None. I have had this car for over a year and I love it. I drive 40 miles to work everyday and it has 60,000 miles with no problems with it. I got it to replace a Pontiac Grand Am, which I had several problems with. I am very happy with the Sebring. I haven't had to take it once other than maintenence. Speeding Tickets I have had my Sebring for about 3 months and so far, it has been doing great.. I was really impressed with how well it started in sub-zero temperature without any problems...The sound is spectacular....and since i got the car aligned, it rides as well as my dad's Escalade....I am a teen and this is my first car and i love it! |

Looks for sure. More room than most coupes.
Weakness:
explained above I would say this is a pretty good car. Love the way it looks and handles. I have not had any more problems with this car than any other car I've owned. The low front end is defiantly a problem though and one door handle has came off. Other than that just a sensor and brakes one time have been replaced besides routine mantience. I HATE THIS CAR!!! As soon as I saw this car I had to have it. But not long after I got it there were numerous problems. Brakes have to be replaced constantly. Transmission problems, anti lock brake problems, i literally could go on forever. I have put at least 5,ooo dollars in repairs into this car. I wish someone would steal it!!!! Never again will I buy a sebring |

its a convertible
Weakness:
tts a very crappy convertible what a crap cake! well one morning i was late for work because my sebring jxi would not start. turned out to be an electrical problem and $500. ok fine, whatever. then other things came along like a crappy infinity sound system, bad brakes, bad acceleration, engine sounds horrible, leather seats cracking and ripping up, rear view mirror breaks, door panels are extremely loose.....one problem after the next. Dont ever buy this car. if u win one, sell it. Similar Products Used: volvo C70 <------- lookin for a convertible? theres ur answer |

Chrysler Sebring conv. lx
Strength:
Looks, solid build, OK performance
Weakness:
Terrible transmission Overall my 2002 Chrysler Sebring convertible has been a disappointment. I've had an oil leak at 5500 miles, covered under warranty, but would have cost nearly $900.00. What can I expect at 30,000 miles or 70,000 miles? The transmission is very inconsistent, often downshifting into low gear with a jolt. I've had the dealer check the trans twice with no problems found. I've experienced hard starting during this cold Winter we've had in the North East. In a new car?! I never had hard starting in my previous three cars, all American makes. I do love they styling of the car, and do find it to be very solidly built for a convertible. Also, I find the 2.7 litre v6 to have good acceleration, fine for most needs. The car has had favorable reviews, notably in a Motor Trend article comparing the Sebring conv. to the Solara conv. But all the bad reviews on this site! Oh well, I hope my Sebring doesn't reinforce the negative representation of American cars. Good luck to other owners! Strength:
The car had lots of power and very comfortable riding, nice sound system, and if you like the body style its nifty
Weakness:
the shocks wear pretty easy causing the front clip to break maybe also the rear end sits too high I would consider lowering it 2" I've seen several with the front clip broken. The trans. is tough and also the motor. Very durable. There is something wrong with this model besides the antilock brake system. The car has a very bad miss in it even after i have changed the Plugs,Wires,Distibutor cap,Rotor and MAP sensor. The computer test just states that there is a random missfire on all cylinders. I cannot figure this thing out. |

Comfy seats Comfy ride good power from the 4cyl decent looks
Weakness:
Big heavy doors Big heavy feel/handling No fun to drive. NOT at all tossable. Hard to park. Dashboard a mile long. 4cyl engine already making strange sounds. Drove this car around a lot as my girlfriend's Jetta was getting bodywork done. Did a lot of hwy and city driving. It's relatively comfy and drives OK and I guess if you're dying for a convertible...you could consider it but I wouldn't. This thing is such a boat. Has 31k miles on it and engine sounds like crap. With all the imports out there that have overtly better quality, it puzzles me that people actually make car payments on these things. This car is feels so heavy and is no fun to drive. So if you're looking for heavy and no fun, this is your car! Similar Products Used: almost everything |
