Weakness:

Not so good on gas...But Hey its a Cadillac..I never expected it to be..

I purchased this car not to long back, and i was suprised at all the options that it had for an 89'' and how well it handles in all types of weather. It has a nice motor under the hood that has prooved to be reliable thus so far...

Strength:

300 hp engine, comfortable seats, good looks.

Weakness:

Ergonomics are like a truck. No center console shifter. Front-wheel drive needs to be Rear-wheel drive. No cd changer. Displays are too much in one place and need some color breakup. No Mark VIII Lincoln.

So far i like the car. We previously had a Lincoln Mark VIII which makes the eldorado seem a little cheap. The ergonomics could be better, and the options were limited. The front wheel drive is annoying due to the oversteer with all front wheel drives and the steering is sluggish like a truck. It this car was a RWD and had tighter steering it would be a beast on wheels. The 300 hp engine is nice and has a good growl to it when you push the pedal to the floor. All in all, i think it is a good car, but it could have came with more comforts for the price.

Weakness:

the car does not hold up for the money it cost

I,m angry because I have been lead to to believe this was the US,s finest car when it came to durability. This is the fourth caddy I have purchased and made excuses for the cars performance. The first being an 84 sedan deville, the struts went out. The 87 had to replace the engine, the next a 92 seville this car completely deteriated spent $4,000. When I got rid of the car it had me stranded on the express because the battery would not a charge and the caddy dealer wanted $1,000 to repair the car at this point I knew I would have drive it into the nearest river, but I chose to replace with a 96 eldo notice it no longer requires a capital letter. This one had 22 or 24 thousand miles it now has 53thousand miles and the seals for engine and rearend are gone plus the fuel pump is gone needless to say I am going to be a turncoat can''t afford the payment and repairs. Going to let some uspecting have I know is a peice of poop.I,m diappointed quite frankly I,m devisated I still owe $20,oo on this peice of poop Beware let it stay on the lot until the money we are ask to pay as consumers it,s not worth it

Strength:

Warrenty and professional service. Police seem to accept you speeding, I have no idea why? Its very easy to Acceleration+++. Anything you find undesireable in the appearence, they will fix no-charge.

Weakness:

Loose when cornering and no-one from Cadillac can tell you when or what to notice if the shocks or coils wear out. The rotars are way to thin. You will have to replace them possible every 8 momths. Nobody knows how to remove the governor. You MUST keep both hands and firm on the steering wheel if your thinking of getting out of an intersection. This car will get away from you if your not paying attention to detail. Way to many computers limiting the owner from performing any general matinence. You can't even change the battery without need ina technician to reset the computers allowing the car to operate as it should. Your definately held hostage by the dealership.

I've enjoyed this car from day 1. I purchased it with 19K miles and have had no major problems.

Strength:

Good pick-up win not in the shop.

Weakness:

Do not know where to start

Alot of problem with motor. At 47000 mile replaced fuel pump $900.00. Then
six months later replaced the electronic brake module $1300.00. Now it needs another fuel pump not going to happen, will pawn off on the first fool that comes along. I have owned for 2 years. I am terrifed to take it on road trips. It tells you when your door is open but will not tell when there is something major wrong

Strength:

The dealership was very nice offered us coffee and donuts. Had I known then what I know now I would have left the coffee and donuts and ran for the nearest BMW, Cadillac or Audi dealer around.

Weakness:

I picked the car up at night and the next morning it would not start. 3 days in the shop. Next the transmission leaked on the garage floor. 4 days in the shop. The wipers did not work. 1 day in the shop. On and on and on. Finally got the feds involved under the lemon law and no longer have the car.

Although I know how reliable and great these cars are supposed to be mine was not. I am glad that I know longer own the car.

Strength:

Styling, performance, gas milage, dealer support

Weakness:

Interior quality

Excellent automobile with all the bells and whistles. Knockout styling that is ageless (why the've stuck with it?). This is a heavy car that performs like a lightweight. With the design and performance of the Northstar engine, I liken it to a Corvette with a backseat.

The Eldorado is vastly superior to Lincolns in every category and it's American made aspect is preferable to the Lexus and Infinity genre of vehicles.

Strength:

Picked one up off a lease for a decent price. Long warrenty if you want
to spend the various ficticious costs to certify the vechicle. 6/70,000.
Can't touch this class of car buying new for the same price.

Weakness:

Being an audiophile the stereo is week at best. Eventhough the BOSE system
is a gimme, it doesn't allow listening to big bass drum base or timpanies
on most classical tracks.

Definately recomend this car to anyone I know. I picked it up
for 29,100$ with 28000 miles on it. I saw stickers as high
as 36,000$ for a 19000 mile version. The paint is un-real. I
have the Crimson Pearl, which has gold and maroon flec. To
be honest the Green looks like crap next to the Crimson.

Qualities??? This is the lamest piece of junk i've ever lifted in all my 20 years as a car thief. I Didnt even keep it a day though. For a stolen car, these things sell fast. I made $2,000 off of it though, so i guess it wasnt all bad.

Weakness:

The whole thing was a complete piece of junk.

I almost got Busted in this piece of junk. These cars take less than 5 seconds to lift. As a public service, if you want to keep your car, dont buy an Eldorado. These are the worlds easiest Boosts.
