. this car is nothing but trouble and the stratus line needs to be put to rest in car heaven (or maybe hell, for the trouble it put me through). sometimes, i have fantasies of driving it into a tree and putting it out of it's misery!

man this car is crazy! i dont know what the hell is wrong with this car now, i had a tune up, my distributor cap and rotor replaced, and my fuel injectors thoroughly cleaned and my check engine still keeps coming on with the same damn reason, cylinder misfire. the dealerships are complete idiots. i bought this damn car in may! well i do love it though even though it has its faults. i llike the autostick since i don't have the coordination for a real stick. other than that i will never get a dodge again.

Roomy, Peppy 2.4 liter engine> I got great gas mileage until AC is on. Sporty look, not garage kept> paint has held.

Rattle at start up from day 1 > loose heat shield.Loud engine .Idled rough from start. Brakes squeeked from day 1

I guess I'm lucky. Repairs have been minor, nearly 6 yrs old>bought 1/1/97. Presently 69,000 miles. Major repairs were oxygen sensors @ 50,000 mi, (400.00). And major brake work $400.00 > now guarenteed life car. I find Midas is very reasonable compared to Dodge dealers. When i bought the car I paid far more in interest through Dodge ,so I felt I was not being dealt with in an upfront manor. I was asked how much did Iwant to pay and thats what I paid "PLUS" alot of interest. That was my fault , stupid consumer should have read the contract.

Our previous car was a neon and i loved that but the stratus is amazing. You never realize how much you missed leg room until you get a car with alot of it.I got the leather package and its spectaular the ride is smooth, the engine is silent when its on and the infinity speakers and amp that come stock are the best. I've added 2 12inch subs and amps and recomend that to everyone. if you thought it sounded good now wait until you add the subs. All around I miss my neon but I love the Stratus even more. The dash is nice looking also.
