Strength:
I like the ride, and interior is nice. The car had a good amount of power and treated my mother well for the years that she had it.
Weakness:
Well it was a family car and it seems that my mom sold it to me right in the nick of time. 2 weeks after I bought it the water pump threw a bearing, and took out lots of stuff on the front of the motor. Timing belt, tensioner and idler pulleys, water pump, timing belt cover and some other stuff were all damaged and had to be replaced. The repair costed $1500 to accomplish. Now the transmission has let go and the car will not move forwards at all, and the prices I have been quoted to fix it are from $1600 to $3000. And the brakes on the car always wear funny. The windows roll down really slowly and the locks don't work properly. I paid $5000 for the car, the same price the dealer would pay for it. Since then I have put $2000 into repairs on top of that not to mention the price of the transmission repair!!! I liked the car when it didn't break down, but can't see spending the extra money on the car. I will NEVER own a Chrysler product again. The experience that I have had with this car is horrendous and would not want anyone else to go through the same type of problem. Strength:
It has a spacious and comfortable interior- stylish too since this one has the leather package. When the car is actually running, it has response and handling that is better than you'd expect from such a large car.
Weakness:
**EXTREMELY UNRELIABLE** I couldn't reccomend this car to anyone, unless they were my most hated enemy. It's only reliable for the first 2 years, which if you're only planning on keeping it that long, it's not worth buying, only leasing. Don't waste your money on this car. It's a very bad investment. Strength:
The car had a great ride and excellent gas mileage along with a comfortable interior and instruments within easy reach
Weakness:
However, mechanically it was terrible. The transmission went out for the first time at 800 miles. I should have known something was up at that point. After supposedly having it fixed by the dealer, it went out again 5 more times all over a 3 year period. Along with this, I also had to have the air conditioner coil replaced as well as the water pump which blew out causing damage to the alternator. All of this occured 120 miles from home. The transmission finally went out for the last time in late 1999. I was on my was home from a trip when it decided it had had enough. While cruising along at 65 mph it suddenly dropped down to about 20 mph. What was supposed to be a 3 hour trip turned into 6. It was at that time that I decided it was time to look elsewhere. The months of going without a car while it was being repaired were over. I will give the Chrysler Corporation credit for designing cars that LOOK good but the only reason they stay looking good is because they never get driven in the rain, wind, dirt, or sun because they are always broken down. I would have to give SERIOUS thought into ever owning another Chrylser product again. Although the Chrysler product that I had was a good riding car and probably would have remained a good car had it not been for the numerous problems that were involved with it. After reading some of the other posts on this site, I see that I was not alone. After numerous trips to 2 different dealers and many phone calls to the corporate headquarters in Detroit, I have decided that Chrysler products are only good if you want to drive to the grocery store and back and no farther. If you are thinking of buying a Chrylser product, please shop around and have a back-up in mind because eventually you will be needing it!!! Strength:
Looks (very sharp), very roomy (very large back seat, and huge trunk), nice riding car.
Weakness:
Reliability, had to have 5 power window motors replaced (all separate occassions, each door once and the drivers door twice, dealer cracked both front door panels when replacing motors, also scratched tint on drivers door, all were replaced after calling Chrysler Corp.), black metal strip which is part of the hood near the windshield blew off while driving, transmission sensor went bad (stopped car from shifting and stopped speedometer), radiator release valve blew(leaking coolant over engine), weather stripping around passenger back door fell off twice, rubber molding around the headlights came off(had replaced). One of the best looking Chryslers ever made. Very comfortable ride, but unfortunately, terrible workmanship. Dealer took care of all problems, but who wants to spend that much time with the dealer?? This was my first and last Chrysler. Can't believe I kept the car 2 years!! Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
STYLE is great, Price is VERY competitive, Reliability is better than average, Economy is good for a big car.
Weakness:
Noisy. Road and tire noise way too loud inside car. Ill conceived front end design, Climate control leaks cold air. Quality of interior finish is not very impressive. Beauty is only skin deep. I LOVED the style of this vehicle and the price is hard to beat for the features, but guess what? There is NO FREE LUNCH! That pretty front grill and bumper scrapes every driveway and parking lot curb. Tires are noisy, suspension transmits noise. Just a little too "Loose" in feel. Have you ever driven an Acura or Mercedes? This won't remind you of one at all. Some cars are actually rated 4 or 5! This is less than that. Great ride, room, COMFORT, styling is magnificent
Weakness:
Door moldings falling off, some questionable interior plastics, too much road/wind noise There have been some bad reviews about some Chysler Concordes, and maybe we lucked out on this one, but this was a very good car. We leased this Chrysler for 30 months and had minimal problems with it. The only problems were the door moldings falling off the rear doors (annoying) and the air conditioning was starting to loose its 'coldness' by the end of the lease term. However, I would not hesitate to say that this is one of the best looking 4-door sedans in the world. The front end and side profile/roofline are marvelous. There is NOTHING wrong with the exterior styling of this car. Inside, it's super-comfortable. The seats are wide and comfy, and the rear-seat legroom is comperable to a BMW 740iL or Mercedes S500 (no joke!). Headroom is a bit scarce, however. The ride is amazing, bordering on Cadillac-like. There is WAY too much wind and road noise that makes its way into the cabin, though. Overall, I would still reccomend this car. Similar Products Used: None |

good handling, rides smoothly, roomy
Weakness:
needs an alighnment, shocks or struts might be worn I think the car is loaded and is a very nice ride. It certianly has enough power for a 3.5! I think if this car is driven nicely it won't have major problems. Similar Products Used: Dodge Intrepid, Eagle Vision |

Comfotable ride, beautiful interior, sharp looking car.
Weakness:
None really to mention, other than replacing the front struts at 80,000 miles I have had no other mechanical problem with the vehicle. My wife and I really like this car, I mean its not a 70 mustang, but then again no car designed today is. Timing Belt. A/C O-ring failed several times. Transmission shifting problems and stick in first gear. Timing Belt went out with less than 40k miles on it. A/C O-ring failed several times. Luckly I had extended warrenty. Best decision I made about the car. Had transmission problems at 85K and 91K within the extended warranty period. After driving for apprx 30+ miles in stop & go trans would begin to have problems shifting from 1st to 2nd and from 3rd to overdrive. Then it would stick in first gear. Took it to a 5 star dealer who could not find or fix the problem. Then, a miracle - the warranty is over and the problem happens again. Now the identify the problem Some pistion needs to be replaces $1800. Horrible resale value. Car lists for $6500 could find anybody willing to give me more than $2500. Never Again! Strength:
Certainly, it looks good from the outside. It also is very large inside. These attributes sell this car. Car has 108,000 miles in 7 years, but it has been very expensive.
Weakness:
Where to start? How about the lousy air conditioning, transmission, brakes, and terrible wind noise. Just who is designing these cars? Yes, if it is under warranty, they fix it. But, these items will go south again, I can assure you. I've heard that later models are better. But, I also hear continued bad reports about these cars. Look at the recalls, and service bulletins that continue to go out. They are saying something. When you spend $20,000, you should have a car where the transmission, water pump, brakes, etc, etc. do not expire several times before 80,000 miles.
