Everthing about it!!!!!!

This car is a major disappointment, I don't recommend it to anyone. Not long after I purchased it the interior door knobs started peeling, I had them replaced and they peeled, the warranty ran out before I could have them replaced again. Recently all four hub caps have started peeling, the interior driver side sun visor has unraveled. This morning the transmission has decided that it doesn't wanted to work. I have purchased better used cars. I chose a new car so I wouldn't have to worry about anything what a mistake that was. Don't buy this car the risk of having problems are to high.

Cupholder

I purchased my Daewoo in September of 1999. I have had ok luck with it until it was time to change the timing belt. The timing belt is required to be changed at 60,000 miles. I ordered the timing belt over 6 weeks ago, way before the 60,000 miles. My timing belt went out and caused extensive damage to all 8 valves and the head. I now own a car that I am still paying for that I can not get parts for. The valves and belt are on a "national back order" I can hardly believe that I am alone regarding this matter. I regret to the fullest of ever purchasing this vehicle.

Strength:

-While frequently categorized as a small car, the Nubira has more room than my an Acura 1.6EL (sorry folks south of the border, this vehicle is only sold in Canada)I am driving. -I have had far fewer problems with this vehicle in its first two years than people I know driving MUCH pricier machines.

Weakness:

-I feel that the power steering is a little too overresponsive. -I believe the gas mileage is not what I would expect, but this is a somewhat heavier and more solid vehicle than most others in its class. -As with the other Korean cars, dealerships may not have been awarded to erstwhile used car hucksters of the most sterling reputation and character.

I wandered into a Daewoo dealer because I just had to see any vehicle named a "Leganza." While I did not wind up buying the more grandiloquently named model, I did buy a Nubira because I thought it represented a good value, was well-equiped for the price, and frankly because it was such a peculiar marque that I took pity on it. I was anxious about the gathering storm clouds for the Daewoo Corporation in Korea and the uncertainties they posed for the future of this car, but took the plunge anyway. Those concerns about the company turned out to be justified, of course. I want to hope GM's purchase now makes that future more secure, but it does seem a bit like wishful thinking, however, to think about GM being able to run anything better than almost anyone. The car itself has performed just fine. The composite in the brake pads is pretty soft so they wear out relatively quickly but were cheap to replace (about $100 Cdn for the front pads). The car has had a peculiar problem of an episodic rattle which seens to come from the front amidship of the vehicle, by which the dealer's mechanics seem perplexed, but not to be too unkind they seem to be perplexed by most everything. So in general, so far, so good for this car. The trade in prospects look bleak up here in Canada, as what has been a pretty feckless overall North American marketing and distribution strategy has I think been especially weak here. My dealer has a rather forlorn assortment of 2001s in the lot, when one is getting to that point in the year that one would expect the 2003s to be arriving. One Canadian Daewoo dealer told me that he could not even count on receiving any new 2003 models. GM better get off their butts or Daewoos will recede into being an historical curiousity.

Look (rear spoiler and tinted windows does wonders for this car), ride, trunk space is great for a college student, price made my parents happy

Weakness:

CD player ate my CD one day, I had to disconnect the battery for it to spit it back out...DAMN SHAME! Cup holders are in the worst spot. CHECK ENGINE light is ALWAYS on. WHERE ARE THE FLOOR MATS!?!?!, gas tank is on the PASSENGER side of the car (now whose idea was that?), purchased the car and it only had ONE headlight; no bulb in the other light...didn't notice this until after it got dark

This car is seemingly nice, however my CHECK ENGINE light has been on every since I hit 25,000 (the end of my warranty)...I literally mean, AS SOON AS I HIT 24,999 the CHECK ENGINE light came on. (has been checked by 3 different dealers' service centers) Nice ride, and great on gas. I'm just a mere college student, so it will work for now but as soon as I get a degree and a job it's bye bye WOO!

Everything!!! Stay away from these cars.

This car has been the biggest pain in my a**!!! We bought it a year ago, and have had it in 7 times for service. The "check engine" light has come on 5 times, and everytime we take it in they fix it, yet a few weeks later the light is back on. The light came on again recently and when we called to make an appointment to have it serviced, we were told Daewoo has filed bankruptcy and our warranty will no longer be honored. You can imagine how furious I am!!! This car is a load of crap!

Interior size, thing considered "options" on other cars are "standard" on the ''Woo, good music system, pretty good gas milage, great looking (get compliments all the time)

Weakness:

Lousy cup-holders, the back''s of the front seats don''t move easily, it''s too low to the ground for gravel/dirt roads (needs about 3 more inches)

I love almost EVERYTHING about this car. I''m a big woman and do not comfortably fit in most small cars. But not my ''woo! I have plenty of leg-room, my arms swing around comfortably, and I never feel cramped. With the back down my big dog always has loads of relaxation space. The seats are comfortable and the dash is well configured. I feel safe, comfy and secure in the city or doing 75 on the highway.

Strength:

The car gets good gas mileage (25-31 mpg) on the highway. It''s nice looking, the interior is roomy, and interior noise is less than most other similiar size cars.

Weakness:

CUPHOLDERS. Other weaknesses include the stock tires which I was lucky to get 32K miles out of. The cheap hubcaps which have the paint peel off after washing the car. Minor vibrations on the inside door panels that drive you nuts to locate. Finally, the two way valve in the fuel tank that allowed gasoline vapors to directly enter my car was a mystery to everyone until they replaced the valve.

Overall, a nice car that is perfect for driving to and from work and around town. I''ve put 43K on the car in 14 months.

Out of the 7 brand new cars I bought, in the last week, 3 of them had the transmissions go out. Be sure and get your Daewoo in and have it checked before the warranty expires! Obviously, there is a problem! Cup holders!!!

On September 10, 2001, I purchased 7 brand new Daewoo''s to use for my courier service. They are roomy, nice interior, loaded with all the best of options. The drivers love the new vehicles, along with their cargo capacity. Each driver (I have 10 employees) is in the vehicle approximately 9 to 11 hours a day, so they love the comfort!
