Strength:

Handling much improved, ride quite reasonable. None of my passengers even noticed the slightly harsh ride. I love the improvements to handling, stopping and taking off. They lower the car but not to much, I haven't had a single problem with ground clearance and the extra 1/4" in the front evens the whole car out more.

Weakness:

none

With my car I only had to get the rear camber kit to get proper alingment, but be prepared to get both front and rear just in case. I plan to put Tokiko shocks on this summer.

Strength:

nice drop, noticeable rake

Weakness:

choppy ride with stock shocks

These were the first springs I installed on my '95 Accord EX. When I took the car off the jack, I loved the way it hunkered down over my 17" wheels and 215/40 tires. But on the way home, i thought I may have made a mistake! The ride was really choppy over the rough NY streets. But it held smooth road like a dream!!

Strength:

Tighter ride. No bottoming. Much lower stance.

Weakness:

Much rougher ride.

I installed the H&R Sports with Bilstein sports. I really didn't like the soft stock suspension and couldn't find an A4 I liked with the optional Sport suspension, so this was my solution.

There is a definite trade-off in doing something like this. You have to expect a much harder ride. On bumpy roads it can be annoying. OTOH, the car looks and handles infinitely better. I've thought about going back to my stock suspension but the ride isn't bad enough to trade back to the softness and "high waters" look of stock. Just be careful with ground clearance. I've never scraped a speed bump but have got my front bumper caught on a concrete parking stop a few times.

Strength:

Nice progressive ride. Excellent ride at low speed and through gentle bumps, and will get stiffer at higher speed. Very comfortable despite being so low. The front end lowers .25" more than rear which gives an aggressive-race car look when matched with 17" wheels. Will feel improvement in handling at the very first turn. Glossy black-blueish color give them a very nice appearance.

Weakness:

Too low for my taste and I'm talking about ground clearance, because the ride is excellent. Lately I removed them to give them a cleaning and found that the tighter turns of the spiral are scrapped to the point that the coating was peeling. Don't know if this will promote rust.

I wouldn't recommend them if you don't want to go low, or otherwise you will have to excercise extra care when entering/exiting ramps, however with practice you can master a way to get through. Definitely not for the common daily commuter like my parents. Recommended to match them with sport aftermarket shocks, adjustable if possible. Camber correction kits for both front and rear ARE A MUST. So all these extra expenses must be considered before switching to these springs if you want it to perform the best. I think H&R are the best progressive springs in the market, only comparable to Eibachs (more expensive) and Neuspeeds.

Similar Products Used:

Coilover sleeves + springs. What a difference makes the progressive rate of the H&R. The coilovers are so stiff all the time to the point that makes the car undriveable in bumpy roads.

Good looking and the handle does improve alot . from stock... not too hard and not to soft . just right..improved my car not in handling, also my 0-60m speed . makes the tires stick to the ground

Weakness:

the front low about an inch more then the back... so kinda weird if u look at the car from behind... other then that .. I'm okey w/ the spring

Over all . I would recommend to ppl. that want a race car look. but don't want to give up too much in ride comfort .. go for H&R .!! : )

Strength:

Great ride and very affordable if you shop around. I paid $220 originally for my Intrax but believe they are now about $180.

Weakness:

None so far as long as you keep your bumpstops or go to an aftermarket strut.

This is an excellent product and there is difference between springs. I had Intrax springs for 2 years and these are dramatically better. The H&R coils have a much better ride quality than and are not as bouncy. These have not sagged at all since I have installed them and when I had my Intrax springs they started sagging within three months. Only problem I had with the springs is that I cut my bump stops and blew out the factory struts, but have not had a problem since I put on new OEM struts with the full bumpstop.

Strength:

very responsive but at the same time smooth ride, feel the road, good drop (not too small and not too drastic, just perfect). great for the price

Weakness:

watch out for bumps (this is just lower springs in general). haven't found any weeknesses yet.

Very nice. took me a while to install, but it was all worth it when i drove it for the first time. recommend to all, this is great. the impression is that you get a lot more control of the car then before. greater performance, and at the same time feels just like stock when cruising (progressive rate really works). everything improved, especially handling. now the only setback for me is the tires :)
recommend to anyone who wants to drop the car but still keep it drivable in everyday conditions

Similar Products Used:

eibach -> smoother ride, although by it's stiffness you get better performance out of eibach if that's the only thing you are aiming for.
