read my earlier review,...im back since june 2002 i have had transmission leaks, vibrating noise, antilock brakes went out, coolant overflow, they blamed on oil change from a 1000 miles earlier,no a horible loud squeak when turning the car at low speeds.i have been given a hassle about getting rental cars to use its always an argument.today they told me it was on the lift and i had just driven by 30 secs earlier and it was outside snow covered....never again will i buy american cars..they are cheaply made i had mitsubishi for 10 years..no problems at all..email me rsbooboo@msn.com if you have questions.

Strength:

Pretty car, and can put the top down when it gets warm. Have had people stop me to tell me how nice car looks.

Weakness:

Trunk a little cramped when traveling.

Love the car. Have put about 28000 miles in less than two years on the car. Had transmission replaced at 10000 miles as it was whining. Had front wheel bearings replaced recently due to groaning. All under warranty. No rattles, no noises, no leaks. Brake pads replaced at 15000 miles. Car looks and sounds great. Have had 23 cars total in past 40 years. This is a good one.

Please...anyone reading this...DON'T even buy a Chrysler Sebring convertible. I have spoken with a number of convertible top installers who have confirmed that DCX has had major problems with the quality of their tops. Mine started coming apart at the seams (literally) shortly after the warranty expired. Other problems have included rear window defroster, AC, power window switches, badly fading plastic trim, transaxle, etc. And DON'T expect to get support from their service organization or DCX direct...buyer beware!!!

My Sebring LXi has provided two years and 36,000 miles of safe, trouble free motoring and my most exhilarating moments behind the wheel. Equipped with the 2.7 litre V-6, touring suspension and 4 wheel ABS, the Sebring is ideal for long trips through the mountains. It can easily reach 120 mph on the straights with a minimum of fuss. Auto Stick transmission option is highly recommended. The 200 hp V-6 is small by V 6 standards, but delivers good performance, particularly accelleration. Less torque than the larger V6 offerings, so expect more downshifting when accellerating rapidly or passing. Mileage in town is a consistent 25 mpg, slightly better 28 mpg on the open road. Could probably coax 30 mpg if you cruise at 65 mph, but that would take the fun out of driving this little car. Room enough for a 6'2" frame, all instruments well placed and easy to read. Over the shoulder checks when switching lanes are complicated by a thick rear window pillar. That is something you have to get used to. Canadian LXi comes with Michelin 205 x 16 raidals, highly recommended for wet weather driving. Pros: Great performance and stylish exterior. The Sterling Blue paint changes colours, depending on the level of sunlight. Depending on the weather, the car can appear silver, green or blue.

Comfortable seating,very roomy,big trunk, awesome sound system,good handling,smoooth ride.

Weakness:

Front end VERY low, I scrape it everytime I go over a stoper, but it looks soo cool. And the brakes sometimes make noise, but otehrwise awesome car.

I love this car, the exterior and interior....AWESOME....people don't realize what a nice car it is, mine being an Lxi has the leather interior, wood grain, moonroof and cd player. The inside is spectacular, my friends all feel like they are driving in a luxory car, which it is to me.

Model Reviewed: /Chrysler Sebring LXi

Strength:

Very stylish, there is nothing else like it on the road ( a nice change from all the Grand Prixs and Cavaliers you see on the road). Great Audio sysytem and the leather seats have a lumbar support and are quite comfortable. A lot of trunk space. The Sebring is also the best handling car I have ever driven, it turns on a dime and is very responsive. Smooth ride over bumps. A great alternative to the normal cars out there, if you like the Avenger and the Intrepid just think of the Sebring as more luxurious models (more featues etc.) I just love the look of it the side is flared and it runs all the way to the back bumper. The reat spoiler is an extention of the trunk (not on top) and adds a greaty sporty look to this otherwise luxury car

Weakness:

Brakes squeak on and off, but my pads arent worn (All chryslers have problems with bearings and I think this is the cause.) The front air intake (although it gives off a cool look) sits way to close to the ground and I find myself scraping it on areas where it shouldn't happen. I wish the engine was a 3.0L and not a 2.5, doesn't accelrate too quick, but once your out of 1st gear its surprisingly fast. The door speakers seem to rattle as well when your music is up loud. Hard to see out of the back, not a big problem but your vision is impared looking out of the rear view mirror, it seems that the rear of the car sits to high and it blocks your vision.

The Sebring is very affordable and so far it's been a great car. I have the Lxi which gives you the leather and the 17'' alloy wheels, it's really looks sharp. Great Sound system.
