Strength:
The major strength I have found (believe me, I had to search) was the ac. The coldness of it will blow you away. It can be 105 outside and it will cool you off in no time. Spacious room for a 2Dr
Weakness:
Do I need to list those again??? Overall, I will never stoop to anything lower than a Toyota, Honda, or Nissan. We had never bought anything but Toyota, never ever had to repair anything, and thought we would try something new. Definately regreted it. I believe the Chrysler/Dodge company is a poor excuse for a company. Don't care about the customers only care about the money they're pocketing. I was being young and ignorant, all I cared about was the looks. It's purple, which is my fav color. I bought the car at 29K and have had nothing but problems with it. I had less problems when I owned an 88 mercury tracer, which I thought was a piece of crap until I bought this. Replacements: Motor mount @ 50K, it needs replaced again, it now has 63K. Brakes have squeaked nonstop. Took it in, they needed cleaned, started squeaking 2 month later, and because I thought they just needed cleaned again, I let it go for 4 months. The whole break system needed replaced at 55K. Replaced EGR valve @ 45K, which I hear is popular. Right now, my oil pan gasket needs replaced, which from what I have been told will lead to the head gasket blowing. (what a suprise:) Had to replace the battery when it didn't need it at all and wasn't run down. Shocks need replaced. If you go over a slight bump, it sounds like you're running over the world's largest cow. Suspension is awful. Weirdest thing: only when it rains, my whole car rattles like no other. The timing belt needs replaced. All of this with only 63K. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS CAR TO ANYONE!!! If you'll notice all the people that just "loved the car" have barely had it even a year, or it's brand new. YOU WILL SOON FIND OUT WHAT A PIECE OF **** YOU'VE BOUGHT!!! Dodge Neon
Strength:
Great highway mileage. Decent city mileage. Still in great shape, rarely needs maintenance. Lots of room inside.
Weakness:
It is a little car and doesn't get much power, especially if the A/C is on or if there is a load in the car. My brakes squeal in the morning, mostly after it has rained. The passenger side window occasionally gets wind through it when it's closed. Leaking head gasket will need to be replaced soon. I bought this car used from a friend of the family when it was 5 years old. It is now about 7 years old with nearly 95,000 miles and still running like new. I take good care of the car because I want it to last a few years more, and I believe it will. I have had mostly minor problems. The major problems were a leaking head gasket, broken struts (too many potholes around here), a rusted drum shoe (after I drove through a huge puddle), and a tempermental A/C. Altogether, this is an excellent vehicle which has never failed to get me where I'm going. Similar Products Used: 1983 Buick LeSaber |

NEON
Strength:
The Tires are still round, and the lights work.(last time I checked... knock on wood)oh yea, decent trunk space!
Weakness:
Poor Performance, Horrible wiring and electrical work, radio won't work if it gets to hot outside. A/C doesn't work due to electrical problems. Paint? What paint? that stuff usually sticks to the car right? Thinking of buying a Neon? DONT! Severe electrical problems, chipped paint, and nowhere will anyone from Dodge stand behind any problems with this pile of metal... (or Plastic) Similar Products Used: Buick Lesabre |

It can really drain you of your money fast.
Weakness:
Do you need a list? This car is just a piece of crap. First a Head Gasket and now the Transmission. The car doesn't even have 40,000 miles on it yet! |

Strength:
great handling, very fast, good sound system,A/C,stylish looks, cab forward design gives better headroom than competition.
Weakness:
Poor visibility in reverse, fan relay&head gasket problems, seats don't slide back far enough, sluggish on the draw, could get better MPG. Great car,no problems.Excellent on the highway. My friend has a 2001 Mustang conv/v6 and the Neon can blow past it on the road.I've never had a problem with squealing brakes on this one, although on my previous '95 Neon,it was annoying.Every make and model of car can have its faults, some obvious(every 3rd late model Cavalier/Sunfire with its broken wipers stuck in the middle of the windshield)or not so obvious(faulty head gaskets). Strength:
looks when modified out.
Weakness:
breaks and head gasket I overall have felt my neon as a good car. I have had it a year my self and put about 20,000 miles on it. I have had minor problems such as breaks(been through 3 sets in a year) and now today my o2 sensor went out. but thanks to obd from plymoth i diagnosed that my self. and saved my self 60$ its never stalled on me. or cost me alot of money. Right before i got it from my parents ofcourse the head gasket went out ( neons are notorious for that) but over all its a fun care to drive and my looks awsome i have dont a lot of mods to it and it only gets stronger |

Weakness:
brakes sqeak consantly radio too many to list, All you have to know is that you shouldn't make the same mistake we did, trust me. After reading all the negative reviews about this car I couldn't help but join in the bashing. What a piece of CRAP!!! This car has had more problems then any other car that I have driven before. First, the head gasket leaks ,then the A/C goes, next the transmission explodes while 100kms from home, the car sounds like a tank on the highway thats if you can hear the engine over the wind noise coming from the passenger window that can't shut properly. The list goes on and on. I highly DO NOT recommend this car to anybody.I can't believe Crysler sells such a poor excuse for a car. BUY JAPANESE OR EUROPEAN !
