Strength:

Handles the corners well....no protesting squeal. Fairly good in the wet.

Weakness:

Not the best in snow. Wear pattern not even.

Overall I like the tires. They did wear down in the center portion WAY too fast (properly inflated). They're just over half way through the treadwear warranty and will need replacing soon. Dry/wet handling and traction good... but wet traction decreased greatly when worn to the point they are now. Snow traction is ok at best...no quick starts.

The rapid and uneven tread wear will keep me from buying these tires again.

Strength:

Good grip and cornering when new. Good traction under braking

Weakness:

I had the tires on my Audi 5000 quattro, all four became extremely noisy with time, and there was severe vibration.

I would not recommend the Dunlop D60A2

Strength:

endurance, long wear

Weakness:

rougher ride than need be; but not too bad

i've had these tires on my '95 toyota camry since 4/95, over five years now. I've got over 74,000 miles on these tires and have had the car up to about 100mph coming back on a trip; the tread is still useable. They handle great, last long, but they do ride a little rough.

Strength:

Great performance for the money. Excellent handling in both wet and dry conditions.

Weakness:

Snow performance is quite lousy. Put real snow tires on.

I'm on my second set of these tires. The first ones lasted around 30k miles (of sometimes spirited driving!), so I got a prorated treadwear discount on the second set. You can't beat the performance at this price (~$60 for the 195/60/HR14 model).

i have a '96 vw jetta gls and they were a wee bit noisier than the stock michelins but i don't notice the extra noise anymore. mine barely lasted 45,000 miles under very hard driving (but my stock michelins only lasted 30,000). these tires really grip on the corners, under hard braking, and the performance on rain and snow can't be beat! i drove them from iowa to las vegas and back averaging speeds of 85-90mph most of the time with a top speed of 110mph. i drove through rain, sleet, and snow with great traction driving down the rocky mountains in colorado the day after a blizzard. they performed equally well in the heat of arizona. we get all types of weather here in iowa--from hot humid summers, to torrential spring thundershowers, to near blizzard snow storms. i'm amazed how these tires handle all of these conditions confidently on my 40 mile commute to work (each way). most of my driving is on two lane rural highways but a lot of my miles are on the interstates as well. i can also say these tires grip on gravel and unplowed iowa city streets on snowy winter mornings.

Strength:

Performance/Price Ratio=excellent
Good Cornering and comfortable ride

Weakness:

Hydroplaning is a problem in some areas.

Paid $65 for them 4 years ago.
Used them for 70K way past 45K warranty. Rotated & balanced my wheels religiously. Never showed excessive wear on any sides. While I won't recommend you go beyond 10+K past the tread life. I do feel very satisfy @ as the tires performed very well out in the dry LA area. I will say that I had them back east before moving out west and they performed well in the snow but scared me sometimes in the wet. That being said. for the price, I think it is well worth it!!

I just had to replace them (just for my peace of mind). Unfortuantely, they're so popular, no one has them out here so I had to pay for some Yokohama's. Darn.

Strength:

Superior Wet/Dry traction, A true budget High-performance tire.

Weakness:

relatively weak snow traction, quick wear with spirited driving.

I have had these tires for about 8 months now. In that span of time I have put approx. 10,000 fairly hard miles on them.
The real attraction to these tires is handling. The dry handling capabilities of these tires are well beyond anything else in its price catagory (with the exception of autocross spec. tires) It is difficult to get them to break away under hard cornering/braking. When they do break away, the transition is always smooth and predictable. Braking performance (wet or dry) is equally impressive. Wet weather driving is a pleasure. The heavily siped tires hold on very well....I have hit some hidden deep puddles at highway speeds, with never a hint of hydroplaning.
What I find most impressive about these tires are how well they adapt to any driving need/style. They are a quiet all season tire that is equally at home on the highway, or blazing up a backroad. Dunlop has really done their research here.
One area where the tire is a little sub-par is in snow traction. I have been in situations where I could barely get the car to move when the roads became snow packed or slightly icy. Granted, a 280zx is only going to perform so well in this weather condition, but I feel the tires could do a bit better. I guess this is the tradeoff for such good dry grip.
My only other complaint is with tire wear. The manufacture provides a 45,000 mile tread life warranty. My tires have under 11,000 miles on them, with significant wear. The center tread bar is raised in relation to the rest of the tire. This portion is completely worn out on my tires. I don't know if this is to be used as a tread wear indicator however. At any rate, I doubt they will last much past 15,000--17,000 miles. Granted, my driving style is probably more aggressive than the average driver.
All in all, I would purchace these tires again. For the money, you can't find a better combination of performance/comfort/safety. 5 stars!

Strength:

not expensive, good value, great wet traction, no problems

Weakness:

slightly high road noise.

Less than 60 per tire for 185/60-14 size. no handling problems, love them. not perfect, but what is? not the best for cornering, and some (not a lot) of road noise at speeds of 50 to 60.

Dry grip, cost

Weakness:

$60/tire (several years ago)
Outstanding dry grip (could not make it lose grip in spite of best efforts), very good wet grip, poor snow grip (couldn't get up hill in snowy conditions). Owned them on Honda Accord LX-i (1988) and was so impressed that I recommended to friend for his own Integra -- he was equally impressed (he has JLB model and replaced Michelin MXV4, which he hated).
Unbelievable price (especially now at $50/tire), HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION

Strength:

excellent handling, very good in both wet & dry conditions

Weakness:

a little noisy

Have a set on the family station wagon (a Peugout Turbo- don't snicker, it's a GREAT car) amd the Dunlops have done all that I need in a tire. Handling is very secure whether in wet or dry condition. Even decent in moderate snow. Mileage has been as predicted-I'm nearing approx 35k on the tires and expect another 10k. Very reasonably priced via TireRack. Only slight negative would be on the highway they are a little noisy, not offensively, but u know they're rumbling below you. (Then again, I've never found a tire that wasn't noisy-maybe it's me?)

A very good tire and an excellent bang 4 the buck.
