Everyone seems to like its looks, someone is always saying they "want your car". It is stylish and is more comfortable most other cars of its kind.
Weakness:
There are tons! We will start with the most recent problem experienced. 3rd and 4th gear went out! When taken to get fixed Whole transmission had to be rebuilt for $1,200. After rebuilt. 3rd and 4th gear was still out. So they called wonderful CHRYSLER. Chrysler tells them to check two parts for Hairline Cracks, Which they FOUND! SO Chrysler Knew about these parts being defective but failed to let anyone know. Obviously they have had this problem many times but the cost of RECALL is too much MONEY for them to mess with. SO BEWARE. Chrysler fought with us every bit of the way and still will not pay for the rebuild. They payed for a portion of it after much fighting. GUITLY CONSCIENCE I must say! Other things wrong are the Switch for the control on the driver side for the passenger window is out! Were the window and the top come together and seal it Conviniently leaks directly on the electric window controls which is not Waterproof! The Hub cap just decided to fall off for no reason. The other hubcaps clips broke too easy! It has also been taken in for many different problems with the engine itself and the brakes. This has all happend without any abuse. The car has been treated VERY VERY well. I am just very fed up with Chrysler, from sebrings to neons. All JUNK! Though it is very classy and sleak, the problem was that Chrysler built it! IT is expensive for all the problems we had! I've talked to many mechanics and they all seem to agree that Chryslers are a pain to fix or just generaly maintain. The dealerships are swamped with fixing their own cars, so that should tell you something about the company. I would recommend a Saturn if you want to go American. Toyota, BMW, KIA, VW if you want to go for a foreign made car! Similar Products Used: Chrysler Neons are also a pain. The Air is out and it is only 5 years old and not abused. A friends has the same year and the air is also out. Expensive to fix also. Very noisey and the soundsystem is SAD! It compares in the cheapness of the build and quality. |

Looks, reliability
Weakness:
Brakes squeak at first startup, but stops after one or two uses. I love this car. I am a convertible lover and have owned several. This is , by far, the best. At 15,000 miles it still runs smoothly, quietly and with excellent performance for a 170 HP engine. The sound system is terrific, especially the 6 CD auto player. The top is smooth, quiet and doesn't leak. (I live in Houston, where it gets very hot. On those days, with the top up and A/C on, it's as good as a hardtop.) Similar Products Used: Several since 1975. Dodge, Chevy and Ford. This is the best. |

The Infinity stereo system has great sound and the body style is sharp. Alot of peolple still compliment my vehicle even though the new body styles are out.
Weakness:
The tires are the ultimate down fall. I have the ultra performance Good Years and I've already replaced 7 tires due to wear. At $216.00 a tire for the 17" wheel, it's getting way to costly. Plus my car was just at the dealer and they told me I need 3 more new tires. And forget driving in the snow with these things, I consulted a Good Year "expert" of 30 years and he explained that these tires SHOULD NOT be driven in snow. You get stuck in 3" of snow and slide all over the place. With the winter we've had I'm actually afraid of driving my car, I have very little control. I have 50,000 mile on my car and just replaced the transmission. Within the first year my stereo system crashed on me, TWICE. That was under warranty, not anymore, I was told if it goes it will cost $832.00 to replace. Not good!!! On Oct. 7th I was hit(not my fault!) in the front passenger panel. There is very little protection on this car and it ended being almost $10,000 in damage. Last year I was rerended and that was $4,000 in damage. This car is ranked very unsafe by my insurance company, and now I agree. It's a terrible, bumpy ride and the leather seats are hard and uncomfortable. Well I could keep going but I'm afraid I'll jinx myself. I'm looking to unload it, however I owe more than it's worth. I think I gave all of my opinions in the weakness section. I would suggest this as a fun summer car only. Similar Products Used: None really, I've only driven SUV's since I got this and there is no comparison. |

I too have had problems with the brakes-- 40k miles I've replaced the breaks 3 times... just recently replaced the rotars I like the car. Despite the problems, it's a great looking, functional vehicle with a great feel and a personality (you all know wat I mean). Similar Products Used: feels more solid then a cavelier while maybe a little more sluggish off the line |

Convertible
Strength:
This car is very nice looking, especially when it's nice and shiny. Nice to cruise down the beach with the top down. Drives very smothly and easy to handle. The speakers are very good and have good tweaters and good bass. Very roomy, the backseats have lots of leg room. Easy to put top up and down with just a push of a button. The trunk is an alright size.
Weakness:
The acceleration is ok but my friends '94 Ford Escort dusted me. Not a good car to put racing stuff in it. I've got beaten by Wranglers and Blazers. 2nd and 3rd gears are an alright speed though. The braking is not made for quick stopping, should have a lot of better braking for a convertible. The car is way too long. Do not put subwoofers in the trunk or it will rattle your ears off. It seems like I'm going to break everything in the car. The side panels are so easy to break on accident, as I've done before. Burns up gas fast. The whole car is so fragile. This car cost $25,000 new. It should've been about $5,000 less. I would reccommend only the convertible for the summer cruising down the beach, other than that it's not really worth it. I would rather of gotten a faster car or a nice SUV. Not a car for younger people looking for speed and loud bass. More for older people looking for a nice looking covertible. Similar Products Used: Many other cars are faster. Subwoofers would sound a hell of a lot better in a smaller car. |

Great styling inside and out. Lots of standard equipment like sunroof, anti-lock brakes, leather interior, and etc.
Weakness:
Transmission, Not enough power, no remote trunk release(keyfob) When we bought this car it's the Champaine color w/tan interior. We fell in love with it. It had 31,000 miles on it. At 37,000 the Planetary gears went out in the Tranmission and cost $2200.00 to replace. The Goodyear tires SUCK! Replaced them with Yokahoma AVID's cost $550.00. Now at almost 51,000 miles there is Power Steering fluid leak somewhere(can't find it). Sunroof Shade rattles. It's not all back tho. The stereo sounds really good, rides really well, good gas mileage Similar Products Used: None |
