Strength:

Nice styling, roomy, fairly peppy v6.

Weakness:

Durability and gas mileage.

I hate to say it because I absolutely love how this car looks, but it is a piece of junk. At just shy of 130,000 miles I have already replaced a rear ball joint, the not so cheap transmission, a power window that misteriously broke due to some malfunction and countless other little problems that have annoyed me from day one.. Don''t get me wrong... I love chrysler''s but this is one that I should never have bought.

I guess I''m stupid. This is my 3rd Chrysler. I had a 1977 LeBaron which should have been junked right off the lot. So, now I gave Chysler a second chance. I liked the styling of the Cirrus and bought a 1995. 1000 miles latter my steering goes out. Problems with paint and additional steering problems forced me to use the Ohio lemon law. The car was replaced with a 1996 cirrus.(Third chance)This one really hasn''t been that bad of a car. It''s comfortable to drive and looks good. (If you look passed the miss-matched paint on the front bummper) I have 90,000 miles on this car. Here is my list of problems: Transmission leaks etc., Two sets of brakes. Air condition compessor died after 4 years ($900.00 repair). To be traded in for 2002 VW Passat

Everything stated above.

Worst car ever owned. I bought the 1995 vehicle used and had 35,000 miles, with in 2 months of owning it, I took the car in to be serviced because smoke was coming out from under the hood. Turns out the a/c bearings froze up and I needed to replace the a/c unit. Then the car started stalling when I turned the a/c on and came to a stop. It took 13 service calls (and 2 1/2 years)to get this handled. The service dept''s, could not figure it out. They replaced the computer, distributor, distributor cap, egr valves, eg gasket, cable iginition wires, plugs, plennum gasket. All in all over $2000.00. Then the brakes started making noise, the calipers, brake pads, drums, rotors and whole bit had to be replaced cost me over $900.00. Then transmission problems, took to service and they replaced the cooler lines and external cooler $495.00. Then the car wouldn''t stay running needed to replace the idle air control motor another $223.00. This weekend my car started racing and wouldn''t downshift so now I suppose it is the transmission. I have only owned this car for 4 years. What a piece of junk. I called to talk to someone at Chrysler and got a gal that just types in information and asked to receive a call back and she stated if they deem it necessary they will call me back. Guess what?? No returned phone call. This car has been a total lemon. I will take the bus before buying another Chrysler product. I will not refer a Chrysler product to anyone.

Looks great, handles great and feels great. Stereo system was great and the price I paid for all the options i got was great. The acceleration wasn't to bad I was able to keep up w/ anything on the road,(I couldn't beat anything in a race but I could keep up w/anything, and thats pretty good considering it has a small v6) But!!!!!

Weakness:

The service sucked, the resale value sucked and I think I was the only person in the world w/ a brand new car that stayed in the shop. I had the extended warranty but still. I didn't pay all that money for a car to be sitting in the shop, and the rentals you get are horrible. Did I say the service sucked... I can't possibly emphasize how bad the service was...

Overall I have to give it a good review, I loved my car, I loved the looks I got when driving it. I loved everything about my car except..... MY CAR BROKE DOWN ALL THE TIME, oil leak, transmission leak, I had more brake jobs than latoya had face lifts and did I mention that the service at Brandon Chrylsyer in Brandon FL. SUCKED!!!!! But the reason I give it a good review is because I didn't have a problem w/ my car until I took it in to be serviced and then I was taking it in on a monthly basis to get something fixed that the service people broke.

Compared to Mazda 626, Honda Accord, Chevorlet malibu, Nissan altima and the Maxima... I think for my options and the money it is better than all the rest. I wasn't impressed by any of the others at all, except the Maxima. If you can afford it, it is the best car on the road (talking about the maxima)

Strength:

largest trunk in its class, sport V6, extras that come standard, styling and appearance

Weakness:

reliability (or lack thereof), breakdowns, constant problems

I bought this car used with around 50,000 miles on it. Right away the A/C went bad. I was quoted over $1000 to repair it, so I continue to pay $40 to recharge it a couple of times a year. Half of the power window controllers don't work. The ABS control module went bad at 80,000 miles. The ABS system still works, but I have an annoying brake light lit up on my dashboard - for $350 I can live with it. The ride is like a hay wagon - the shocks and struts need replaced (this may be typical for a car with 96,000 miles, but in my experience I haven't had to replace these items on any other vehicles). The remote keyless entry system works when it wants to (which is less than half the time). Now, at just over 96,000 miles the transmission is shot. For a mere $1500 dollars I can get it fixed. So much for a reliable used car. Don't buy Chrysler until their quality catches up to their styling.

I would recommend to anybody. It's a very reliable car. I made a trip from Brazil to the Pacific ocean, inChile, crossing the Andes, in the middle of nowhere, no pavements at all, drove up to 16,000ft high and the car was perfect.Total trip: 7.000 miles and not even a problem, and the car is about 100,000 miles

Looks nice and that is it!

Weakness:

I have owned this car since Sept. of 1998 and I have had this car in the shop 10 times for major work. I broke down several times, the brakes have gone 3 times, engine problems and all. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CAR!!! This car is a headache.

Being that this car has had numerous problems, I would not recommend this car unless you like spending time at the garage.

I love the style!! It's a very sharp looking car with many options for the price. Leather seats, sunroof, 6 CD changer. Stereo system has an awsome sound.

Weakness:

The V6 is a bit weak, hard to accelerate into traffic but once you get going it's fine. The cup holders are way too tight...near better design next time. Get the extended warranty though, Chrysler is known for problems. I haven't had any yet...knock on wood.

I would recommend this product for someone who is looking for luxury but does not want to spend a ridiculous amount of money. I've received many compliments on my car. I love it!!

Strength:

The car handles extremely well, the interior is very comfortable. The brakes were initially a problem, I replaced them with some high quality aftermarket (non dealer supplied)brake pads and now I have a fantastic brake system.

Weakness:

The service provided by TATE Chryler sucked, everytime I took the car in for a warranty service they tried to charge me for "something they found?" to include warped rotors, wheel bearings battery ect this was all within 30 days of purchasing the vehicle. I began to take my car to Fitzgerald auto Mall and recieved much better service "with no complaints from me"

I've driven my chrysler for a few years now and I am very satisfied with it. and now that it is out of warranty and I do my own services, I have had a whole lot less mechanical problems with my Cirrus.

if I had to compare it with other midsize cars I would have to say it is much better than the GM and Ford lines in its class, and outclasses all the imports (for Price/Value and quality) except the Mazda Lineup
