Strength:

They hold air.

Weakness:

Cheap, price for Dodge, bad deal for customer!

I have bought 2 new Dodge Dakota trucks with these GOOD YEAR tires. The all were worn out by 18600 miles. Good year did nothing to help! Good they are not I don't care what year they are!

Cooper has more than satisfied me at a more reasonable price and a better tire!

Strength:

Durable, good traction, excellent all season tires. Need little attention other than checks on tire pressure from time to time.

Weakness:

None

These are the tires originally on the vehicle at the time of purchase. I have rotated them once and now have 60K miles on them. If it wasn't for the approach of winter weather. I would go another 5-10K on these babies. They have proved very reliable in every season. I would recommend them to anyone with a vehicle they fit.

Micelin tires and they are also good tire but won't last as long.

Exceeded expectations for tread wear.

We now have over 50,000 miles on a set of these tires and are about to go out and buy another set, even though there appears to be enough tread left to run another 5 or 10 thousand miles. We have been careful about proper inflation though, and that might make a significant difference.

Strength:

Great in snow and on the highway. I was in 18 inches of snow and in 4 wheel drive I had no problem.

Weakness:

Worthless in mud. Will not clean theirselves.

29,200 miles on the truck and 3 of the 4 org tires have the sidewalls seperating. Approx 1/2 inch from the rim the tires are seperating. I am lucky and the local Ford Dealer is replacing them. Look at your tires. One was seperating on the backside and the other two on the front.

i love my truck the only problem i have had are the tires that came on it.goodyear wrwngler rts tires came on the truck and at 14,000 miles the tires were no good. the dealership would not warranty them,so whatever you do make sure the vehicle you purchase does not have these tires or make them replace them before purchase

Strength:

It does handle strong and rigid while steering on open highways.

Weakness:

NO traction on any type of surface. Loud. Expensive direct replacement.

It''s important to understand the SIZE of the tire and the year you bought the tires or the year of the truck when they were OEM tires. Tire tred design and manufacturing processes and ingredients DO vary from year to year. I own a 2000 Ford F-150 X-Cab 4x4 that came equipped with these 17" tires. From day one, they had absolutely NO TRACTION on ANY type of surface; light sand on asphalt roads, snowy/icy roads at a stop going forward w/out 4x4 in use, lightly wet roads and especially anything in any type of dirt (hard packed or soft). These specific tires had one purpose; to spin and not move. I spoke to a business associate who had the same brand, but bought 2.5 years ago and has had great luck and mileage out of them on his "LIGHT TRUCK". I would NOT recommend these on any type of normal duty truck. Very loud tires after a period of 20K miles. ALSO TOO EXPENSIVE REPLACEMENT, AVOID THIS TIRE IF YOUR TRUCK SIZE HAS SIMILAR DESIGNS. I dumped these at 33K miles.

Just bought new BFGoodrich Radial Long Trail T/A because Consumer Reports recommended them. Will follow up with rating on those at 20K miles.

Very unhappy with these tire. I had 3 flats in less than 24 hrs on a simple dirt & gravel road. Was stranded 16 miles from a main road. Ended up having to hike twlelve miles for help. Unaccaptable. Have had 4 flats in less than 6 months. These tires should never see a dirt road. Will never buy another Goodyear product.

Very unhappy with the tires. Have less then 9000 miles on them and have had two flats caused by nails. This last weekend blew out a side wall while off roading. Ran over a branch about 3 inches in diameter and blew out the side wall. The side walls are VERY thin! May be a good road tire but don''t try this tire off road you won''t be happy!

Model Reviewed: 1996 Geo Tracker

Strength:

The fact that these are the original tires that came on my vehicle and have over 80k miles says something! I haven't had any problems in the 5 years I've had these tires - on wet pavement, dry, off-road or in the snow. They handled just as I wanted them to. We have even taken my Geo up a 55-60 degree angle semi-muddy slope and it made it with these tires!

Weakness:

When the tread gets down to 2/32, they get slippery - but that is the time they should be replaced anyway...

I recommend this style of tire for those who don't always want to spend money on tires every 20k miles. I know there are other brands that are of similar quality, but since mine have lasted so long, I am considering getting another set. Also, the tread wear has remained consistent even though I have only rotated the tire maybe 6 times during their life.

Strength:

Quiet, decent treadlife.

Weakness:

Extremely weak tire. Shreds very easily. I destroyed 3 tires on my '97 4Runner - all on the left front sidewall. If you hit a rock or sharp object watch out!

These are fine for some light dirt roads, but consider these primarily as a mediocre street tire. They squeal easily on the street around corners, and shred way too easily offroad. This is basically a cheap OEM tire. I upgraded my tires for street to a Bridgestone Dueler H/P. The stick like crazy, and are wearing as well as the RT/S. For offroad I went to a Goodrich M/T (say no more).

Similar Products Used:

Bridgestone Dueler H/P, Goodrich M/T.
