Infiniti G35 Sport
Strength:
1) Powerful! 2) Incredible handling 3) Sharp styling 4) Aerodynamic 5) Comfortable seating
Weakness:
1) Weak Bose stereo system & speaker's 2) Interior trim scratches easily 3) Major brake dust causes brakes to squeal (must have cleaned occasionally), 4) Should come standard with fuel mileage computer 5) Need a little bit wider tire My overall assessment of the G35 has been good. I chose this vehicle because of its styling, handling, and performance. The price for such an automobile was very reasonable. I've had many Audi, BMW, Mercedes, & Lexus driver's inquire about it. They all have complimented the sharp styling. |

Strength:
* Crisp Handling (I've yet to rip the rear end loose) * Powerful Engine (260 horses in a sled smaller than my old Maxima makes this a rocket) * Excellent ergonomics (roomy, great driving position) * Fabulous Toys (Navigation System, Bose Sound System, Homelink) * Beautiful Styling (I love it when BMW's speed up to check out what just passed them) * Value (price out a BMW 330i similarly equipped and you will pay $10K more)
Weakness:
*Gas Mileage - I am turning in about 22 - 23 MPG on the Hwy. It could use a 6th gear. * Tiptronic shifter doesnt automatically downshift to 1st when coming to a stop like the A4 and Acura. * The drivers seat appears to be made for smaller japanese butts. Bigger Americans may find the lips dig into your upper thighs. * Nav System won't accept standard DVD's (so much for entertaining the kids) This car is the best combination of sports car and sedan that I have ever encountered. I looked a long time at the Audi A4, Acura TLS and kept coming back to the G35. The A4 has a tight suspension but its' driving position isn't as comfortable as the G35, and even the 3.0 is underpowered in comparison. The Acura is larger and also has a great engine, but it doesn't have the same tight steering that the G35 has and the interior looks a bit cheezy with all of that plastic wood. I have been a Nissan owner for the past 12 years I kept coming back because of the great value, performance and low maintenance of their product. I believe that Infiniti offers all of those attributes but with more luxury. The only painful part of my G35 experience was trying to get one equipped the way I wanted it. Mine has Premium Pkg, Navigation System, Sport Package, Winter Package and Aero Package. The dealers who had them in stock weren't cutting any deals and I didn't feel like waiting until December. So I finally swallowed my pride and paid list. In a couple more trips in this beauty, I will have forgotten about that experience too. Infiniti G35
Strength:
1. 260 Horsepower V-6 Engine 2. Great Handling 3. Bose Stereo System (Premium Package) 4. Reclining Rear Seats (Premium Package) 5. Good Deal for the $$$
Weakness:
1. Lack of Chrome Door Handles on Interior 2. Orange Lighting for the Dashboard, Radio and Information Center 3. Interior only comes in Black or Tan (Would like gray as an option) 4. Exterior Temperature Gauge doesn't work correctly upon car startup. I've owned my 2003 Infiniti G35 for about three months now. I purchased the car at Discover Infiniti in Carlsbad, CA for about $32700 plus tax and license. This includes the Premium Package, Leather, Bose Stereo System, Xenon Headlamps, and Wood Trim Package. Overall, I am impressed by the strides that Infiniti has taken with this car to try to emulate the driving characteristics of a German sedan (like a BMW). I traded in my 2001 BMW 325i for this automobile, and overall I feel the Infiniti is on par with the BMW. Both the BMW and the Infiniti are rear-wheel drive automobiles, and there's nothing like it...power delivered to the rear wheels make you feel that the car is being pushed along rather than pulled. For those of you considering an Acura or other front-wheel drive product, you will notice both the Infiniti and BMW have a better turning radius because of the rear-wheel drive system. However, since I've owned the car, I've had two trips to the dealership to fix squeak and rattle problems in the doors and the rear parcel shelf. The rattle in the door manifested itself sometimes when the radio was on and there's some bass in the music. The good news is that Infiniti has developed a fix-it kit for the dealers to fix the rattle in the doors. The service department at Discover Infiniti, San Diego is top notch and as Infiniti always does, they provide Infiniti I35s as loaner cars for any service. At BMW, loaner cars are not guaranteed and they use Enterprise Rent-A-Car for the loaner cars. Strength:
Performance is unreal. The power comes in at zero and seems to never stop. Breaks are superb, although a little over sensitive at low speeds. Except for the rear, the car looks very classy on the road. Excellent road manners. This car actually feels a lot smaller when driving.
Weakness:
Interior materials could have been better, or maybe they should offer a more luxurious version at extra cost. Break a little too sensitive at low speeds. The back doesn't seem to fit the car, and I am not overly fond of the way it hangs down. The dash board is cheesy. The console in the centre of the dash above the clock should be eliminated completely. I don't need to know which direction I am going in, that's a Pathfinder feature. The orange speedo lights are either too bright or too dim at night, bad BMW immitation. After having owned a BMW 323i and 330i and all the problems that go along with owning a BMW. Lets just say I am on first name terms with all the people at BMW in my area, I decided to go for something more reliable. Don't kid yourself about this car, the G35 that is. The performance is very similar to the BMW.. I don't have the sports suspension on my G35, out of choice I might add. I found the sports suspension a little too regid in the BMW and I wanted something software in this car. I have to say there is nothing like driving a BMW, but the G35 is as close as you get. The performance of the G35 is far superior to the 330i. I actually waved goodby to the guy in the 330i trying to race me. The look on his face was precious. Fuel consumption is really good, especially on the open road. The tank is also a good size. I have done 10000km so far and absolutely no problems, although I have been called in for a small recall check. Similar Products Used: BMW 330i BMW 323i |

G35
Strength:
High quality, outstanding V6, excellent handling, fantastic brakes(and you'll need them), nice lines(looks like a Mercedes in the front and an A4 on the sides). Excellent drag coefficient, better than Porche and BMW.
Weakness:
I don't like the look of the tail lights and the drooping back, my only complaint. After painstaking research and several test drives(BWM 330, SAAB 9-5, Audi A4) I purchased the G35, without hesitation. I had owned a G20 in the past and found the car to be very reliable, well built, and a good value. The G35 is of course in a much higher class than the G20. It's very fast, handles extremely well, has an engine that purrs, and a level of quality that meets or beats the competition. I've had older model M3's race me and lose badly, much to their surprise. You'll see that Road and Track just rated the G35 as the number 1 sports sedan, beating out the 330 based on the fact that the car performs very close to the 330 but costs $7,500 less. If money is no object get a M3 or M5. But for the money you really can't beat this car. Similar Products Used: I had a Saab 9-5 Aero in Europe for 2 years. Nice car but much more expensive and little things would break on it. I've driven the new M3 and if I won the lottery I'd buy one, or the M5. A great car b |

Strength:
THIS IS A REAL SPORTS CAR! Power, handling, braking is #1. Actually has more power than you'll ever use. The back seat is VERY roomy. On eof the ffew sports sedans that fit 5 adults comfortably. Makes the BMW's back seat look like a Audi tt! Lots of storage compartments
Weakness:
Brakes are electronic controlled, which are great, but WAY too sensitive. It's hard to make gradual stops with people in the car. Bose stereo is a rip off for $900 extra. Not worth it one bit, but every car had the option. Windshield has strange relections w/the willow interior. Sunvisors are cheap. The silver interior (sports package) is painted plastic and scratches easy (should be a coate material or metal) Fold-down rear seats would have been nice. I was in search of the best sports sedan, for my budget, as a gift for my wife. I did my typical over-researched appraoch and tested the A4, S60, 330i (didn't even drive it, too cramped!), TL-S, Passat and IS300. The Acura was the best deal for the $$, but I still could not pass up the Infiniti. To put it bluntly, this car is in the wrong class. It is a TRUE sports car, much like an Acura RSX or Prelude is. The car is extreamly fast, handles like a rail, stops harder than you'll ever want and shifts exactly like you would. The difference is between the G35 and other sports cars, is the G35 has room for 5! (and more power!) This car goes much further than the 'typical' sport sedans from BMW and Audi. You have to drive this car hard, don't be intimidated by the sales man (in fact, don't let me come at all!) Even the exhaust note is sporty! Makes mom look cool when she's picking up the kid at soccor! Similar Products Used: A4 18T & 3.0, A6 2.8, S60T, 330i, TL-S, IS300 |

Weakness:
None Best car you availible for $30,000. -Perfect weight distribution -260 horse power/260 torque -.26 coeficient of drag which is better than a Porshe 911 turbo. quite shocking but true. -Faster than most sports cars -has more interior space than competitor. Similar Products Used: acura tls |

Nix G35
Strength:
The whole package...the car flies, the Bose system ROCKS, this is the closest you can feel to actually being in a race car
Weakness:
The amber lights do not bother me, the clock is a little hard to see at night...otherwise THIS CAR HAS NO WEAKNESS! This car is awesome...I bought the luxury leather model with everything except the Navi. system. Let me just say the car handles beautifully and is a joy to drive, especially in the Dallas traffic. The only problem is that I cant get around all those damn cars, this car makes you want to move. I have read other reviews stating that the interior looks cheap etc.. This could not be farther from the truth, the leather is nice and soft and the interior (i got the titanium finish) is NICE. It all depends on who you are and what you want. This car is very modern and a bit futuristic, if thats what you want then this is the car for you, but if not, stay away...go look at a Lincoln or Buick. This car is for hip, modern, forward thinking individuals. See ya in my rear view!!! Similar Products Used: Toyota Camry and various SUV's |

Strength:
Power, style, quality, the car really reacts like it's wired to your nervous system. Brakes, handling, acceleration, hold on, here we go! Oh yea, mine's black, and I live in TX... the a/c works great, and the auto climate control is perfect, it even goes from recycle to fresh air automatically. Any it's very quiet inside. The suspension gets softer after about 2000 miles. A very nice ride for a sporty car.
Weakness:
You get used to the amber dash lights, but the interior is more sport than lux, and I had to have my seat adjuster replaced and the door had a rattle, both were fixed at Crest, great (great) service dept. What a rocket. This car loves to be driven fast, and gets looks everywhere I go. You really don't drive it, you put on. I had an SUV, so it took some getting used to the response. It's like it has two engines back to back, one is good to 3500rpm then the other one kicks in from 3500 to about 6500. I did not experience this on my test drive, so imagine my surprise! Similar Products Used: 2000 TL- not even close if you want a rocket, wind and road noise inside after about 15,000 miles, Aunt May styling. 330i- slower with auto, much more expensive, oh you want metallic paint, well that' |
