Strength:

Smooth, quiet ride. Superb wet traction. Long wearing. Predictable handling.

Weakness:

Seem to sqeaul easily in cornering, but dry grip seems ok.

Paid $66.99 per tire for a 13 inch size. I would recommend this as a premium tire for a non-enthusiast driver as most people will not push the car hard enough to make it sqeaul. This a good choice if Michelin tires are more expensive in your area.

Bridgestone Turanza S--the "T" replaced it. The "S" handled better, but did not wear as well.

Strength:

Dry handling -- but only when you pump them up with a lot more pressure; with the pressure up, they handle almost exactly as well as much more expensive performance tires with less tread life.
Wet handling -- good compound in wet pavement without puddles.
Comfort -- they help with ride comfort, something my car really needs help with, and are quiet to boot.

Weakness:

Dry handling at reccommended pressure -- My car's reccommended pressure is 35psi. They handle horribly at 35, and I actually wore the print off about 60% of the heigh of the sidewalls, driving my first set at 35psi. Pumped up to their max (44), they handle much better (and I suspect they will wear better).

Hydroplaning -- they do hydroplane much easier than some high-performance tires I tried, probably due to the small sipes (whereas high-performance tires tend to have larger sipes and blocks, which helps dry handling and hydroplane-resistance).

A suprisingly good tire, priced competitively, with very long life. I put 85,000 miles of mixed highway and performance driving on them, and had lots of tread left. Previous tires I've had always wore out before their treadware warranty was up.

I bought them because, at the time, they had a lifetime treadware warranty, which didn't actually mean lifetime; it was measured in years, rather than miles, though. In the first three years, if you wore them out, you got new ones free; for the second three years, you'd get them at half price. Mine were all replaced recently, shortly before the three years is up, due to two raod-hazard-warranty replacements followed by the tread beginning to seperate from the sidewall on the other two.

Similar Products Used:

Goodyear Eagle GS -- came with the car, began blowing up at 50,000 miles.
Toyo Proxes FZ4 -- resisted hydroplaning better. Dry handling, suprisingly, was barely better than the Turanza Ts with extra pressure.

Now - BAD

These "T" replaced Turanza "S" tires, which had excellent ride, handling, wet and dry traction and low noise, but wore out in 30,000 to 40,000 miles vs the 80,000 warranty. On Honda Accord, Taurus Wagon, and Caravan.

These "T" are noisier, swayed badly and wore on the edges unless overinflated. Currently run 37 psi on Taurus Wagon and 40 psi on Caravan. And now rus Pirelli on the Accord.

Finally, two out of four on the Taurus have blown out at 70 MPH on trips. With very few miles on them. Belt slippage and tread seperation. Second time $1200 damage to Taurus.

The original Turanza "S" was MUCH better
