Strength:
Rigidness, car responsiveness
Weakness:
price I noticed significant increase in handling with this bar. I was pleased with it and did much research before forking over the money for it. At the time I bought it, it was the best, and personally still think it is. Other bars flex and this one doesnt (supposedly). Installation was a breeze. Before it was on, I would take corners pretty fast and the front tires would always squeal. After, the tires never did. I have neuspeed race springs, so I guess its better to have springs with this mod than anything to feel the difference. I feel confident to push my teg to the limits now. Next is sway bars and rear tie bars. Hopefully that will make me even more confident especially on the autocross track. Similar Products Used: None |

Bar itself is very sturdy and looks undestructable. Welds are nice and clean. Install is simple and fits like factory
Weakness:
Should be cheaper After installation of this bar, my car didn't flex as much. Everytime i went over a speed bump at an angle (not head on), the car used to creak and flex. After putting this bar in the front of my civic, the car feels very "sure", predictable and controlled. I don't know if it helped in cornering tho. IT still feels the same when i corner. There is no doubt that it has helped with feeling of stability of the car. Similar Products Used: None. |

Looks good under the hood. Responsive steering. Able to make tight turns
Weakness:
Slight noticeablility. All good, nothing bad about it When you install it, make sure you jack up the front of the car to relieve the pressure on the front suspension. It also makes the bolts come off easily. Good for 'under the hood' looks. Comes in black or chrome Similar Products Used: None |

solid two piece design, won't break!, saved my damned life!!!
Weakness:
none i bought the front upper strut off a friend for 30 bucks. the day i installed it i noticed the difference. old civics have very weak suspension so it made a huge difference. a month ago when i spun out on a freeway in the rain and hit the wall at a frontal 45 degree angle that lifted the back end of my car off the ground the strut held up pretty damn well! the cop said that without the strut the engine would have been in my lap... unless my front left tire beat it there! - Cheap

None I paid $100 for this and I think it was well worth the money. Turning felt more crisp and responsive than it did while stock. Installation was EASY, took maybe 30 minutes. The only hard part was getting off the screws from the shocks because those were screwed back on by one of those airguns or whatever. I had a neighbor help and then I just slid the bar right on. Simple and easy. I also have Sprint 2.5" lowering springs so the handling was increased like 10-fold. I highly recommend it. Similar Products Used: None |

Front bar increased structural rigidity tremendously. cheap in price.
Weakness:
none i had the place installed the neuspeed front bar. it was difficult for the technician to install the bar. this is a plus because the bar *should* be under load to be effective. driving through downtown la on alameda made the bar's strength shine. the car shakes less, the dash doesn't squeak, and the ride is much smoother on extrememly rough roads. a must for older cars since structural rigidity are weak compared to newer cars. coupled with a rear strut tower bar of another make, it made my car even more enjoyable to drive. i highly recommend this modification. Great - allows me to take corners very fast and sharp without even a squeal.
Weakness:
Can't think of any I didn't install this - I bought a used car and it came with the neuspeed upper strut tie bar. Is a very strong plus and I can definitely tell the difference when I drive other cars - the bar relieves the stress that the car feels when i make it take a turn that hard. highly recommended. Strength:
It looks great under the hood, and it was fairly easy to install.
Weakness:
It did not make a big difference as promised. Although it did help me corner a little tighter, the difference is barely noticed. You really have to know your car to notice that slight difference. I paid $99 for mine, which was decent, but it was not the best price. I have not tried anything else, therefore I cannot really compare. If you are looking for that little extra edge, then just go for it. But, overall it did not perform as well as I hope it would. If you believe the ads, like I did, that it will make a huge difference, then be prepare to be a little disappointed. Similar Products Used: None |

looks good, improves handling and turning.
Weakness:
priced a bit higher than cheaper models which offer same affect. $129. I would recommend a front and rear strut bar, but go for the cheap ones cuz they are just as good. OBX makes them and sells for about $50. Similar Products Used: tenzo strut brace... its the same thing just has more colors to choose from. |
