Wordls best looking late model coupe.Northstar is a hell of a powerplant. passes like a demon and still gets 27 mpg on the highway

Lousy brakes for a heavy car. mushy suspention, cheap interior construction.Rear panels pulling apart. It needs another 100 horsepower and rear wheel drive. When I wear this one out in November I'll get another one

I love these things. This is my second Eldo. The first was a 1994. In two years I put 100,000 miles and three sets of tires,and two sets of brakes on it. also a water pump. I bought the 97 last December,and so far have put over 40,000 on it. Zero problems and I don't baby it I run it hard.

I just got done reading the review of the 4.9 caddy motor being junk. That guy most have gotten a bad beat up cadi. I have a 1991 sedan deville with 175,000 miles on it & this car is tight. Still extremely fast & powerful and its idling just fine{after i reset the computer} This car rides like a dream and i will never own another car other than Cadillac. I thank this cadi everyday for showing me the way.

I LOVE this CAR! It was purchased at 13,000 miles from a dealer and had one-owner (little old lady). Car is like brand new. I recommend to all Eldo owners to find their own reputable mechanic whom they trust to fix it. I have one who babied my Cadillac Sedan Deville whom I since gave to my husband with over 100,000 miles and not too much expense which was purchased w/39K miles.

Cadillac parts only,incompetent dealer service and over priced everything.

I have nothing but problems out of this car,since the beginning its had over $4,000 dollars of minor repairs put into it.The engine has a bad idle that no one can figure out,it's had four water pumps because no one knew they had to have a special tool to instal the pump,torgue converter went bad,had the entire front end fixed(some parts had to be done twice),new bypass struts cost $1,100 a piece.4.9 engine is junk,if you see a 91 eldorado pass it up,it's not worth the time or money.They always say you have to have Cadillac money to own a Cadillac now i know what they meant.

Very Poor Quality, All Raplacement parts availavle only at cadillac. cant get anything from the autopart store. Very costley to repair.

This car has about the quality of a Ford escort, from the 80's, I got the car 6 months ago with 46k on it. i traded in my 89 eldorado it had 150k and never had any real problems. i now have have 55k on this one. The trans is slipping, roters are shot, starter went, cadillic converter is bad, cd player don't work all the time, there a vacuume leak, door seals leak, and the molding is comming off the sides. I will Never Buy another cadillac again.

Had to replace filler boots in the back for $1,700 this Feb.

Had this car custom built with what I wanted on it in Mich. Car has no mech. problems to this day. 2nd cars have come and gone and this beauty with power keeps going. No wonder Cadilac lost the public when they made them CHEAP(with expensive pric tag) AND UGLY.

It looks great. My friends envy me when I pull through the parking lot after having just buffed it to sparkling shine. Almost unbelievable power on demand. There is never any question about timing a spot to get on the freeway or into another lane. If you want to get into the lane, you simply put the pedal to the metal and you are there. Period. I out ran a souped up looking Camaro. The guy couldn''t believe it with his wide rear tires and jacked up suspension. I was not the least bit surprized though. On top of all that, it''s not too bad on gas. Boze stereo is a nice touch. Environmental controls are great especially in the Texas heat. It''s not your fathers typical Cadillac. This car is "Bad to the Bone".

The car is comfortable to tour in but the suspension isn''t mushy. When going over rough spots in the road, you can feel it more than you would expect from a luxury car. The tin heat shield over the exhaust pipe at the back bumper vibrated off. The retractable antena failed.

I love it! It''s beautiful, sporty, fast, sort of like a large comfortable Trans Am.

I am disappointed by some of the negative reviews here. For anyone who has a Caddy with a Northstar, you should feel privileged to have such raw power and distinction on the road. I love my Eldorado since the day I got it (when I was 16). 40k miles, 4 years, countless oil changes, 8 tires, 4 brakes, two throttle bodies, one new exhaust system, one bumpers, one headlamp, and one CD player later, I''''m more in love with it than ever before...the chicks dig it, and it''''s faster than a bat out of hell. Also, it''''s very comfy and roomy making it perfect for long rides two and from college.

This is the worst Car i have ever owned.. The HT4100 Engine is a total Junk.. That never ran good and quit running at 80k.. the Black Box which runs everything went bad three times.. 2K New $800.00 Used The Transmission went bad at 60k had over heating problems from day one.. i bought the car with 20k Miles and the reason i bought a cadillac was to have a dependiable car !!!
