Pretty car. Like the polo green color. Wonder when it will fade off?!?!
Weakness:
Where should I start! The car has 54,000 miles on it now. Under 35,000 mi. the trasmission had to be replaced. Well, it needs to be again. I backed out of my drive way, stopped it in the road, put it in drive, and it rolled back. I stepped on the break thinking I must of hit nuetral! Nope! It was in drive! So, I took my foot off the break for it to roll backwards again, and the jump and throw me forward in my seat as the transmission decided to kick into drive. It also likes to slip when I try to go at stop signs, stop lights, kids crossing the road.... Next! The door molding on the passenger side has fallen off not once, twice, but three times. I have taken it to a dealer ship in three different states! Each one blames the other for bad labor/parts! Hmm? What''s up with that??? First in AR, they said it was the factory had a bad clip. Then in WI, they said AR put it on wrong. Next back here in MO, they said that the WI dealership put "cheap store bought clips on the door molding!" And even asked if I was sure it was a dealer ship I took it too. That dealership is in Portage WI! You made need to stay away from that place so you don''t get cheap replacement pieces! Oh, and the bra JUNK! First brand new car I have ever owned! Always have had preowned cars before like Honda, Nissan, Chevy! This Chrysler car is a waste of my money!!!! Similar Products Used: My neighbor has a Chrysler van, she has had it in the dealership to be fixed numerous times also and hate Chrysler products too. |

Strength:
Look good.
Weakness:
Front end scrapes, scrapes and scrapes. I can not even pull into my own driveway or the driveway where I work with out scraping the front end. The doors drip black glue and although I had both replaced it is leaking again. The rubber around the windshiled peeled off and was flopping in the wind so bad that I had to cut it off. The back end is so high and the front end so low you can not use the rearview mirror, you must use your side mirrors and then hope you did not miss anything. Although the doors are huge and hard to handle the interior is too small for my oldest son to sit either in the front or back comfortably and he is not even six foot. I bought the car because it looks bueatiful. I had been told Chryslers were no good but it was so bueatiful. It looked like the turn of the century 2000. With its bueatiful silver and gold colors I could not resist. Similar Products Used: I have not used a similar product and do not know what to do with this one. Its value has dropped so much I feel stuck. |

Great looking car
Weakness:
Have had car towed in twice in the last 8 weeks. First time it was the fuel pump, and there was none to be found in North America. After two weeks I got the car back. Last week, the same symptons, but they repaired in five days since it was the fuel pump relay. This makes me apprehensive about going out of town in my nearly new Sebring. Anyone else having problems with fuel pump? |

Strength:
Great looks, good ride, good fuel economy, and ride comfort.
Weakness:
Loud road noise, little rattles when i get on it until it shifts into high gear, may just be a heat shield though. Tires wear quickly, and the brakes are terrible. Great car. We''ve had it for awhile now and nothing major has gone wrong. BRAKES, they''re terrible. Had them done before we bought the car and now we need to get new ones again, after only ten thousand miles. Interior is roomy, but the seats are a little low for me. Rides great and tracks straight down the road. Acceleration is very fast. Paint is great and bright red, rims are still gleaming. Love the car and it''s been very good to us. Similar Products Used: Escort, and a tempo, the sebring is cheaper to keep on the road than they were. |

Chrysler Sebring - LX - V6 upgrade
Strength:
Handling Response, Room in front and rear, style, 4 wheel discs - excellent stopping power, V-6 Engine - Powerful and Delivers
Weakness:
Have to be careful, as the car is close to the ground - i.e., curbs, parking, etc. I have had to take it in for a "popping" noise from the steering area which is a recall. Also the door panel on the driver''s side popped loose and was repaired. After research and driving Toyotas and Hondas, I decided to purchase a 2001 Sebring Sedan. This has been a wonderful car and handles exceptionally. It has a powerful engine and handles like a dream. I love the design, look and quality. It was about $7,000 less than a Honda Accord or Toyota Camry V-6. So far, I do not regret a thing, in fact, I have a new enjoyment for the whole road trip experience. |

Styling is exceptional. Gas mileage is good. Interior is exceptional.
Weakness:
Limited turning radius. This is another fine Daimler-Chrysler product. I also own a 1999 Cirrus LXi. Both cars were purchased "loaded" with everything I could get on them. The 2001 Sebring hauls ass! The leather package is of fine quality as is the Cirrus. I still say that Daimler added a bit of that German engineering into this years Sebring. Doesn''t matter where it got assembled if the quality and engineering of the parts are high quality. This was not a cheap car, but, I bought it right of the showroom floor. Fiery red paint job and heavy chrome six spoke mag wheels. A real "knock-out". Similar Products Used: Chrysler Cirrus, Chrysler 300, Audi 5000, |

Strength:
a lot of car for the money, its a convertable
Weakness:
Brakes are weak, I noticed the newer models have disc brakes all the way around. Got the JXi , has about everything on it including an alarm and heated mirrors. Tracks very straight going down the road. Corners very well, V6 24 valve - 2.5L lots of power here. Only 33,000 miles, front brakes are fine. When it comes time to have roters turned down I think I will get an upgrade to a heavy duty one. Similar Products Used: None |

Chryler does not stand behind their products. My sister has had problems with both a Neon and a Grand Cherokee. I will take it upon myself to warn everyone I have contact with to BUY ELSEWHERE!! If you have a 2000 JXI, beware - I smell a needed recall that they are avoiding - watch it when you approach 30m. I loved this car untill it went over 30m miles. Along with early brake work (which I see now is par for the course on sebrings), I had shifting problems in overdrive - couldn''t drive 50-65 without jumping in and out of gear. Took it in prior to warranty expiration and was told that the dealer could not locate problem, that they called chrysler and were told it was "typical" for this car. BULL!! Within two months, I noticed transmission fluid leaking, so I took it back in - of course, now I''m over my warranty milage. Both dealer and chrysler refusing to fix problem, and I''m looking at a 500$ repair bill on a 1 1/2 yr old car!! Similar Products Used: None |
