I had these tires rotated after 3 months and had to have them rotated back because of road noise.

These tires are not performing after 12000 miles! I was slipping and sliding in the rain tonight!! I am so dissapointed to have to buy new tires already!!

Bought 4 turanzas on 5/15/08 for AWD dodge caliber. Drove on them for 6 months- complained 3 times to dealer I bought them from that they were loud, shimmied at speeds over 60mph and pulled to the right- all to no avail- they said there was nothing wrong with tires. Rotated them faithfully every 6,000 miles. On 11/19/08(6 mos, 15,000 miles on the tires) I was driving home from work and fortunately was only travelling 30 mph when the passenger front tire bumped the edge of the curb and exploded. I lost control of the car and crashed head first into a cement based light pole. Fortunately no one else was involved, but the car was totalled and had I been travelling at a higher speed it could have been disastrous. I have now read many reviews and heard stories of "spontaneous combustion" and premature tread wear. Wish I'd seen it before.

I purchased 4 truanza tires in March of this year and already need to replace the front two tires. Went to have them rotated and was told they was in bad shape after only 16,000 miles on them. I feel that I should have at least gotten more time and mileage on these tires. I will surly go to another brand of tire.

Model Reviewed: Touranza T

Strength:

They fit on the rims. Stop ok in straight line on deep snow. They are no longer available.

Weakness:

These came on a car that I purchased 5000 km ago. Back then it was spring and they worked well except for deep water performance. Now it's winter and for the first time in my life I've bought winter tires for a FWD car. My car is a diesel and only puts out 52HP but it will spin these tires in 3rd gear if I punch it on snow, slush, or ice. They do not give you a warning before letting go in a corner and they do not regain grip until you have slowed down a lot (ie. hit something or someone). Incredible vibrations come from these tires when it is -20C as they do not go back to round after parking. It also feels like you are fighting a hurricane during breezy days. If I park on a steep driveway that's fairly slippery and only use the parking brake the car will slide away. I have to put it in reverse to make sure it stays put. Believe it or not while trying to identify the tire I found a M+S marking. Perhaps they got the letters backwards? New regulations require a tire to pass driving tests to get the Mountain/Snowflake rating although the M+S rating has not disappeared.

Did I miss a recall? The Touranza T should only be used as a Summer tire in fairly dry areas. If you have bought a used car with these tires please read below.

I've never looked at the brand of tires I've had on other cars...they worked just fine.

Weakness:

Noise! Good God the hum is annoying!

With 60,000 on my Accord, it was time to replace my OEM Michelin MXV4s but I wanted to go the cheap route and avoid paying $180 per tire. The Bridgestone seemed like a good alternative. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. The Turanzas are not a bad tire. They do well in the rain and in the snow. However with 15,000 miles on the tires, they now have a loud hum at highway speeds. Rotating them recently did nothing to reduce the hum. If I still have the Accord at 120,000 miles, I will be placing Michelins back on the car.

Strength:

Ride Balanced with ease with minimal weights.

Weakness:

I did a lot of research on tires for my 1996 Olds Aurora. It had Michelin MXV4. I absolutely love the Turanza LS-H. They grip the road, ride like a dream and are great in the rain. Snow not an issue as I winter store but I would not hesitate using them in winter months. Best value around but shop around as prices varied big time!

Weakness:

Never will I trust a Bridgestone Turanza "T" tire again.

While traveling at freeway speeds a Bridgestone Turanza "T" just blew apart. It sounded like gun fire and I luckily got over to the side. I had my grandkids in the car. The incident ruined my $ 600 chrome wheel on my 2001 Lexus plus the tire will cost over $ 800.

Model Reviewed: On a 92 Seville

Strength:

Strong traction, good wet weather performance, even wear and quiet.

Weakness:

No problems on a 92 Seville.

I noticed a marked handling improvement as soon as I drove away with theses on. They hug the road and are very quiet. A 92 Seville is not a performance car but I have no complaints about these tires. They have been a good value. I now have about 30K miles on the front and 20K on the rear. I had to replace the OEM's on the front first, mounted the Bridgestones and bought them again for the rear two years later. They are rated 80K miles and I will probably get there.

Strength:

Hydro-plane resistance, wet traction, smooth ride. The $18,000 car rode more like a $25,000 car when these tires were installed.

Weakness:

Dry handling. These are not performance tires, but they are predictable, anyway.

I've used these tires on every car I've owned since 1996. They have great traction in the rain and are long-wearing. It took me over 60,000 miles of hard downtown-delivery driving to wear out the front pair...and they weren't rotated for the last 30,000 (that's what you get when you put your younger brother in charge of something). The Goodyear Eagle GA tires that were originally on the car were unsafe after 25,000 miles (rotated every 6,000).

Model Reviewed: 1994 Acura Integra GSR sedan

Strength:

They will spin like mad when you hit second gear hard and will do more than chirp into third. This is cool... but the grip is atrocious. These tires absolutely suck. The only other good thing is that I have Michelin tires in the back so with less traction up front it is harder to get the car into oversteer in corners... you really have to just completely let off the gas mid-turn or nail the brakes. The car actually drifts almost completely sideways with this tire set up. Problem is... the tires are so lousy that you are drifting, but not very fast through the corner. It is fun to impress friends though.

Weakness:

Cannot go around corners, cannot get traction off the line in first and cannot hook up well into second either.

I would not recommend these tires to anyone under any condition. They grip so poorly they are unsafe if an emergency manuever is necessary.

Similar Products Used:

I had Nitto NT450 (205/40zr17) on my last Acura and it would kill this one at the limits in corners. These turanzas (195/55t or some other cruddy rating 15) are good for only one thing... busting them loose.
