The TwinCam 3.4L engine is really powerful and makes 210bhp and 215ft/lbs of torgue. I could always keep up with my friends probe GT and anothers Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS. also its really reliable. plus you can get them in a 5spd Gets like 27mpg on the highway!!
Weakness:
handling was a little on the downside since its a heavy car, and there is no cup holder, stock bose stereo sucks and most people replace them cuz the amps blow up. I would definitly recommend this car, especially if you want somthing fast and affordable and still have room to haul around some friends. The car gets awesome gas milage both in town and on the highway, its fast and looks great. plus if you want to there is an aftermarket for parts and accessories to make it even faster. The 3.4L engine was awesome! Similar Products Used: taurus SHO |

What I like about this car is that it is unstopable my dad has ran into a dear and it keep on going it has been passed down twice i am the third driver of the car. It also has great turning and good power. Besides regular mantainace and gas there has been no real big problem it is a very reliable car and it has close to 300,000 miles on it.
Weakness:
Some of the weaknesses are no cup holders the windows are not the best and the gas milege could be better but besides that it is a pretty decent car I would definetly recommend this car to younger drivers it is very safe and wieghs alot has good power and you can find them for a pretty good price. Overall it has been a tank, you would have to literally beat the engine with a sleg hammer before it would quiet on you. Similar Products Used: I have used a Ford Mustang the mustang probably beats it in preformance but it could never last and be as debendable as the Lumina. |

Chevrolet Lumina Euro
Strength:
Exterior styling is sporty, yet conservative. The Euro package adds alloy wheels, sport suspension, gauge pkg., upgraded seats, rear spoiler, red accents on trim & badges, & many standard features such as A/C & ABS. This car has excellent interior room, a very spcious trunk w/ cargo net, & the 3.1 multi-port V-6 engine provides more than adequate acceleration. It is rated @ 140 bhp. This doesn't seem like much on paper, however this car has excellent on-ramp acceleration & plenty of 50-70 mph passing power. GM engineers also designed an excellent 4-speed automatic transmission in this car. I particularly like the dashboard layout, even though it has been referred to as dated. Excellent push-button A/C & heater controls. Great factory stereo. Many options, including rear def., trunk release, PW,PL,cass.,tach,voltmeter,temp.gauge.
Weakness:
Power locks lock automatically when gear is shifted into park--however they don't unlock when car is turned off. You can find a decent Lumina Euro ('90-'94) between $2500 to $8500, depending on the year, mileage, condition, etc. Remember, earlier models ('90 & '91) do not have ABS. Chev Lumina Z-34
Strength:
Roomy comfortable interior; very nice "freeway" car, quiet and has ample power with the 3.4 liter V-6. Good car for extensive travel, covers miles easily. Cavernous trunk; adequate back seat room for 2-door, and it garners "looks" wherever it goes despite being "aged".
Weakness:
Suspension too "willowy" - bobs like a cork on undulating surfaces that my 85 Peugeot hardly knows exist. Z-34 has sports suspension? Need more practice in suspension development. This was a used VERY well cared for 93 Z-34 with 46,000 miles on it 2 years ago. Previously owned by older lady that "pampered" it so it was "as new". Very nice car ($8.500), sporty yet comfortable for two; back seat "useable"; good body, no rattles or squeaks; I would recommend this car (in GOOD condition) - bad reputation largely a result of "lead foot" accelerator problem. Good quality for the price! This car requires "agility" to exit and enter due to the generous slope of the windshield pillars. Don't pursue this if you're "arthritic" of back or limb.. Similar Products Used: My general comparison is between "American" (Ford, Chevvie, Chrysler) and European autos (Volkswagen, Peugeot). Suspension components are "wimpy" - show lack of control on all but best of surfaces compared to European counterparts. |

The 3.4 DOHC engin runs like a dream. Handling is great. Roomy trunk for my stereo and other toys. Pure head turner with and the rice burners around I still get plenty of lookers. The engin compartment is the right size for the Grand Prix GTP 3.8 supercharged engin. wich i'll put in soon.
Weakness:
Ya the cup holder thing sucks. as far as rapairs I don't mind I do them all my self. The fact that you cant' find anyother bodykitts or spoilers to personalize it is kinda a drag to but O well my Z rock anyways. I love my car I hope i never have to part with it. Similar Products Used: I haven't found a car in the same class or year range that could match this car. Most import hondas, acuras, and eclips I blow away. |

Hauls @ss. Great pickup. leaves rubber when I want it to, and sometimes when I don't. Takes a hit broadside really well (driver's side)
Weakness:
The seats, the brakes, Head gasket blew with less than 100K, squeaks, radio sucks @ss. Replaced the head gasket, intake manifold gasket, has this nasty surging feeling when you maintain a set speed, like it wants to stall out, but that car has been put through hell, and it still runs like a top...a slightly warped, out of round top. The brakes are spongy, the exhaust is finally showing signs of wear, but I don't know of anything better, besides, don't the Dodge's still stall out a lot? It's a great car, and I'd probably buy another one... Similar Products Used: Better than the Taurus, and not near as much room as the Intrepid. I'm 6'2" |

well where do I start the engine is very strong for a 140 hp with 180 ft lbs torque. Very sporty looking alot of space all through out the car. Great factory speakers. I got it from my uncle, that was a machanic and he took care of every thing really well. I got it with 92,000 miles on it and it still runs great. NO brake problems or any thing else I have had problems with. All that I can say is this car sounds great with factory exhaust system the engine also sounds great. It is an all around great reliable car. I would recomend it to any first time cars for you because I know from experiance this is my first car.
Weakness:
well the only miner thing is there is no cup holders but I don't need to worry about that I don't drink that much any ways. this is a great car that will get you to point A to point B in NO TIME. Similar Products Used: none this is a one of a kind |

Lumina Euro 2dr.
Strength:
3.1L V-6 is probably the most dependable engine you can find. If you change the oil every 5000 KM and keep up with other maintenance, it should last forever. My car has 150,000km and most is original (INCLUDING the entire exhaust system). The only things I have replaced is the tires, the brakes lines (once), brake pads, outer CV boots and R/F Tie Rod. Everything else is stock and original. Only things I know that need replaced now is the exhaust (holding out good though!) and the trans. pan gasket. Looks sporty, good pickup, high speed (I've had it going over 180km/hr) and LOTS of room for a big stereo. I've got lots of plans for this car if it's still around after I'm done school. If not.. I'll just buy another one and built it up from scratch. I think it has the potential to look really cool and go fast.
Weakness:
Everyone knows the brakes suck in these cars, and mine is no exception. Some days it's not bad, and other days it feels like you have to use your whole body to stop the car. Emergency brake doesn't work anymore. No cup holders? (not really needed for me..). I would like this car more if it was a 5 speed manual. I've owned the 1990 Lumina since day one. Bought brand new spring of 1990 and car has ran great ever since. Car needs some minor repair done (although not cheap), and for a car that drives in Canada YEAR ROUND, it runs excellent. I would buy this car all over again without hesitation. Looks sporty with the 2dr. Euro version, but have seen 4dr versions and hated them. The car is very heavy, but with some modifications, this car would be a very fast, sporty, good handling and reliable car. Similar Products Used: 1989 Chev Cavalier 5 speed with 3.1L engine - Engine on this car had 366,000km's on the car, and ran GREAT!!! Never had a problem with it, rust was minimal, was 5 speed manual, brakes were good. Only reason I even got rid of it was because someone pulled out in front of me when I was doing 60km/hr and pushed the front bumper into the engine block... so sad. |

Strength:
I drive alot on the freeway, it is the smoothest car I have ever driven. I guess compared to my 93 grand am gt it is. The accel gives you a rush, and also leaves a black strip of rubber. All and all the 3.1L is one of the smoothest shifting V6's I have ever driven.
Weakness:
Do the breaks ever stop sqealing? I have replaced them once and they never quit. The gas guage floats a little too much, unless your on a flat surface, then it stays still. I have owned this car for about 5 weeks. I havent had one problem with it so far, except for breaks that were replaced at the dealer when I got it. Coming up on 80,000 miles, still looks like new. I have even had people ask me if its brand new! It was previously owned by an older man. So that makes it a one owner car. The interior is perfect with no stains and the seats are very comfortable. The shocks could be just a little firmer though, and more than one cup holder could be useful too. Similar Products Used: 1987 Grand Am:This car kicks some serious butt. Offers way more room than |
