None so far. I'm still empressed with the design and ability of this big car. I like all the room and leather trim etc. Its hard to belive its only a 6 under the beautifully sculpted hood. Too bad these cars depriciate as badly as they do. Ive taken it to the dealer once for a problem with the Infinity stereo, they fixed it, sounds great. Ruidoso en carreteras no perfectas, aire acondicionado un poquito debil,Aceleracion inicial un poco lenta.y los seguros del carro en las puertas fallan ocasionalmente I'm sorry I understan English, but I can't Write. Weakness:
ride is a little rough on less than perfect pavement Although I've only had the car for about 3 months, I've put around 5g miles on it. It now has around 53G on the odometer. So far, this is one of the best cars that I have ever owned. The car is good looking and luxurious. The gas mileage is good for a big car. It's a downer that it needs more then regular unleaded, but the money I save on insurance more than makes up for the gas (safe car discount). All the toys work great. The radio is to confusing (infinity system). The ride is a little rough on less than perfect pavement. The interior looks good even with the plastic wood. The seats take some getting used to (leather & power). As a used car, I expect to have some problems. However, so far so good. Similar Products Used: buick pontiac crown victoria |

ENGINE, PRODUCT NOT BACKED BY CHRYSLER, PAYMENTS OUT LAST CAR. THIS CAR IS NICE TO LOOK AT, HANDLES WELL, BUT HAS A JUNK ENGINE. OUR CAR CHECKED OUT, STOPPED RUNNING, TOOK IT TO THE DEALER. TO BE TOLD IT COST MORE FOR THE ENGINE THEN THE CAR IS WORTH. EVERY PLACE I CALL. I AM TOLD IT IS JUNK ENGINE. CHRYSLER WILL NOT HONOR THEIR PRODUCT. EXTENDED WARRANTY RAN OUT A MONTH BEFORE IT STOPPED. ESTIMATED COST $8000.00 THE DEALER WANTED TO BIRMINGHAM CHRYSLER CHARGED US $500.00 TO CHECK IT OUT AND WANTED ANOTHER $500.00 TO PUT IT BACK. NEEDLESS TO SAY THEY PUT IT IN THE TRUNK IN PIECES. WE HAD JUST PURCHASED A 2003 JEEP, WHICH WE IMMEDIATELY TRADED AFTER THE SERVICE WE RECEIVED. CHRYSLER WILL NOT RECALL THE ENGINE. AT THIS POINT BECAUSE IT'S IN PIECES YOU CAN NOT TELL IF A PART WAS RECALLED. JUNK SERVICE FOR A JUNK CAR. DON'T BUY IT!! |

Spaciousness, comfortable seats, V6 2. liter engine, responsive steering, great traction, massive trunk, beautiful exterior design, tough body
Weakness:
Foot pedal hand brake, wacko fake wooden finish, and that's about it At first I wasn't really happy about it since it was my first car and I was expecting something more sporty like a coupe, but I guess my dad did a right choice for buying me this car, even though my uncles said that I was out of my mind to buy it and told me it was of bad quality, but so far I've seen nothing but quality in this car, even though the joke fake wood lining, but the car stands out as a great one, nothing can beat the cars extremely comfortabl seats, I wouldn't mind sleeping some nights on 'em! the steering response is as resposive as the nervous system of one's own body. speaking of body it has an amazingly tough (and I mean REALLY tough) body against collisions I was in a car accident in it once which resulted the car that hit me (2000 nissan sunny) to turn into a crumpled piece of paper, while my car was only scratched on the rear. another bit of chrysler's generousity is the immensly HUGE trunk, my youngerbrother would joke around by lying aroud the trunk comfortably, the trunk is big enough to hold 5 bagpacks, with enough room for more! not to mention the beautiful extrior design, and for a luxury car I wouldn't imagine how this car would look like after adding some spoilers and some accessories. I already added an AMG sticker and it looks "oh-so" sexy. if you ask me, this car is my choice for a first car, you would be a fool to hate Chryslers hard work and effort in this beauty. The mileage is AMAZING I get 29.6 mpg combination city and hi-way.Very roomy interior, great radio.Wild very bright high beam headlights.Seats are comfortable.Steering is tight, handles bumps well. The mob should use these cars, you can get four or five body's in the trunk, or four sets of golf clubs whatever you prefer.Car gets up and goes.
Weakness:
I use to build race cars (drag) Hemi's 426's, etc and still tinker at 54 yrs old, but cannot imagine working under the hood of this car or any new car today. The motors are sideways, everything is computerized, sensors everywhere. That is why I purchased the exrended car warranty, hopefully I won't have to use it. Other weakness may be the small back rear window but it is not that bad I look out the front one when I drive anyhow. Looked around for a car that was full size, had front wheel drive, looked good and got great mileage. Found this 1998 Concorde and so far it is unbelievable starting right out of the gate with an incredible 29.6 mpg with the 2.7 litre V-6, dual overhead cam, 24 valve aluminum engine. Response/acceleration is great both city and hi-way.On the thru-way cruising at 60-65 mph maintained 34 to 35 mpg, When going up a hill or grade mpg dropped to 24 mpg, still incredible. Did notice some wind noise at hi-way speeds around what I think were the side view mirrors or window trim. I can live with that....have the radio on anyway. I'm 6'4" 220 lbs and fit easily into the driver or passenger side. I even tried the back seat...not bad. The one thing I like about this car is it's stylish design, even though it is a 1998 it has the look that it could be a 2003 year design. Car is a pleasure to drive both city and hi-way. Consumer reports had bad write ups for years up until 1997, new designs and changes for 1998. I hope that is true so far it is.We'll see. This is a good looking car exterior and interior, but that's all I can say for a car that has been a huge loss of money for me.
Weakness:
Interior lights come on and go off for no reason. There is a rumbling noise when the car is driven over the slightest of bumps. The engine failed due to what I have been told as oil sludge build up. The cost to repair-$7,000.00. I have discovered the car is only worth $6,000.00. I bought my Chrysler Concorde LX a year and a half ago. I was very impressed with it's roominess and appealing features. I have taken very good care of this car and it has been serviced regularly. However, at 65,000 miles, I started noticing some problems. |

Strength:
Roomy, comfortable, and a very good looking car all at a reasonable price.
Weakness:
So far I have found none, although occasionally I hear a small "clunk" from the transmission when I change from park to drive. Top quality car for the money. I have never purchased a North American car before but was very impressed with what Chrysler is producing in their designs. Very roomy, lots of power and very well priced. I own a BMW 525i and it no where compares to this car (piece of junk in my opinion). Keep up the good work Chrysler. Maybe Ford and GM should be paying attention!
