Great looks, no quality problems, V8 performance, great comfort, people are still impressed! Heated seats are great, power lumbar control is awesome. Comfortable seats all the way around. Good power for such a big car. It's been garaged and looks great. Various dealers have treated me very well, although the only Cadillac service I've had has been promotional oil changes. The carpet will never wear out. I bought it with a couple of weird dings in the hood. Dent Wizard removed them through magic!
Weakness:
Evidently this car was designed before cup holders were invented. There's next to no interior storage; no door storage, minimal console room, only the glove box. Thank goodness for the roof mounted sun glasses holder. Now after 10 years, I have a little paint adhesion problem on a rear door. But otherwise, the paint has been great. The trunk pull down failed after about 5 years so I disconnected it and just close the trunk manually, no problem. I looked long and hard for a Seville that had few miles but was not new. I bought a 92 in 95 with 11K miles and now have 62K problem free miles. I still think it's a good ride and good performer. I will wait a few more years and look for a used DTS. I will probably put another 50K on this car if my luck holds out. It looks great still! I baby it and have no real complaints. This Cadi has all the options you could ask for. Nice tight stering great brakeing. luxury car but that blub blub you would think you would only find in a big tuff car (e.p.) camaro, mustang but quiet on the inside. The dual pipes are nice and the moon roof is great option. Key less entry is very nice also and a trunk you open with the tuch of a butten on the key chain when your hands are full is a must! Nice bose radio. 300 hp very fast luxury car than most! Great rideing car Nice and roomy. Great inside and out. I get a lot of looks very sporty car. The gold key club is great, roadside service,50,000 miles or 5 years!!!
Weakness:
The car is very very nice. The led brake light goes in and out but that is very comman in sevilles (both STS AND SLS) the leather seats are in good shape but they wrikle after a while. the wood trim My crack a bit or some lines in it my apper. Some water may leak in rear brake light after washing or rain but drys right up after a while. Takes a fair amount of gas to. Mostly a very great car!!! After all that the car is great I could not get anything better for what I paid. This is the car for me and maybe for you. I see twenty to fifty year olds for this car. Go to your local cadillac dealer for more information. Similar Products Used: I have had many cadillacs all modles and the seville is the best. bmw, mercades-benz eat my dust!!! Drop dead gorgeous looks. Triple dipped chrome rims (look excellent with vogue tires). Awesome acceleration. Good luxury features.
Weakness:
Hmmm Where do I begin. Lets start with those idiots at GM. Cadillac says they are having trouble appealing to younger buyers. Maybe its because we want our moneys worth out of our vehicles. It was less than a month after buying I headed to the Cadillac dealer as my warranty company recommended for some front end work. Being in my early twenties I was treated like a bum of the street. I have not nor will not return to a Cadillac service center for the rest of my sane life. I have a stack of repair bills for this car that puts Robert Downey JRs rap sheet to shame. The best investment I ever made was a 900.00 dollar warranty from my credit union. They have since replaced the entire engine with a used one that had 50,000 miles on it (always read the fine print). I have replaced the water pump on the old and new engine, the solenoid, alternator, belt, pulley, fan, and a ton of other things I cant even pronounce. I have my put my mechanics three kids through college. What a joke that this cars sticker was over $40,000 and it is only good for 80-100 thousand miles. I will never buy a Cadillac again. This car is the ultimate example of a LEMON. I have heard alot of other horror stories from local seville owners and on countless web sites including this one. Lexus here I come. If you can afford a brand new one, why not. But save yourself a headache and sell before you hit 36000 miles. If you are thinking about buying used take some mechaincs courses and get a job at Cadillac. Maybe one day America will make a good luxury car. They take thier styling from japanese and german cars, they should try imitating thier quality parts. Similar Products Used: My only other car was a 1987 Chevy Caprice. I sold it because it needed some engine work. Ironic isnt it. |

300 HP, smooth quit ride, roomy, squeling the tires when shifting into 2nd gear at 50MPH in a 4dr luxury sedan
Weakness:
Noisy engine when outside, power steering belt slippage, DEPRECIATION Recommend for roomy power & luxury with sporty handling. No major reliability problems to date (fingers crossed). Depreciation scares me though Similar Products Used: Buick LeSabre - CAdillac has much better ride, handling, noise level & power - but the LeSabre isn't in the same category of course! |

It's very large and guzzles lots of gas just like a large barge should...
Weakness:
The whitewall on the tires was really a creamy color... couldn't call it white in a million years. Besides... it only had three wheels. No, I take that back, on a second & third re-count, I found it to have 4 wheels, but that whitewall stuff was still creamy golldurn it... I took this monstrous device for a test ride last weekend. My local dealer has a special deal on at the moment... buy this model and he'll make Al Gore president... but I guess I wouldn't count on that. Similar Products Used: The Titanic... compared very favorably... much better meals & a very dedicated orchestra... |

Seville SLS
Strength:
Strong wiper blades, decent stereo, the headlights are indestructible, northstar engine name, leather seats, heater works.
Weakness:
transmission failure at 45K and after it was replaced it shifted erratically from 1-2 and 3-4 not 2-3 and dealer said nothing was wrong, the power seat motor was replaced twice in the same year, headlight switch failed causing electrical failure of all components that are elctrically controlled and the engine management system and fuse boxes and circuit breakers were replaced, northstar motor not what it's said to be- it's not smooth nor fast at all and it misses at highway speeds, the power steering pump is replaced once every 3 months. This is absolutely the worst luxury car on the market, If i were you i would never buy one unless you have lot's of cash and like taking you're car to the shop everyday. Other than that i absolutely don't recommend this car at all. GM has transformed Cadillac from a luxury make to a souped up chevy with a V8 and larger trunk. While managing to get away with using the cheapest parts you can possibly find on $40-50K dollar cars. Now that's unexcusable!. Similar Products Used: Lexus,BMW,Mercedes-Benz,Lincoln: These manufacturers provide much more reliable cars with more gadgets and technology. |

Strength:
Nice HID headlamps, Onstar system, The Seville is a very high-tech luxury automobile, I bought this because of the Northstar Motor, I love the handbrake it is actually strong enough to stop the car.
Weakness:
Brakes failed at 1k causing me to test the handbrake and engine compression and it was very hard to drive car at 55 mph on a 70 mph freeway for 1 hour to my dealer. The suspension went wacko and caused the car to ride very harsh. The motor is not powerful nor quick to get to speed. I don't like the stodgy styling it just plain looks ugly. Poor build quality. I like the technology founfd in the seville but the car is to high priced for being not reliable and having cheap materials. I only reccommend this car if you want a good car with lots of problems. Similar Products Used: Acura 3.2- The 3.2 my previous car is much better than this. |

Cadillac Seville
Strength:
northstar power and smoothness, lots of high tech features, the power of & fusion and design of technology, underhood compartment very attractive
Weakness:
too high a price for cheap interior bits and pieces that crack and fall off, i get new tires every 10k because the suspension is damaged- idont drive hard but i guess this is due too driving on michigans rough roads. The northstar v-8 is very noisy at idle and i experience lots of vibrations during cold start idle, I have a brake problem that the rotors kill the brake pads easily, The left headlight failed and entire headlight was replaced due to partial electrical system failure. So far at 30k nothing but problems. Cadillac has done nothing to fix their quality problems on my car at all, i believe that they are only dedicated to making money of these cars and saving costs by using low quality parts. I had a 1993 Lincoln Towncar and the front suspension had problems at 120k because i drove very hard and my dealer couldnt fix it so i called lincoln headquarters and they immediatly took care of the problem. Ive made calls to gm and gotten nothing out of it. I will never buy from Cadillac because their quality and reliability seem to be on par with kia( which is the worst manufacturer). I will go to other luxury makes such as Lincoln and BMW for reliable cars. Currently i own this seville and my 19 year old son has a 1996 Lincoln Continental which he drives very hard and that car has had no problem despite 2 years of bad treatment to the car. Similar Products Used: Lincoln Continental, Towncar- the lincolns have much higher quality than cadillac. |

Excellent acceleration, cornering , braking, nice looks and safe... just comfortable car all around
Weakness:
Muffler too low, CD player does not take shocks very well, engine noisy if you are on the outside I strongly recommed this car to anyone looking for used luxury, (depreciate too much new), for over 2 years (I got it used in 98) no problems at all, only needed routine maintanence, enjoy everytime I drive this car, 6 years old and has lots of power, excellent handling , not as bad on gas as would've imagined for that size and weight, well maintained can run for very long time, this was my first cadillac experience and I think I'm sticking to that brand in the future Similar Products Used: None |
