Sleak body style, above average road handeling, smooth comfortable ride, strong A/C, Excellent sound system.
Weakness:
Brake system squeaks, Battery location makes it difficult to switch battery. Purchased used in 1999 with 19,000 miles and still driving today with over 128,000 miles! It has generally been a dependable car. I have driven the car over 100,000 miles with no major problems. |

Nice looking car.

Everything listed above + whatever will brake after ill get the car back from mechanics shop again. LEMON,LEMON,LEMON!!!!! I had this car for about year, nothing but problems. It had 43000 miles when i bought this car ,now it has 52000 miles and i spent more time in mechanics shop then driving this car. First it was ABS then brakes ,leaking transmission, brakes again, squicky doors, fuel pump relay, windshield wipers,AC,transmission kicks in 1st gear when driving at 30-35mph. I went to mechanics shop with the tranny problem 3 times already and they can't figure out what it is ,hopefully it wont put me thru the windshield when i drive 55 on the highway and it kicks in to 1st or 2nd gear. Shame on you CHRYSLER!!!If it was just me i would say its a bad luck ,but the more i read about the car on this web site the more i think Chrysler need to hire better engineers or find better suppliers of the components they put in to these cars. Im sure not all Chrysler products are Lemons ,but i would never take another chance of buying Chrysler after all the problems i had and all the money i spent on repairs. Looks good, sounds good, speakers are excellent. A/C is cold, heat is hot. Pretty good on gas milage too.
Weakness:
1 week afetr I purchased it, one of my belts started to shred. Has no pick up. Sometimes the brakes suck. The trunk latch broke that was inside the car.(For me this is a good thing because nobody can get inside the trunk w/o the key.) After reading the other reviews, I'm shocked. I had no major problems with the Cirrus. Drives good, looks great, sounds great, and overall this car was worth every penny that I paid for it. |

100% PURE LEMON!! NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS!! I've had the car 2 years, 2 months, approximately 4 days and just wish it spontaneously combust! Have been through 5 sets of brakes (no, I'm not kidding), numerous tires, alignment has been off since day 1 ( I bought car with 30,000 miles), distributor went and car died 3 days after purchase, $900 repair, 2 batteries, (1 before new alternator and 1 after), check engine light comes on frequently, have had it in and no one can figure out the problem, car sputters like it's going to stall everytime I slow down to stop, jerks like you're being rear ended. AC and defrost died after 1 year. $600 repair that I will NOT waste my money putting into it. Back doors crunch and squeak horribly still after numerous cans of WD-40. Trunk switch from inside car broke after 2 or 3 months. Speakers shake and go in and out when I hit any bump in the road. I am thoroughly disappointed in Chrysler. Never again will I purchase a Chrysler product. I wouldn't wish this lemon on anyone. Similar Products Used: 1988 Pontiac Firebird with 120,000 miles on it(which ran better than the 95 Cirrus) |

squeaky doors, can not open trunk with key, transmission problems, brakes feel soft,in cold temperatures door latch seizes and can not close doors LEMON!!!!!!! worst problem by far is the transmission. A glitch puts trany into limp mode which prevents car to shift out of second gear. When glitch occurs it feels like you are being rear-ended.My wife drives the cirrus and we have a 17 month old baby with her all the time.It has cost over $900.00 and they still can not find the glitch.very disapointed in chrysler and i pray nothing happens to my wife and daughter on the road because of this.the car only has 85000 miles and by far the worst car ever bought.I owned chrysler before and was satisfied but the cirrus is a mistake! Car looks good after 7 years, no rust, great looking interior
Weakness:
Have replaced brakes twice. For 3 years in a row, car has started surging on highway after warmed up, check engine light goes on, then finally dies and won't start. Expensive repairs each time which were covered under my 7-year warranty I thankfully purchased. Will probably get another car and car payment even tho car still looks great due to this distributor problem they can never fix for more than a year. Poor experience with dealer. Not a good experience. Similar Products Used: 87 Pontiac Sable which ran great but rusted out before the insides died. |
