Very bad customer service and poor maintained cars. i have rented a economy car from fox rent a car for 3 days in las vegas location. on the 2nd day the antifreeze burst out and started smoke come out from the hood. when i went to replace for another car the nmanager was really mean. rather than apologize he accused me of hitting something. he did not wanna give me another car till next morning to check the car by his machanic to make sure there was no physical damage. i have wested couple of hours there urguing with him. then he wants to open a claim with my insurance company in order to give me another car. long story short, horroble servise, poor maintained car with cheap price. trust me it,s not worth it attall. never renting from this company again.

my boyfriend and i rented a 2010 toyota prius for 16 days in august/september.
we rented it from seattle and drove it all down the california coast and then left it in LA so we could fly home.
the car was clean and comfy and the price was $1000 less then any other rental company that we had priced out.
we didn't experience any car issues, and returning the car was so simple and quick.
when we researched rental companies we were perplexed because we read so many negative reviews about this company... but it is our opinion that if you are smart, read all the small print, take care of the car, and ensure you have proper insurance coverage in case anything does happen, then you will be fine.
everyone we dealt with in the seattle location and the LA location, was friendly and courteous.
no weird charges showed up on our credit card, and we would definitely rent from them again.

I just returned from a 10 days trip through Utah.
I needed a one way car rental from Salt Lake to be dropped at Las Vegas.
The name brands other than Fox were all over $1,200 to $1,400.
Fox quoted $714.
I started reading all these internet complaints and was afriad to rent from them.
I wrote an email to the customer servive VP, and told him straight up what my concerns were.
He answered me promptly and assured me that I would not have a problem, and gave me his personal cell phone number.
We took the chance.
The Whole transaction from pick-up to return, was great. The staff, contrary to all the negative comments, were nice as could be, and the SUV was problem free.
I saved about $700.00.
Fox is OK by me.

This was the WORST Rental Car experience of my life. The staff were rude and unconcerned. Teh car had MANY scratches and dents. Unfortunately, I missed one small crease on the passenger door. When I came back with the car, they refused to listen and forced me to fill out an accident report. There was NO accident, and I didn't put the small crease on the door. I seemed very much like and insurance scam. The couple on the bus back to the airport had a VERY similar experience. Their car was wet when they got it, and they did not see a mark on the roof of their car. Once again, they were forced to file an accident report when there was no accident. No one knows hoe many times Fox charged for that mark.

Whatever you do, I suggest you NEVER rent from Fox Rental Car.

STAY AWAY FROM FOX RENTAL!! I rented a vehicle from them in August of 2010. I got into an accident (I was NOT at fault). Got rear ended. It took me almost 2 hours to finally get a hold of a live person to notify them that I was involved in an accident in their vehicle. The car had to be towed. I notified Fox Rental that I no longer had the rental. They offered me another one to use for the remaining days. I declined. Was told I couldn't get money back. I was ok with that.

I leave Vegas 2 days after the accident. Over a week has gone by and I get a phone call from Fox asking if I want to extend my rental. WHAT?????? I told the representative that I didn't have the car - had to explain to her about what happened.

I am just waaaayy disgusted with this company. They even charged me for 9 additional days - even after I told them I didn't have the car. I'm still fighting to get my money back.

They may be cheap, but you probably will get ripped off too! So..... beware!!!!

Engine light came on the last day (4th day). We thought of returning and exchange for a smaller car for extra days. She said yes but the same price and started the new contract right the way. I requested just an exchange for the rest of the day. I should have kept driving till the engine quit.

I never have rentals with engine light came on. Like to give no star but this website won't let me.

Made a reservation online. Received confirmation and a phone number via email. Noone answered the phone. When I went to pick up car, they did not have the reservation. Did not provide a car. wanted to rip off a higher instant price for that day. Not trustworthy. NEVER will go to FOX unless I want to get stranded and ripped off.

Fox Car Rental has no strengths

They checked me out and gave me a receipt for $136.08 and then chartged my credit card $150.00 I will NEVER use this company again.

DO NOT USE FOX CAR RENTAL THEY ARE CROOKS. I ONLY RATED THEM 1 BECAUSE THERE WAS NOT AN OPTION TO RATE LOWER.

THE SERVICE IN SAN FRANCISCO AIRPORT IS THE WORST I HAVE SEEN IN MY LIFETIME.

The service in FOX is the worst I have ever seen. Make a massive mistake (making my Expedia contract invalid) and then blames the customer. No apologetic attitude whatsoever. I protested to the employee of his mistake. But, kept blaming the customer. The Expedia contract of the car rental and insurance was no longer valid, due to the employee's stupid mistake. No apologies and give a take-it or leave-it attitude.

I will never use FOX again, and will post my review in every car rental site there is.

NEVER EVER USE FOX.
THE SERVICE THERE IS AWFUL, TERRIBLE, DISMAL.
NOT ONLY WILL THEY HURT YOU FINANCIALLY, BUT MAKE YOUR BLOOD BOIL WITH FRUSTRATION AND ANGER.
